Jerrod and his crew were great. Chimney had a leak which was difficult to find and stop. Also needed some basic masonry work done to the fireplace inside. Was able to schedule an appointment to get a quote on work needed. Scheduling was easy and he was able to fit us in even though it was a busy time for them. His team was punctual, professional, and paid attention to the details. Even when the leak was not completely stopped after the first round of work, Jerrod returned himself and was able to locate where the issue remained and had a man out within 48 hours to take care of it. Will definitely do business with them again.

Jerrod Rhynalds was very nice to work with. He came out to give us our initial estimate promptly, and once we scheduled the project we didn't have to wait too long. He answered any and all questions completely, and he and his team arrived right when they said they would. The finished projects are beautifully and professionally done.

I have hired this company twice. Once to repair a chimney water leak and the second time to remove existing hearth and old brick sides of my fireplace. Resurface it with stone veneer and quartzite hearth. The prices are reasonable. Remember you get what you pay for. Both times the crew including the owner arrived on time, ready to work, and very professional. The work was done on time, on budget and turned out beautifully. I highly recommend Archstone Masonry and will not hesitate to hire them in the future.

We have had problems with water leaks into our home for years and my husband addressed the issue by having a metal chimney cap fabricated and applying sealer to the crumbling mortar throughout the past quarter of a century! We replaced the roof twice during that period! I'll never know why my husband never considered looking for a mason. After he passed from this life and I had water damage inside my foyer when the new roof was only two years old I knew I had to search for another solution and sought out bids from masons. After several bids, Archstone Masonry was an easy choice with the owner's knowledge, forthright conversation and certainly the best price for what needed to be accomplished. It is now obvious that we did not have to replace the roof the second time in 2013 :-( The "team" made up of owner, mason, laborer and driver were extremely punctual and professional. The were punctual and continued working in inclement weather in an effort to complete the job before I was scheduled to leave town for a few weeks. They entire job took four days, only because one of the days was so wet the mason had to wait for new concrete cap to dry sufficiently to work around. Watching the mason and seeing his pride in workmanship was most gratifying and the end product is a handsome appendage. There is absolutely no doubt I would call on this company again if needed, and I extend my thanks to Archstone Masonry AND Angie's List for the choices in proven providers that comprise their list. Many thanks!
Description of Work: Took the old chimney down, cleaned old stone and replaced what was needed to be replaced, rebuilt chimney installing new flashing, flue liners, and installed a new crown cap with overhang of stone in lieu of common crown topping.

After contacting three separate companies for a bid on our pillars, Archstone Masonry was the most reasonably priced and our proposal was easy to read and understand. Jerrod came out to our home and measured the driveway distance and marked the spots where we wanted our pillars. He discussed the many different options and design ideas as well as understanding that not everybody has an elaborate budget. Jerrod coordinated with our gate company, met the gate guy at our property to discuss the project so that both companies were on board with the same plan. My husband and I work a lot and didn't have time to get super involved...but it was no problem for Jerrod to take it upon himself and make decisions based on what he would do "if it were his property". Every day I arrived home, I would see the progress. All of the tools/equipment/supplies were tarped and neatly put to the side. Jerrod rented an excavator to trench for us and after the conduit and wiring were in (sub-contract) he even backfilled for us and smoothed out the soil. It's all the "little things" that impressed us. In the future, we plan on having more work done around the property. I don't have to look further than Archstone Masonry. I would recommend using this company. Don't even bother looking somewhere else.

I called and left a voicemail. Jarrod got back to me very promptly. He came over to see the work I needed done (replace the entire front of the garage area with stone), reface a small wall and 4 columns that currently had brick. We reviewed all the work that was necessary, I gave him an idea as to what stone I wanted, and he sent me a quote very quickly as well. His price was very reasonable in comparison to a few other bids I had received. He told us to go to a stone place and pick out what stone we wanted. My husband and did that, called Jarrod, and he ordered the product and set a date for install. He and his crew showed up on the date and at the time he told me they would. He had told me it would take a week to complete the work barring any unforseen circumstances. He was right on, within a day. He even offered an idea as to what to do with the street number, such as cutting out a spot in the stone, and having a complementary piece of stone sand blasted with our street #. It looks awesome! They worked out how to deal with all the Comcast cables going into the house in a mish mash, and the electrical panel outside that they had to work around. They completed the work and cleaned up when they were done. He kept me informed of everything as the work progressed and we reviewed all aspects of the job. Everything went very smoothly and am very happy with the outcome!
Description of Work: Removed the wood siding and installed real stone on the garage side of the home, along with adding the same stone to a small wall and 4 columns that held our driveway lights. They shortened one of the columns to match the height on the other side of the driveway.

Arrived on time; set roof scaffolding and then began work. Removed old concrete crown and replaced. Installed new flashing on chimney where needed and sealed the old flashing. Re-pointed failing mortar joints. Completed work and cleaned up.
It went great! We got a discount on the labor charges from an Angie's List offer, then paid about $300 more for the materials, acrylic coating and rain flue covers. It was all done in one day. The owner, Jerrod, came to assess what we needed done and was very pleasant and professional to work with. His crew arrived to drop off the materials a bit earlier than we were expecting, which was fine. The masons arrived exactly on time and were very experienced, friendly, and professional; they were respectful of our property and cleaned up after the work was done. At the end of the project Jerrod came by to look things over and chat a bit. We recommend Archstone Masonry for any masonry needs and will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Performed tuck pointing for chimney, cleaned chimney crown and resealed it with acrylic coating, installed three rain flue covers. (I learned that 'tuck pointing' is the term for removing crumbling mortar and replacing it)...ours had failed years ago and we were getting rain coming through the chimney into the ceiling of our living room.

7/31 Friday. I called Jerrod at Archstone to discuss my need for some masonry repair. I mentioned his special for 8hrs for $439 and Jerrod responded that the price special for $599 for 8 hrs and the $439 was for 4 hrs. He said that the $439 special was in error and he was going to withdraw it, but he did say that he would honor the $439/4hr price. He wads on a jobsite and offered to call me on Monday. Monday , 8/3/2015: Jerrod called to discuss the size of the project, which a section of brick veneer, 2ftX3ft that had separated from the house at one corner. He asked that I send him photos to ensure he could do the work. Photos were sent. There followed another discussion of price. While on the phone, I pulled up the Angie's special to confirm the accuracy information I was giving Jerrod on his two competing ads. Once again Jerrod stated that the $439 special was in error and he was going to take it down and estimated the work to take 6 hours but said he would honor that price but that there would be a $75 cost for clean up and disposal and additional cost for brick replacement-if needed. Thursday , August 6th, I received an email message through Angie's that I was being scheduled for 8:00a a.m., Friday, August 21st.. Thursday, August 19th, David, a very nice man from Archstone stopped by to look at what would be required to make the repair and we discussed what might be involved. Friday August 21. David arrived at 9:15 and explained to me what the task involved. The he proceeded to disassemble bricks, clean them up, re-assembled them and using sufficient cement to keep the veneer identical to the remainder of the house, hose down the driveway to get rid of the dust and was on his way by noon.

Jerrod's team was excellent. They were fast, just as he described. He thought the work could take up to 10 days, they were done in 8. His estimate was spot on, and we didn't feel like we were being over charged. We got another estimate from a different Mason done prior to moving forward with Jerrod and we felt the responsiveness to our questions with Jerrod was much better. Jerrod's team was always very friendly and polite when we were home at the same time, and tidied their things before leaving each day. The last day they came back for all the scaffolding and the larger supplies then cleaned where dust from mortar had been. Overall, the work looks excellent and we will definitely work with Jerrod again when it comes time to redo our front steps. Update: we reached out to Jerrod again about something brick-facade we might need do some maintenance on. He responded very quickly, offering both information on how to do the work ourselves, product recommendations, and also the cost if his team were to do it. Really great customer service, every time.
Description of Work: Tuck pointed two sides of the house, repaired roof flashing against brick, and replaced iron support bar above window.

I purchased a Big Deal to work with Archstone. As a procrastinator, I let the discounted value lapse. When I mentioned it to Jerrod, he didn't hesitate to give me the original deal...very professional. He provided an estimate (which was greater than a competitor's estimate). But, the discount ended up evening things out. He made some additional recommendations and I went with some of them. He estimated 2 days of work. The work was completed in one day, and looked exceptional. His crew was on time, and after a slow start was still able to complete things ahead of schedule. Jerrod even revised the final invoice to reflect fewer man-hours...very customer-oriented. They cleaned up well. If you are looking for honest, customer-focused stonework; Archstone was great to work with.

It went well. Jerrod is professional and does high quality work. There were some hiccups on the way, but Jerrod took responsibilty for any mistakes on his part and followed through and fixed it. And when we changed our mind about something (extra course on a wall), he found a way to make it happen even though it was a little involved. The project took a bit longer and cost a bit more than originally expected, but in the end we got exactly what we wanted. I would use Jerrod again.

I just looked at his job a week ago and have been trying to get to the office to give him the actual cost( which we email out). I have been extremely busy and have other bids that I still have yet to get out ( most people understand didn't know he was in a hurry ). The project would of saved him 800 over the regular costs. Typical cost to rebuild his 4' chimney runs 3400 his direct cost with discount and materials would of been 2400- 2600 To bad his loss!!

Our old harth was cracking as well as some of the bricks holding up the harth. We wanted to get the bricks repaired and to replace the harth. We asked for no overhang of the harth because we have small kids. The first time they replaced the harth there was a giant ocerhang. We called them and they came out a few days later and redid it with minimal overhang. It looked pretty good when it was done. There was some morter on the harth stone but I'm assuming that happens win most projects

Did not do work ignore date of service
Description of Work: I spoke with Jarrod, owner. He was very nice and explained he did only Masonary work not concrete repair of steps.
I love working with Jerrod and his crew. Jerrod is extremely knowledgeable about his profession and easy to talk to as well. He let me decide on the stone i like, then asked me to join him at the stone yard in picking them out. I end up deciding on Montana Rockworks - a mixture of 3 different types of stones, in the following proportions: 50 sq ft Castle Rock, 10 sq ft Montana Antique, 10 sq ft McGregor). The old, ugly brick fireplace was demoed in less than 1hr. A few days later, Dave the mason came by to build my beautiful stone veneer fireplace. They start work early and are professional and courteous in their work - covering all the wood floors with Ramboard as well as cleaning up after work is completed. I think building a fireplace and attempting to fit all the stones together like a natural jigsaw is a work of craft - and Dave achieve that flawlessly. I love my new fireplace - everybody who has seen it has nothing but good words about it. It's definitely the centerpiece of my living room right now and i intend to choose the smallest light fixture to avoid obscuring the view of the fireplace face!
