It went fine with South End Tree Service. I used them twice in the last year, once in the fall and once in the spring. I am quite satisfied with the work. The prices were good also, very good infect compared to others. I think it was 1500 dollars in the fall and about 1000 dollars in the spring. In the fall they cut down several trees. I have a forested property. And they, I think a large log that they cut off and disposed off. The others were just cut down and rimmed and just left in the forest. The guy that runs it was there and I think his sons did a good job. I would use them again. My house is not landscaped the way most are I have 4 acres of forest. The trees are a 100 years old. We do things in the forest that you wouldn't do in somebody's city residence. The responsiveness is good too. They were there 2 or 3 days after I had requested. The first time a guy came out and looked at it and gave me a price. The second time I don't need them to come ahead of time, just come and tell me what the price is and I will take it. The punctuality is good. They certainly know what they are doing. I would give them 'A's across the board. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: The last time in fall South End Tree Service cut down several trees.

I believe I needed to leave a message and they called me back quickly. They were willing to meet me within the next day or so (On a Saturday as I recall) to estimate the job, and were willing to schedule me quickly -- weather permitting. they supplied me evidence of insurance. And looked them up up on the online database showing them as current as of my job with L&I and business licenses.
Description of Work: Several VERY LARGE trees removed from difficult areas with houses very close. Very happy with the service. I think the price was reasonable. It was more than I wanted to spend, but ... reasonable for the job.

South End Tree Service did very good work. They did not charge a lot to do this job and the price was wonderful. They cleaned up after themselves. They took off the top of my heating & air conditioning unit and cleaned the debris there. They went above and beyond. They were very punctual, but they did not call us before coming and I did not know until they showed up. I had called some other company and I thought it was the one I had called, but I hired them then. They were very professional.
Description of Work: I used South End Tree Service to take out some 35-40 foot trees behind my house.

After a big wind storm a large portion (approximately 60 feet long and about 3 feet in diameter) of an old pine tree fell onto our deck and over the top of our house nearly covering it. Early the next morning we called Claude, who had been out most of the night doing emergency work on trees over power lines. We luckily caught him just as he had turned his phone back on after a few hours of sleep. He came out within a few hours, with 2 helpers. We had considered removing the tree ourselves, but as it was resting over the house with a portion hanging over the roof top, we thought it would be dangerous to both ourselves and the house. We were very glad we called Claude, who is obviously familiar with working with trees. He had amazing agility walking up and down the tree and sawing off limbs to get it down to the main branch. He then rigged up ropes for his helpers to hold while he cut a portion from over the roof line to keep it from falling or the main branch from shifting. He and his helpers then removed the rest of the branch and sawed it into more manageable pieces for us to deal with. Claude was efficient and careful. The were done in about 2.5 hours. A neighbor who had a smaller tree only leaning on his house took several days to be able to get it down so we were very happy we found Claude.
Description of Work: Removed a cut up a portion of a tree that had fallen over our house.
