Awesome, the cabinetry looks like new! Ian came out early in the AM,protected everything that was not to be treated. He cleaned the cabinets and all facings (removed handles first), let that dry, then did any repairs before refinishing. Kitchen cabinets look like new!

Ian was very professional and friendly. The work was done in less than a day. Our cabinets had some water damage and they now look brand new. We had talked to several contractors about having the cabinets refinished and had estimates ranging from $20,000 to $25,000. When we saw Ian on Angie's List, we were a little skeptical but decided to give him a try since it was Angie's List and the reviews were great. So glad we did. Saved a ton of money and results are amazing. Would definitely use Ian again.

Awesome. Just awesome. First of all Ian is great. The quality is great and the price is great. We love what he did. We have a 1992 Buchan home with oak cabinets and woodwork. It was old, dingy, and too light for our taste. Now it's a rich cherry color. Totally transformed our home.

We redid our kitchen in October, 2007. We liked our cabinets but wanted them "refreshed". We met Ian and Cabinet Renovations at a home improvement show and had him come out and do our kitchen along with the cabinets in our second bathroom. The change in our cabinets appearance was remarkable! It has been nearly 8 years and they still look incredible. Over that time we have had many people comment on the look of our cabinets and wanted to know what we had done - thinking that we had replaced them. When we told them what Cabinet Renovations had done they wanted Ian's information which we provided. Ian does a tremendous job and it is long lasting.

Ian is a pro! On his first visit for our consult, he created three color-wash samples, from light to dark gray, on an extra drawer front we had. After taking some time to decide, my husband and I selected the medium sample tone and gave the go-ahead. Ian arrived as scheduled, did his prep work, and then applied yet a third, very similar test gray color. It was slightly warmer than the cool, medium-dark gray we'd chosen from his sample work. HE NAILED IT! I had been a little worried that the oak grain showing through wouldn't look good but he assured us it would and he was completely right (since doing a wash and not a repaint). The cabinet looks updated and just perfect, especially since we added simple, matching, but unusually shaped brushed-nickel drawer pulls. Lastly, it took a little time for him to return to fix the small spots we accidentally wrecked, which was fine as we're two counties apart, essentially. His repairs also turned out GREAT! Ian takes pride in his work, works hard, and was pleasant to work with.

Ian arrived promptly and explained in detail all that he would accomplish. Our kitchen pickled oak cabinets had yellowed and the varnish had rubbed off in places from 20 years of wear. Ian refinished the cabinets and they look like new. He had covered the floor and walls with plastiic, and when he was through he cleaned up everything. The yellow cast is gone from the cabinets and you can't even see where the old varnish had worn off. We are very happy with the results and plan to have him refinish our dining room cabinets.

Things went great! We called Mr. DuBois and agreed upon a time for him to come and inspect the damage. He was on time and repaired the damage on the spot. It took him about 3 hours and the doors look great...just like the other ones in the kitchen. We are extremely pleased with Mr. DuBois' responsiveness.

The owner, Ian, quickly returned my call, gave me a good quote for the job, and set up the appointment for two days later. Ryan was on time, very pleasant, and a professional. He made sure he protected all surfaces in my kitchen, and did an amazing job refinishing my cupboards. They are absolutely beautiful! The amount charged was as quoted. Kudos to this company for putting the customer first!

Ian returned my emails and phone calls right away. He explained fully everything that was included in his service. He was punctual and professional. Easy to have working in the house. Very personable. I would recommend him to anyone who needed to refinish cabinets.

Ian was great to work with. He's obviously very busy but offered to do the work on a Sunday if I wanted to have the project completed before Thanksgiving. I opted to wait but appreciated his offer. He anticipated the project might take two days, but finished it in one day by having an additional crew member with him. He explained in detail what the work would entail and followed through on every commitment. My cabinets included some that are original to the house (26 years old) while some were added by previous owners in a kitchen remodel approximately 15 years ago. The older cabinets had become faded and no longer matched the newer ones. Ian made them look much more similar and brought out the wood grain in the older cabinets. They truly do look like new! We're happy with the service he provided and would recommend him to others. This was a much better (and economical) option than refacing or replacing these cabinets which were in good condition, otherwise.

Absolutely great service. In fact, upon re-installing, Ryan looked at a couple of the cabinet doors and felt they were too dark-he took them back to the shop and re-did them. Additionally, we added a few things after the original job and Ian was able to add us to their schedule again. Everything matched perfectly and our kitchen looks brand new-a huge improvement! This is a much cheaper alternative to new cabinets and there was no dust and very little, short-term smell.

The owner Ian, and his son Nathan, arrived promptly on a Thursday for phase one of our job. We have blonde oak whitewashed kitchen cabinets that were installed in 1994, and while the cabinets themselves are in very good condition, the finish had worn off in many places over the years. The best way to describe what they did is that they turned back the clock. My cabinets look as perfect as they did 20 years ago when they were installed. I might say even better. They also refinished one bathroom cabinet and the top of the bathroom cabinet which also turned out beautifully. They were both polite, professional, and efficient. The first day they cleaned the cabinets completely and let them dry overnight. Then the next day was the refinishing process. As someone else mentioned, they were a real "find" on Angie's List, which is where we found them. They did a wonderful job for us and we highly recommend them!

This was a real find on Angie's list. My wife was definitely not happy with the "traditional honey oak" cabinets in our recently purchased home. They were in great shape so I wasn't ready to get rid of them and was surprised what the cost of refacing would be. I saw Ian's ad on Angie's list and the good reviews for his novel concept of renewing your old cabinets. So easy to estimate the cost. For refinishing (cleaning, sanding and resealing) you just multiplied the numbers of doors/drawers of your cabinets by $__. If you wanted a color change you multiplied by $__+. Don't want to state the price as it may change. But the price was at least half of what refacing would cost. We had the honey oak changed to a darker brown with a little red. Not really cherry, but beautiful. Ian can work with you on the colors. His samples we saw on line really show what he can do! We are very pleased with the result. Ian will also do those little extras at no cost that some other contractors seem to always add on. I highly recommend his services.

It took a liitle longer than he thought, took another full day, three full days. BUT it turn out FANTASTIC!! WE LOVE IT!!! Would recommend Ian to everybody.

We did some investigating to refinish our kitchen cabinets as they were very worn and dull. They had some areas that were down to the bare wood. The cost to do this was kind of out of our budget. They we were recommended to Ian at Cabinet renovations. He came over and did an estimate for us. We liked the cost savings so we told him to go ahead. The cabinets are cleaned and sanded where needed, and a cost of stain go on. Then it is finished with a coat of finish stain to shine them up a little. They did an excellent job and the cabinets looked 200% better when they were done. One of the best things about this process is that they can do it in one day and not have any disturbance to your kitchen. I would highly recommend Cabinet Renovations. This is the way to go if you want good looking cabinets at a reasonable cost.

We were very delighted by Ian's prompt estimate and work scheduling. The cabinets were not stained. We chose to restore them to their original coloring. The oak grain is beautiful. The work was done in one day. Ian arrived on time and did a fantastic job doing the work and keeping the areas he worked in clean and protected. We would definitely recommend going the route of restoration and certainly would use Cabinet Restorations again.

Very professional and easy to work with. They can adjust color to your liking if changing. Quick process so your kitchen is not off limits for days. It's the perfect less expensive alternative to replacing or refacing cabinets. We wanted a face lift without breaking the bank and that's exactly what we got.

Ian completed the work in only two days, and cabinets look brand new. He was prompt, professional, and his services were about 1/2 the cost of another company that we got an estimate from. You can review his website for a description of the process he uses, and before and after photos.

We hired this company after both a personal referral and meeting the company at a home show. The process is a deep cleaning of all surfaces, stain application, and four coats of lacquer. The results are great and the finish is probably better than the original 25 years ago. He arrived on time as scheduled and completed the work in a single day. Everything was masked off and we found no signs of any over spray. We are very pleased with the results. We did not include any photos but the website has a lot of before/after pictures.
