Description of Work: Reviewed all plumbing work, made recs. We have a 100+ year old house with 40 year old plumbing (copper pipes). He looked at all fixtures, pipes in basement, water heater, etc. Several small leaks were discovered as well as a crack in a pipe under the sink. We thought it was a crack in the paint. Little water was coming through this six inch crack, but he was able to fix it on site for a reasonable cost. We decided to fix the minor things ourselves. Miles was great - friendly and knowledgeable.

Description of Work: Replaced the hot water heater. Arrived on time and did the work quickly and left. Our electrician came in to do some repairs the next day and showed us how they left some exposed wires that should have been covered in conduit. Called W.E.S. the following week and they came out and fixed it, no problems, no hassels and no attitude. Will definitely use them again when we have our gas line run to the kitchen. |

Description of Work: I hired Washington to install a ductless AC/heat pump. I called them after hearing the 30% off add on the radio. As it turned out, it was only 5% off. Their standard discount is 25% off of retail pricing - good all year long. | |Unfortunately, when the crew came out to install they couldn't figure out a path for the line from the box on the ground to the bedroom. They spent 2 hours trying to figure it out. It also turned out that my circuit breaker was full (the sales guy told me I had space). They wanted another $2000 for a new circuit box so I said no. | |I had to wait week for a refund check. They refused to credit back my visa. | |I ended up buying a portable AC unit from Amazon.com.

Description of Work: They replaced our oil furnace with an electric heat pump. This also required installation of a side panel to our electrical panel. I was very impressed with their professionalism. They checked with us about every modification, explaining their reasoning. They cleaned up very well. There were no dents or nicks in anything despite their moving heavy equipment in and out.

[removed member name] We offer the whole amount upfront with the philosophy of not surprising our customers with any extra fees. Sadly, this is not standard practice among many other companies. That price includes the extra fittings required, charge for the hall away and permits that we pull as required by the state. We have had several customers tell our call center reps that while shopping around, other companies had not informed them that permits were required and likely have no intent on pulling them for a legal and safe job completion. In addition to pulling all legally required permits, we do not use any subcontractors having all water heater services done in house. That way we can ensure a quality replacement. I’m sorry that we missed explaining this when you called and hope that you’ll return for other energy and comfort needs in the future.
