From the initial call for service to the completion of the job, despite a hiccup, this vendor did a good job. There are some unique characteristics in the unit I live in that required additional work to ensure both the water heater and installations was in compliance with regulatory requirements. Due to an initial miscommunication of the requirements, a wrong water heater was delivered. The installers (Philip and Chase) quickly assessed the situation, clarified the issues, and put a plan in place to install the correct unit within a day. The installers who finished the job (Rich and Chase) went about their business quickly and efficiently. All three of the installers were polite, professional, and knowledgeable and communicated well with regard to what needed to be done and why, and how long it would take. They walked me through what had been done when they finished and explained the features of the new unit. The area around the new water heater looks much better aesthetically than the original setup. I am very pleased with the work they did and that the area was left in better shape than when they arrived. A job well done by the three installers who did the work and Washington Energy Services. I would use this company again and would recommend them to others.

Craig came and performed an energy audit at our request - found all kinds of things we had no idea were going on - blocked soffits in the attic, leaky can lights, unseen cracks in the drywall, unsealed heat ducts, unattached heat ducts, poor and old attic insulation, etc etc. The price to fix all that was twice was I expected but i had little basis for comparison. When I described it to another contractor, though, he thought it was quite reasonable. They came promptly as scheduled, did a professional job, cleaned up quite nicely after themselves and did an A+ job. Craig had promised a couple of items that didn't make it on the work order so he did them for free. Our first full month's gas bill after the upgrades was $50 lower, plus the house is far more comfortable now. I would highly recommend Washington Energy Services.

It went alright. We had competing bids of similar price but considering our old water heater was leaking on the floor of the house, Washington Energy was the only one who could get the new one installed in a timely fashion.

Very well did a wonderful job

We were researching water heaters and were looking at their website for a replacement water heater. Their website didn't list any prices so you had to drop an inquiry to get an estimate. We received a call back the next day from Joshua and he was extremely courteous, informative and not pushy whatsoever. We went through a series of Q's & A's and he provided an all inclusive estimate for both a 10-year and a 6-year warranty tank. He was very helpful and informative, even when I initially balked at what I perceived to be a high estimate. He explained that he was not sales commissioned and even gave me tips to consider if I were to go out and obtain other competitive estimates to ensure I was receiving all inclusive, apples-to-apples quotes from other providers/installers. Ultimately, we ended up going with them because we just had a higher comfort level with them and felt this was one area where we didn't want to skimp since we have a family of 5 and didn't want to deal with cold water issues and ultimately, you get what you pay for. Also, living in Edmonds, we are evidently required to go through permitting and inspection, which they covered. The install was very easy and friendly. We obtained same-day service after giving the go-ahead in the morning. The original time frame we were given was sometime after 2pm. At about noon, we received a phone call stating the install time would be closer to 6-9pm because the installer was running behind on a commercial installation. At 6:30pm we received a phone call from the installer and he was onsite within 20-minutes. He was very courteous and knowledgeable and reviewed the order with us in detail before starting. It took him about 1-1/2 hours to complete and we barely even knew he was here. Overall, the entire process was fairly simple and we were extremely pleased with the end product and service.

Their team came in and did exactly what we asked them to do. They had to cut into the walls and upgrade the gas line piping, to add gas lines so we can now have 2 gas fireplaces and a gas range in the kitchen. They were great to work with. There was a pipe that was making some noise, so I called them and they came right away and adjusted it by adding extra insulation, to stop the noise from it vibrating. They responded immediately and were quite attentive. Their crew members are wonderful, very professional and clean up after themselves very nicely. They were also great about removing and disposing of anything they took out during the process.

The serviceman was on time, very courteous and informative and fixed all of our problems.

Washington Energy Services put on gutter covers for us about two years ago. They were reasonable, they were competitive. I like the fact that they were prompt. What I didn't like was when I said can I have an evaluation form to fill out the guy handed me one and stood right next to me. I said I don't do this right in front of you. I turn this in later. So we had not a very good parting. I felt pressured to fill it out right on the spot. To do this you have to be thoughtful and they are ready to go, their truck is idling and you want me to do this in sixteen seconds? No. So I told him if I have to fill this out while you wait it's not going to get done. You are not going to like the marks that I give you.

Worker arrived on time, was clean, and explained all charges in detail.

They gave me options and gave me price differences. I would consider using them in the future.

The energy audit report was explained to me in detail and a copy was given to me. I had a good report and se he did not try to sell me things I did not need. I appreciated the honesty. I was very happy with the experience and the thourough report. I decided not to go with this company for the heat pump because the price was a little higher than other estimates. I would not have used them anyway because of the brand of heat pump.

They arrived right on time, removed the old tank, and installed the new one without any problems. They left the area clean and took the time to explain and answer all our questions. They were very professional.

My home has a water radiator heating system with a boiler, not a furnace. When I moved in--in 1987--the boiler appeared to have been installed when the house was remodeled in 1964. I added a new water heater at the time. Both had been chugging along nicely, but the boiler made one of those noises impossible to ignore. I made an appointment (with another company) to make a 'service call.' Their representative was very polite and helpful, and advised me that there was no possible "service" that would help the old boiler. He gave me an estimate for replacing the old system with a new unit using the existing water, gas and electrical installation, and gave me a decent bid, including product information and financing options. Then I called the gas utility, and they recommended Washington Energy Services (WES) as their preferred installer. I called WES and their estimator came the next day. He was very knowledgeable, extremely savvy about boiler systems, current codes, and the requirements for making a code-compliant, safe, elegant installation, with a heating unit that was 91% energy efficient. He reviewed with me the company's approach, the available rebate options from the utility, the variety of product options, and at my request also provided information about including a tankless water heater in the new system, as I had been contemplating one for some time, knowing that the 25-year-old existing water heater was running on borrowed time. The estimator spent considerable time preparing a highly detailed estimate for a completely new installation, as required by modern codes. The recommended unit was more efficient, the financing was 3% lower, and they were able to install as soon as possible. They began on a Wednesday morning, worked with a crew of specialists (plumbing, gas, electrical, carpentry) for three solid days. By the end of Friday, I had a beautiful new installation, a nearly silent unit, and a toasty-warm house with excellent, energy-efficient water heating as well. The bill was a big one, but I believe it was worth the effort, and I am totally satisfied. I'll be calling WES any time I need service.

The young man that was here showed up on time and was absolutely fabulous. He was so pleasant and friendly. He explained things to us when we had questions and cleaned up. He was thorough and I don't have one bad thing to say. You wouldn't had even known that he was even here, so we were just very, very, pleased. In our old home we had duct cleaning done for like $69 and it was absolutely horrible, but we were so impressed with them because the young man found a furnace filter that the previous owner stuck in the vent from the ceiling. It was unbelievable and I would honestly not go to anybody else do the duct work. I remember hearing to be careful when you get the fliers for duct cleaning and with our experience from the other house to me using them was worth every penny. It's really important to have it done and have it done well.

They were wonderful. It was on a Sunday, and they had a guy come out the same day. They were professional. There was an inspection done.

New HW heater went right in where the old one sat. They had to install a new stand (new earthquake requirement), but that was easy. They hauled away the old cement blocks that served as the stand. Also had to have a small tank installed on top of the HWH (also a new requirement and more cost), but all of it went in without a problem.

We used a special duct cleaning offer made by this company. The technician was very polite and arrived right on time. Unfortunately he was unable to actually clean our ducts as the builder had left them too full of sawdust and other garbage! However we were impressed by the technician's assessment of the problem and he gave us excellent advice about what we needed to do to solve our duct problem. Very honest and knowledgable.
