There was a bit of confusion with the initial contract that delayed scheduling nearly a week. Work was then scheduled 3 weeks later. That schedule was met. Work was done in a professional manner but took about 2 hours longer than expected. This was partially (if not entirely) due to the lead technician being called away for a couple of hours. Work was neat with one minor exception: joints in the heater ducting were very sloppy and covered up with tape.

The inspector was great when he came out. He noted all of the potential problems we might have in the future, and even helped fix a clogged drain while he was there (which was above and beyond what I had paid for at the time of inspection). I initially called Washington Energy because I had a feeling our water heater was on its last leg. They confirmed that it was time for a replacement. They provided an estimate 4 days later and a week after that, they came to install the new water heater and remove the old one. The technician took his time to educate me on the new water heater. The install was quick, clean, and the technician was very informative. Such great service that I am now asking them to quote me on a heat pump to replace our old furnace.

They answered my phone call on the weekend and they were the only ones that responded to my call out of 4 different companies that I had tried scheduling an estimate with for a door replacement. Nick Dwyer is a fabulous Home Energy Consultant. He was very patient and answered all my questions with detailed knowledge and good suggestions. He definitely cares about his customer's needs and offers competitive, affordable pricing as well as providing many options. They expedited my order because my door had been broken into and I had a door installed in 2 weeks by two installers who were clean and courteous and did a great job. Their administration was also very good and prompt about scheduling, appointment reminders, and follow-ups. I highly recommend Washington Energy Services for doors and windows.

WES was prompt in scheduling an appointment, and also prompt in keeping the appointment. Their representative, Miles, checked all of the areas in our home that were listed in the whole home inspection. He pinpointed one area in our home that needs attention. We were very happy with Miles' professionalism.

Wow. One of the most unprofessional contacts I've made in recent memory. I called because we are finishing out our downstairs into a MIL apartment. I wanted to get a quote on removing the existing furnace and replacing it with a more modern, energy efficient solution. Here is what went down: Receptionist: "Oh, uh...Did we install the furnace?" Me: "Um, no? It's 15 years old." Her: "Oh. Then we can't work on it." Me: "Really? Why not?" Her: "For, um... permit reasons and that sort of thing. Because if we didn't install it, we can't be held responsible." Me: "Wait, what do you mean, permit reasons? I'm new to the area. You mean there's some kind of law that prohibits you from working on a furnace that you didn't install?" Her: "Um, let me go ask." *puts me on hold* "Yeah, no, we can't work on that, because we didn't install it. It's our policy." Me: "...Okay, so it's not for 'permit reasons,' you just don't want to do the work." Her: "Yeah, something like that." Me: "Okay, thanks!" *hangs up* It actually was more ridiculous than that, but that's the gist.

It took a little while to schedule but I am pleased with the professionalism of the inspection and the time Miles took to make sure I understood his concerns over my plumbing.

Excellent response from when I first contacted WES through the estimate and installation process. Everyone was prompt and courteous. They installers worked on my timeline which allowed me to be gone part of the second day before the final review that afternoon. My questions were answered thoughtfully and clearly. Work was great!

The projected time to complete the project was a day and a half because they were replacing my old furnace and heat pump. The old furnace was working but the heat pump was breaking down after 30 years. The cost to replace just the heat pump was about 3/4 of the price of replacing the entire system. There were more problems to deal with than had been originally anticipated. The wiring to the furnace and the heat pump had to be completely redone. The project took 2 and a half days to complete. I was very concerned that the final price would be MUCH higher, due to the additional time and materials required. However, they were very kind and generous and considerate of my retirement status and the final bill was the amount I had originally agreed to! Everyone was polite, respectful of my property, and business-like. My system runs better than I had expected. "Everyone" includes the office staff, the salesman, the electricians, the duct cleaner/tester - everyone!

The scheduled appointment window was very large, but the inspection went well. Very prompt, professional, and informative. Could have been a little more thorough, but well worth the money.

No problems arose at all. Workmen were efficient, and left place spotless.

William Martinez, our auditor, was very practical, very thorough & very professional. He obviously enjoys his work & likes helping people. He explained what he was testing and how he was doing it. The process took over 3 hours and we gained very important information.

Provider came during scheduled time. He was very thorough in his observation of the existing system. He asked questions regarding the system, some of which I could not answer as I had been here only 6 months. Provider made his estimate, made suggestions regarding where I could get answers to the questions he had asked. He was professional, helpful, and very informative. I appreciated his taking the time to answer my questions.

It was a high quality job by a conscientious, capable worker. He was knowledgeable about all the details of the system and kept us informed as he worked through the house. A cloth was used to catch debris and things were left clean. As important to us was the fact that he was easy to work with - caring and respectful.

In October 2010 Washington Energy Service replaced our water heater with a tank less water heater. They did a very crude, unprofessional installation job. Although there are short gas and water piping from the old water heater available they ran a 30 foot gas line and about 50 feet of new water lines in the garage and punched a hole in the garage wall for the exhaust vent. As a result the water line is heating the garage and not savings us a penny. The bottom line is that I have not received any reduction in energy usage or cost. A professional HVAC technician, who was at our home on a different repair issue, could not believe the crude job that Washington Energy Service did. This has motivated me to warn other potential customers about the unprofessional work that Washington Energy Service does. They are now preparing an estimate on the cost to do a professional installation. Just maybe I can recover some of the over $3,000 cost with energy savings.

He suggested a complete shower pan replacement at an estimated cost of $690. I told him I would think about it. Subsequently I found another plumber through Angie's List that sawed the drain out without need to replace the entire pan - at a cost of nearly $300 less. I also asked about the water heater and possible replacement with a tankless system. He suggested this would be a good thing to consider since the house was nearly 10 years old and the tank probably was too. He didn't seem to notice that the existing tank was clearly labeled 2011 - something you'd think would be noticed in an inspection. But honestly for $49, the work was completed and info provided. Customers should consider that valuable but ultimately choose carefully regarding who you have actually doing the repairs.
