My electric hot water heater was leaking and needed replacing. After getting several quotes, I decided on Washington Energy Services. Their quote was less than quotes I received from other companies due to a special they had on water heaters this month. The whole process went very smoothly. I set up an appointment for the next day. Rigo installed my new hot water heater--he was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. I would use Washington Energy Services again and would definitely recommend them to others.

I did not use Washington Energy Services for two reasons (1) The exact same water heater I wanted was only $1100 from Home Depot. So they were quoting $1800 for the removal/disposal of old water heater and installation of new one, plus mark up on the water heater. (2) Their installation price was actually a fixed % of the cost of the water heater sold, not the difficulty of installation. I know this because they accidentally sent me a quote for the smaller version of the same water heater and the installation line item was dramatically less, even though the process was EXACTLY THE SAME the only difference was the water heater was slightly taller. It was easy math to look at the two quotes side by side and see the installation was a fixed % of the price they charge for the water heater. (install price/ water heater price = same % in both quotes ). So because I wanted a more expensive heater, I should pay more for the installation? BS. I ended up doing this job myself in under 3 hrs including draining the old heater and replacing all connections, and properly strapping the heater and paid $1,100 for the waterheater.

Hi [Member Name Removed], Thank you for sharing about your experience with Washington Energy Services and your water heater quotes. We are happy to hear that you were able to install your water heater quickly and within your budget. It is awesome that you have a working knowledge and skill set to be able to drain, install, and connect your water heater as many people do not have that. We apologize for any confusion caused by providing the separate quotes. May I ask if something happened recently to prompt you to share this information now? We see on your account that our last contact was in January of 2018. Did you receive a newsletter or direct mail from us recently? If you would like to be removed from our mailing list we can certainly do that for you since you will not be using WA Energy Services for any future projects. Thank you again for sharing and please message back or call us at 800-398-4663 if you would like to be unsubscribed from our mailing list.

We have a newly-built home with a large (and un-insulated) detached garage. As I'd like to use the garage as a workspace I contacted several vendors found on AL, ultimately choosing Washington Energy Services (despite some communication challenges during the quoting process). Job scope was to install blown-in R-49 fiberglass insulation in the attic, install and seal an attic hatch and install soffit vents as needed to properly vent to code. Job total quoted by WES was a little over $2300, we agreed to move forward and made the required 50% upfront payment. WES elected to subcontract out the project to a partner of theirs, presumably due to the size of the project. No problem, as their subcontractor was highly rated and communicated in a timely and professional manner. Plan was to prepare for install on one date, with the actual insulation install to follow a couple days later. On prep day the attic hatch was built and left about 80% complete, remainder to be finished on insulation day. The wheels fell off the bus however, when the tech from the subcontractor realized that due to the building's construction, he wouldn't be able to install soffit vents as planned. This was in part due to: a) the lack of an actual soffit on the back side of the structure; b) a decorative fascia on the front side; and most importantly, c) error on the part of the estimator from WES. Things happen. With the impending snow in early February and the need to devise a new plan to properly vent the attic, the project was (to be) briefly put on hold. Over the next couple of weeks I had a number of back and forth email conversations with the subcontractor regarding ventilation options and getting back on the schedule. I came to understand that they were waiting for the green light and instructions from WES. Subsequently, and interestingly enough, I received an email from American Express indicating that I'd received a credit from WES for the deposit that I'd paid the previous month. Not a word from Washington Energy Services, but from AMEX. Really?! I've attempted to follow up directly with WES, with both the initial sales rep as well as their billing department but have been completed ghosted. I understand that projects often hit unforeseen snags that require a change in scope and cost, but these types of issues are typically handled via timely and honest communication. To simply cancel a job — without communicating directly with your customer is just bush-league. Unbelievable.

Hired WES to install a new water heater and a whole home filter to decrease the sediment from the city line. I originally was considering a tankless water heater. Robert clearly laid out the options, patiently answered my questions, and didn't pressure me when I ultimately decided on simply replacing the existing electric tank with a new one. Russ walked me through the filter job, addressed all my concerns, and did a great job. Would recommend Robert, Russ and the rest of the WES crew and use them again if needed.

We followed the recommended process of requesting bids from three contractors. We felt comfortable with the bid from Washington Energy Services of Lynwood. There was a slight delay in getting the job started but we were willing to wait. Once they notified us of the project start date things moved very quickly, the dumpster was delivered, the materials were delivered and the work crew showed up the following Monday. The lead on the crew was Dennis T and was assisted by Kyle. I was impressed that they wanted to schedule a quick meeting at the beginning of the day and also in the evening. These meetings prevented any conflicts and also allowed my input. The crew worked well together and made sure that the areas were kept clean and safe. The progress of the work went very quickly and the quality of the workmanship was excellent. There were weekly visits by the quality control supervisions and they always had great praise about the quality and attention to detail. I was totally satisfied with the final product and would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for new siding.

I called for a quote. The person on the phone was reluctant to give a price, then quite rude. She hung up on me after providing a price. I called back to inquire further and she put me on hold for more than 10 minutes then suggested the first available appointment is more than a month out. I called a different company who provided a much cheaper quote and is coming tomorrow.

Washington Energy Services put a new water heater in our home almost 15 years ago. It was the weekend after we moved in. We were pleased with their service back then, so we called them again when our water heater leaked everywhere. They were able to come out the very next day and put our new water heater in. They took care of necessary permits and made that part so easy. They understood the urgency of our need and were kind and helpful. We would recommend them for any of their services.

Replace old broken aluminum windows and patio doors in a house built in the 1980s. Worked with Greg Serna(sales), John Lewis(Installation Lead) and Randy(Lead installer). I liked that Greg's sales presentation was informative and no pressure and listened to what I wanted. I had 5 companies coming out to do the bid and choose Washington Energy partially because how Greg represented his company. Greg has also been responsive and communicative throughout the process when I have questions/issues. From signing the contract to the actual installation date took about 3 month; it was more than the 6 to 8 weeks window I was told. Contract was signed in late April and installation didn't happen until late July. I think Summer is just a busy time for them and I understand so it's not a big deal. Overall, I am happy with the installation process. Randy and his crew were professional and overall did a good job. They sent couple more folks out on day 2 and day 3 of installation period to make sure the job gets done on time as promised to me. I did notice couple issues after installation that I have filed a ticket with Washington Energy Service. They responded and said they ordered the parts and will come out and address them at same time. It does take them awhile to get the parts; it has been a month. Hopefully, they'll be able to come out and address those issues soon. The replacement windows are vinyl and I do notice a huge difference in insulation. The only feedback I have on those windows is the manufacture could improve on those screens. They get bend out of alignment pretty easily. The installer had to fix a few of them. I also wish the mechanism to open/close the patio screen door is more user friendly or easier to use. Overall, I am still happy with these windows.

We really like WES and will hire them for plumbing and other projects in future. The plumber was punctual, efficient, and did not try to upsell. Price is probably a little more than you’d pay with other services, but not exhorbitant and worth the service you get. This was our second major plumbing repair handled by WES and based on two very positive experiences, they will likely be our “go to” provider for plumbing and other home repair needs.

Job was performed well lower than A because of a couple of issues. Installers left behind and didn't haul all the garbage, not a big deal. Installers had dirty hands when installing Thermostat which included grease and silicon which got transferred to the thermostat and surround white encasement. It could have been done more professionally. I chalked it up to a couple of younger guys that were not paying attention to details.

The entire process was handled professionally and flawlessly by the WES administrative crew. While we selected top of the line products, there were other options available. Also, the work was completed on time, without drama and with no errors, conflicts or omissions. Speaking of top of the line, the crew sent by WES was certainly the best. Though Matt (didn't get his last name) worked on it the first couple of days and worked very well, Brian Paulin and Mason Massey did the lion's share of this job. My wife and I are entirely satisfied with the work they did for us, and very pleased with the results. Not only were they very diligent in their work ethic, they were both very friendly as well and welcomed our questions and commentary about the project. We have the utmost confidence in them and, as a result, with WES as well. Our previous experience with WES for our new furnace and A/C install was also very good, and our experience with the WES reps, Rob Cohn (siding) and Nick Grobbelaar (A/C), was very positive and everything was delivered exactly as contracted. Products, people, performance, value - all were great for us at WES.
