I want to state from the bid process to the last day of work everything went very smoothly. Sergey gave us a full schedule of all the work, which was extensive. Sergey worked with us on each step to make sure we we're happy and work was always completed on time. He and his crew we very clean and orderly. I was very pleased with the lack of dust in the house.my wife and I worked with Sergey to pick a stain color that really made us happy and fit our style. We could not be more happy with the outcome. From making sure the subfloors were free of squeaks, to incorporation of the new and old floors the quality was first rate. One of the reasons that helped us make our choice was that Sergey uses some very impressive sanding processes that keep dust at an absolute minimum. We were very pleased with the entire job, and on top of it all he was finished ahead of schedule. I also appreciated that our final cost was exactly as bid. I would have no reservations recommending WA Hardwood Specialist to anyone with a flooring project, big or small.

We interviewed several people to extend hardwood floors into our family room and then refinish all of our hardwoods. We found Sergey at WA Hardwood Specialist on Angie?s list and hired him because he was able to concisely and definitively answer all of our many questions and went into detailed explanations of how the process would work. It didn?t hurt that his bid was lower than others we contacted. Sergey completed the job on time with great results. He did a great job inlaying our new family room floor with the existing hardwood, helping us pick out a stain, and providing us with a new beautiful floor. He has a great work ethic, keeps his commitments, and is a true professional. We love our new floors and found Sergey great to work with. I just bought a house with old carpet that had hardwood floors underneath. This was my first time using Angie's List after becoming a member. I went with WA Hardwood Specialists because they were local to Lynnwood WA and had very good comments from other customers. He restored the floors to looking like new and gave me recommendations to keeping the floors in good condition. I would use them again.

I attempted to do the hardwood floor myself and after 2 days in the process I realized I was over my head. I found Sergey and had him take a look at my hardwood floors and he explained why some of the things I was doing would notwork. “He consulted with me free of charge.” I decided to hire Sergey and the first day on the job he spent over 10 hours prepping the floor and getting it ready for the first coat of Swedish finish. The floors turned out beautiful and I am so pleased with the detail. Sergey was extremely kowledgeable and hard working. I recommend Sergey to anybody needing high quality wood floor craftsmanship. I recommend Sergey and WA Hardwood Specialists without reservation. His craftsmanship, professional work ethic, responsiveness, and thoroughness are exceptional. He does what he says he is going to do in a punctual, effective, and friendly manner. These are qualities we considered (and valued) when considering contractors for our project rather than the lowest bid. As commented by other members, he took the time to locate and match our 20 year-old red oak and welcomed his expertise and guidance on stain selection. He corrected several things he found during his work that were not covered in the bid and did so without additional charge. His work on the stairs corrected work done by another contractor that was done with less precision and care. He removed and replaced baseboards flawlessly and left all work areas clean and free of scrap. The floors and stairs look great!

We had a great experience with WA Hardwood Specialist from the time of quotation to the completion of work. Sergey was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. His quote was competitive and his attention to detail was outstanding. Sergey identified the region of origin of our existing hardwood and supplied new flooring from the same region. This helped him to perfect matching the inlay between the new and existing oak. Our finished floors exceeded our expectations due to Sergey's quality of workmanship. Looking to remove existing flooring and install approximately 800 sq ft of new flooring. Spoke with Sergey Jefimov who indicated he no longer provides free estimates. He did a lot of whining about providing free estimates and not getting the work. Said he was too busy to provide free estimates. Have to rate his non responsiveness as a Failed. I encouraged him to update his Angie's List profile to reflect this change.

Could not have been more impressed with quality of the repair ! Totally trustworthy, pleasant and skilled. True to his bid. He was always on time and took great care in doing a dustless repair. The job also required removal and replacement of multiple doors, baseboards and a toilet. The hardwood flooring was running throughout the main floor with multiple stairs and ledges and adjacent carpeting. Not one problem. The sanding was done in dustless fashion. The old red oak flooring was also yellowed and well worn after twenty five years of pets and children. We chose to stain the wood with a red oak stain taking his advise and did the Swedish Finish. In just a few days this project transformed our dingy and severely damaged hardwood flooring to a thing of beauty and perfection. I give him my highest recommendation.

The project went very well. Our floors were in terrible shape. Sergiu was the most invested in the project before he started. Before he would finalize his bid he came out a second time to check on some areas of wear and discoloration. He estimated one day longer for the project than others but I think that was just being accurate, when others were trying to sell us a more optimistic schedule. He started the project on time and finished exactly when he said he would. The floors look fantastic. His bid was very reasonable (right in line with others). I would strongly recommend this company.

Sergey is a perfectionist and wants everything to look very good. He does a good job setting your expectations and will strongly recommend what he thinks will be the best option based on his extensive experience. All have his recommendations have worked out well for us. He is honest, punctual and always has a smile on his face.

Sergey did a fantastic job on our floors! We had purchased a home recently that had the original fir floors from the 1930's but it had been under carpet for decades. We pulled up the carpet to find the floors really needed to be refinished. We also had a couple of holes to patch. Sergey was very quick to respond and come fix the holes in the floor. The next week he came in to refinish the floors and they look amazing. Where there was some bad water damage, it just looks like irregularities in the wood now. The floors are so much brighter, the finish nice and smooth, and everyone who as seen them has been very surprised. My husband was nearly speechless upon walking into the house after they were refinished.

We have 450 square feet of 3/4" oak hardwood floors in three bedrooms on the main floor. First day Sergey removed the carpet, pad, tackstrips, nails and staples. Second day he used a big floor sander and smaller sander for the tight spots and parts of the closets. He replaced a few smal pieces of flooring which were bad, but after the sanding we were really impressed how our floor looked. He applied the filler by the end of day two. Day three more sanding and cleaning, and we decide to go with the stain. Wow! Looks great!! Day four he puts on the first coat of sealer. Comes back later in day buffs it and applies second coat. Day five comes back for the final coat which needs 24 hours to dry. After that he comes back on the sixth day and checks everything and installs the new trim pieces by our sliding glass door and bathroom threshold. We started our remodel back in early October, we have had fifteen workers inside our house for the various parts of the project, and we put Sergey of WA Hardwood Specialists right up at the top with Wayne from Wayne's Panes who did our window installation. Looked beautiful in no time. He was responsive, on time, very knowledgeable, and very accommodating.

Wa Hardwood Specialists did a great job all the way around. Besides the finish product looking good our biggest concern was dust moving throughout the home. They did a great job sealing off the carpeted rooms and we were able to have the work done with minimal disruption. The floors came out great and the communication and follow thru was very punctual. I will be using them again for my rental properties.

It was awesome. They wouldn’t put the floors in till the moisture level had been reduced by other contractors that were working on the job as well. They have great attention to detail.

He was outstanding. We found him through JB Carpets; who also handled the insurance claim. He was really knowledgeable and helpful. He was very meticulous. He did a wonderful job.

Very professional. We were remodeling and he quoted a price for our original plans, then he adjusted readily to changes we made in the process. We hit a few delays in the remodel and Sergejs was very accomodating and he always did what he proposed in a very efficient and timely manner. When I had some additional changes, he was very prompt to return and help get the project finished beautifully.

The work had to be timed around the closing on our outgoing house and the work being done on our new house -- Sergey and his crew worked on a very tight schedule to get our new house ready. Sergey shopped for material, found the best price for a perfect match. His team worked over weekends and holidays to install and finish 1500 sq feet of flooring, including a tricky staircase. He oversaw a subcontractor who did the baseboards and painting touch up at the same time. All the work was done cleanly and quietly on time and in budget. Sergey is very honest and direct -- if he can do something or not, he will tell you. This was the third time that we used Sergey's company, WA Hardwood Specialists -- the other two times were hardwood floor repair for a large water leak (12k) and new cherry floors for the upstairs of our previous home (20k). In all cases Sergey's price was significantly lower than all the other estimates I received. I highly recommend WA Hardwood Spcialists -- great price and high quality craftsman work.

It was a real pleasure working with Sergej, he was there when he promised to be there the quality of the work was amazing. The color of the stain turned out exactly what we wanted, which is very difficult to achieve. He was very patient with getting the color right and helped us through the process of selecting it. The equipment Sergej is using is amazing, he has a special vacuum and sanding tools that allows him to do the sanding job for us practically without leaving any dust. There was no need need to cover anything, which saves a tone of prep work. We were very pleased with the results and would always recommend Sergej to anybody.

He did a phenomenal job! You can't tell the difference between the 20 year old existing hardwood to the new hardwood he had installed. When he was done, the 20 year old hardwood looked brand new. Our neighbors were in awe! When we had to remodel our powder room 10 months later, we had Sergey come in to refinish the hardwood and put in more hardwood under our new vanity. Again, he did a phenomenal job. I would definitely recommend Sergey for any future jobs.
