Town & Country Fence

First team came in on on July 18 and installed all the posts; second team came in July 25 and built the fence along the front. Both teams took great care - the fence is dead straight, very well put together, and looks great - and it reduces the traffic noise.

Town and Country are the most professional contractor I have ever hired. Their estimate process was excellent, down to the last detail. (color, size, width, quality and showed pics or samples of all). They booked promptly, showed up on time and completed the job ahead of schedule. I requested work to be done over three days (a weekend) and they happily complied. They resolved a problem when it turned out we needed some longer boards to cover some uneven ground. A call was placed and the extra boards delivered. Great experience from beginning to end.

Arrived a bit late but got the work done on schedule. Used superior materials and craftsmanship. They were able to accommodate my existing woodpile (which I did not have to move).

They showed up as scheduled, fence looks great, no issues.

They showed up every time from estimate to completion as they promised. They had to replacel fewer posts than the original estimate called for and adjusted the price down to refect the changes. They communicated throughout the entire process as well as showing up as communicated. I would definitely use their services in the future.

The work went very well. They showed up and had the old fence torn down very quickly and put up the new posts. Those set for a few days and then a crew showed up and installed the new cedar fence. They worked very quickly and efficiently and the new fence looks great. Actually it looked so good that the neighbor who shares the fence on the other side of my neighbor's property with whom I replaced the fence saw the job and then asked my neighbor if they would replace the rotting fence on that side of his property also.

Town and Country built a fence with 2 gates for me 5 years ago. One of the gates was not closing properly, so Kirk came out to give an estimate on repair. Instead of an estimate, he fixed the gate "under warranty" (i.e., because they're a good company!) on the spot, no charge.

I highly recommend this company. It's refreshing to see a company who undersands customer service. Adam came out to give 2 estimates (because the scope of the project changed). He was punctual, technically savy and professional. The fence installation went smoothly and right on time. I chose them based on Angie's List reviews and they were right on the money!

We had some of top (lattice) portions of our fence blown by a storm. Frank came and took a look. He proposed a creative solution to repair the fence. Frank did a good job.

The experience was positive from start to finish. The representative was punctual and professional. He (Matt) was very willing to answer questions and discuss options. He and the office were also very responsive when I contacted them with a couple questions after receiving the quote and, again, after we committed to having them do the work. The quote was $100 less than others, even though it was of better quality. The work was completed as scheduled by a couple of very pleasant young men. They did a very nice job and left the work sites free of debris.

Town and Country did a good job of coordinating / giving me notice before the installers came out to set the poles. I had them install fencing along the edge of a new 6 foot tall rockery recently installed. The rockery had some irregular angles / curves where the fence would be installed. They were flexible / easy to work with regarding placement of the posts and did a good job of installing the fence. I would use them again.

I called a few places for a ballpark estimate on the demolition and installation of 150 ft. of fence. I thought Town and Country's price was reasonable and asked for them to come out and place a bid on the work. I made an appointment and they showed up promptly on time. They gave me a price for the fence and separate adders for the walkway gate and the driveway gate. A few days later I called back asking the work to be done. The work was scheduled a few weeks later over 2 visits. The first one was for the demolition of the existing fence and setting of the posts. Five days later the fence and gate were installed. The workers showed up and completed the fence as scheduled. The fence and the gates look great and work as I expected. I got a bill in the mail a few days later for the agreed amount. Overall the entire experience went very smoothly.

I cannot rave enough about Town and Country. Everything was wonderful, beginning with Adam who came out to give me the estimate. He was so patient and kind and detailed. He explained everything thoroughly and really listened to make sure what I really wanted is what was built (I had a different idea in mind). Due to a legal issue, it was critical the fence be built soon and Bryan went out of his way to make that happen. The guys who built the fence were polite and clean and also helped to explain the process.They were so efficient and I got exactly what I wanted, actually more than what I wanted. The fence itself is beautiful! I only wish I could afford to re-fence the rest of my property with the same fence. That being said, it is important to note the estimate was extremely reasonable (and less than my other estimates) and the bill was for exactly what was quoted. I could not be more pleased nor more happy to recommend Town and Country to anyone who wants a beautiful, reasonably priced, and excellent quality fence.

Tand C had installed fencing on 2 sides of our property a year and a half earlier. We saved enough to finish out the project with gates and invited them to bid the job. We requested they bid fencing next to the neighbor's chain link fence also, as they had limbed their cedar trees significantly since the first project. We decided to have the gates and the fence installed. Wow! I wish we had done it at the a year and a half earlier. They did a beautiful job. It would have reduced costs to have done the whole project at the same time a year and a half earlier as it turns out. They followed the bid exactly but I had not realized the pass gates wouldn't both swing in. It was my intention but I did not check the detail on the bid sheet and when I got home was disappointed to see that one of the gates had the latch on the outside. I brought myself to admit my oversight to them and they happily proposed a solution. The path grade was too sharply sloped on the inside of the yard and if we could make a slight adjustment they would switch it up. We did, sent them a note, and before we knew it they had come by and made the change. They really stand behind their promise of customer satisfaction. It looks awesome!

We were not sharing the cost with anyone else so we were pretty nervous. It was a big expense for us , so we decided to only do what we thought was necessary at the time. Adam came out to provide the estimate and explain what we could expect. Approximately 75 LF of 5' across the back of our lot, and approximately 80 LF of 6' on the west side. A chain link fence already existed on the other side of our property, belonging to our neighbor, and it didn't seem important at the time to have them install fencing there. They were very busy that Fall but ensured us we could get it done within a few weeks, certainly before Thanksgiving. True to their word, we were scheduled and installed but not all was right. The team made a judgement call about where to place the posts -- typically 8' or less apart and spaced evenly. They encountered some old buried debris that was difficult to work around . Rather than remove it or cut through it the posts were placed at the next likely spot. When I saw the finished product my heart sank. I shared this disappointment with them and they came out right away and fixed it. It looks great rain or shine and has added tremendous enjoyment and value to our home. We fully intended to have them come out to install the gates when we had saved up.

Called Town and Country because of their great rating on Angies List. They came out promptly and gave me a quote with options. I opted for the clear cedar option and pre-stained option. Work was performed a month later. The fence is absolutely beautiful. Very happy with Town and Country fence.

Town and Country gave us a phone quote and it was the lowest of the five companies we contacted. They were able to arrange a visit quickly and the estimator, Kirk, was punctual and professional. The quote was very close to the estimate. About two weeks after booking the job they called us to arrange the work to start the following week, on Tuesday. We had an appointment in the morning so they arranged to start earlier than usual so we could talk to them about the work first. By Tuesday afternoon they had cleared away our old wooden fence and set all the posts in concrete. We ordered the pipe base posts for an extra $300 because it seemed a good way to keep the wood clear of the ground and extend the life of the fence. After leaving the concreted to set for two days, they returned on Thursday morning to build the fence and remove the neighbor's old metal mesh fence. Everything was finished by 1pm. Our new fence looks great and we were delighted throughout with the speed and professionalism of Town and Country. We will definitely use them again when we replace the fence on the other side of the garden and would recommend them to our friends. Before tax, 120-feet of fencing and one walk gate were $2200. The pipe bases were $300 in addition to that.

Punctual and responsive, pricing was exactly what we expected. They were very patient in working with us to figure out the optimal solution to keeping our pets inside the yard of our new house. They also installed a new double cedar gate to replace the rotted gate that was there. Overall, the solution they provided works well for us and they were able to fit us in quickly knowing we needed to have a fenced yard for the dogs. Super nice guys that take the time to understand their customers needs, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Good representative gave estimate and good crew installed posts and another crew installed the fence a few days later. Looks great.

Three bids were solicited for this job, all from Angies’s list. The variance between bids was far more than expected with the high bid double the low bid for the same product. The design I wanted called for oversized posts, 3 horizontal rails, 1x6 cedar slats with a 1x4 facing piece at top and a continuous 2x6 top running the length of the fence. In addition to the cedar section, a length of chain link with gate was required. I selected Town and Country for their reputation, the working knowledge of their estimator, and for submitting a very competitive bid. The initial crew arrived 3 weeks after bid acceptance to remove the existing fencing and to install the posts for the cedar fencing. I retained the chain link posts and primed and painted them prior to the installation of the new chain link and gate. Time on site for the three man crew was under 3 hours. A week later a two man crew built the cedar fence in less than 5 hours. I was impressed by their organization on the work site and ability to complete the work quickly. A few days later the chain link fencing and gate installation wes completed. Overall I’m very satisfied with the fence. Materials used are first rate, the quality of construction is excellent and it looks good.

Excellent. We were given estimates, the project was detailed before hand. They came on time, completed the project as stated, removed the old fence section and gates, and cleaned up afterwards.
