Brad and his two sons are top notch. Very reliable, informative and professional. Their work is meticulous. We got four quotes and his was the highest but we felt the quality of the work and the professionalism made it worth the extra cost. Much appreciated to Brad and his two sons for a great job and this big project,
Description of Work: I had my entire house re-piped from old galvanized steel, drains replaced and rough-ins installed for three bathrooms and a laundry room remodel.

Brad was great: thorough, professional, timely, and friendly. We wanted to hire him because he made such a strong impression. Only reason we didn't was because we found a contractor who could combo both the bath remodel (including floor and tile) and the plumbing job, which meant we wouldn't have to act as our own contractor and thus we would be spending less time coordinating our own subs. We will definitely contact Brad in the future for our plumbing needs. His quote was competitive and he was the most thorough with the inspection of our existing plumbing in our not-so-comfortable crawl space.
Description of Work: Came by to give a quote to re-pipe all the old galvanized pipe in the house, install new fixtures for a bath remodel, and install a frost-proof hose bib outside the house.

Description of Work: We have used the Plumbing Physican for two different remodeling projects with excellent results. The most recent visit was to fix our water heater in an emergency situation - they called back immediately and promptly came out to replace a small side tank. I would highly recommend them and would not hesitate to call them for future projects.

Our kitchen sink drain pipe was leaking, our dishwasher was draining through a clogged Johnson T and our kitchen sink supply lines were poorly installed from a kitchen remodel done by the home's previous owners. The Plumbing Physician fixed everything and replaced our 10 year old hot water tank as well. The work was done quickly and the new connections under the kitchen sink are perfect. This is the 3rd time we have called on this company to provide plumbing service for our 40 year old home. We have always received outstanding service from them. They are prompt, professional and affordable. I only wish they did service calls! Highly recommended!
Description of Work: Replaced hot water tank and cleaned up drain and supply lines under kitchen sink including repiping drain for dishwasher.

Excellently. Brad communicated clearly regarding scheduling, was on-time, and offered a lot of good suggestions. He cheerfully explained things, but didn't waste time yaking about this and that - stuck to the point. He advised me of what he intended to do each day, and why, and he answered the phone or responded quickly to voice mail/email. He put drop clothes on the floors to help contain the mess, and cleaned up nicely every day. Most of the time I was not there while he was working, but I felt totally at ease having him in the house, as he is responsible and honest. My dog enjoyed supervising him while I was away at work. His wife came over a couple of times to help out; they are a good team. He stayed on-schedule except for the last day, and we easily negotiated the reschedule. He goes the extra mile to be helpful. One of the best things about Brad is that he was able to repair the walls after he was done with the plumbing. Saved me the time, hassle, and expense of having someone else come in to repair the drywall. And he did a beautiful, clean job on the walls.
Description of Work: 770 sq. ft. house: replumb all waste lines with ABS pipe & fittings, all potable water pipes using copper pipe & fittings, to include kitchen sink, bathroom sink & toilet, tub/shower, laudry, & hot water tank. Replace main water line from meter to house (boring service used). Install new water filter, new hot water tank, new toilet, new sink/lav/fixtures in bath, new kitchen sink fixtures. Hot water tank installed w/ pad, earthquake straps, water bladder. Old tank disposed of. All old piping, old bathroom sink & toilet disposed of. New water shut-off valve installed, two new outdoor faucets to replace old inaccessible ones. Repair of walls where work was done.

Brad arrived promptly on time. He is very personable and willing to explain what he is doing. He worked on the problems of low water pressure first in the upstairs and downstairs kitchens. Then he proceeded to the other areas in the house as described above. We weren't sure if we would need to re-pipe some areas, but after looking at the configurations of the plumbing, he advised that we didn't need to do such an expensive procedure. The outcome was great! We have normal water pressure in the upstairs and downstairs kitchens. He is very professional and we highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Brad flushed out the hot water lines in the upper and lower kitchen sinks and changed the angle stops to increase hot water volume. He also replaced valves in the upstairs and downstairs hot water lines. He used a snake to clean out a slow drain in the lower kitchen. He checked all the other drains and faucets in the house to make sure they drained properly and/or had normal water pressure. He cleaned all the aerators in the faucets throughout the house. He replaced the filter for the water in the upstairs kitchen.

Our pipes were a mix of types as the previous home owner thought himself a handyman and tried to save money by doing it himself. We even had a boat toilet in a basement closet for no apparent reason! Brad and Matt removed every pipe that wasn't up to code (just about all of it.) Rerouted both water and sewer lines, ran new pipes through walls and ceilings, as well as making sure every pipe was properly vented where needed. (i.e. kitchen lines to/from dishwasher.) Brad is a true craftsman who knows his trade. One really feels confident with him and Matt on the Job.
Description of Work: Brad & Matt did an outstanding job re-plumbing our 1942 cape code style home in Viewridge. Not only did they re-pipe the entire house but they even dug a new water line from the street to the home laying new copper pipe in a more efficient manner than the the previous home owner. Once the ditch was done, they recovered it as though it never happened.

He was bidding on the same type work as the other company and his price was even more. I just didn't understand why he was so out of line with the other guys' estimates. Not only was it more expensive as in double the price but the time frame that he gave was triple that of what the others gave. What it said to me was either he wasn't quite sure of getting the work done efficiently or he was trying to make the job last longer to make more money.
Description of Work: The Plumbing Physician gave me a quote on some re-plumbing for a master bathroom project.

We didn't quote you for just a replumb. You were remodeling your bathroom which on our bid was moving a toilet a fair distance (approx 5'), adding a lavi & setting a mud-set shower drain & shower valve w/ hand spray. If the other guy did all that in 3 hours, he is a genious. One day is what you were quoted from us. Our price is not out of line, nor is our reliability & time estimating. You're trying to compare apples to oranges - not fair.

I can not say enough good things about Brad and his company. They are always on time, work hard, and provide high quality service, and above all they are great people to have around. They've provided me with advise when I needed and came up with good solutions each time. From the original estimate, I've added a few fixtures and made two extra days of work for them. Even though they were already back to back with other jobs, they managed to fit my extra request without delaying my construction. They've installed all the plumbing pipes in clean manner that even my framers were complimenting that it's rare to have good plumber like this who would make the least amount of holes necessary in the framing for pipes. After working with several different contractors and paying thousands of dollars, I can safely say that The Plumbing Physician was worth every penny! I appreciate that Brad and his team treat my house as theirs and takes care of every detail. I can sleep well at night knowing that I don't ever have to worry about my plumbing.
Description of Work: I've hired Brad to do the rough-in and finish trim of my new house, approximately 3000 SF with 3 full bathrooms, steam shower, powder room, kitchen and all exterior plumbing. $17440 is rough in only, just the portion he's finished so far. I received estimates from three other companies and his pricing was in the middle, even with use of copper piping he's proposed unlike others who are using Pex tubing. This is one of a few companies who believes in copper piping rather than cheap Pex. The quality of work done is superb!

The work went very well, they were there right on time and finished up in a day. About a week later, I realized that the drain pipe for the tub was about five inches off and I called Brad and they came out the same day and moved the pipe without any hassle at all.
Description of Work: We are remodeling a bathroom in our basement and Brad, Jay and Matt jack hammered up the sub floor and moved drain and vent lines for the sink and tub. They were great to work with and took time to answer all of my questions.

The job when VERY well. I HIGHLY recommend The Plumbing Physician. We have worked with or received on-site estimates from 4 plumbers since moving into our "new" 30 year old house a year ago and have been, frankly, disgusted by the bigger plumbing companies. We are extremely happy to have found a small, dedicated and customer focused firm like this one. They focus mainly on remodels but have good relationships with other smaller plumbing firms for fix-it type services. We will never use another big plumbing company again. They completed the work quickly (about 6-7 hours of effort) and the end result is high quality. The house currently has copper and they re-ran or ran new copper throughout the area. The other firm bidding on the work was going to use Pex. I don't have a problem with Pex, but if issues are going to arise, they typically occur with transitions from one type of pipe to another. While the Plumbing Physician used all copper they still came in with a lower bid than the other firm. They also did an excellent job with the new drain pipe for the washing machine and re-routed the laundry tray drain/vent. While doing the remodel work, they also fixed an upstairs toilet that had come loose. Not only did they fix the shoddy installation done by the previous homeowner (only two zinc bolts holding the flange to the subfloor), they also tightened the toilet seat, adjusted the tank's water level and added a very clean bead of cault around the toilet. Very nicely done. The guys doing the work (Matt and Jay) were extremely nice and professional. Very easy to get along with and open to what we wanted done in the new space. Brad and Shayli (the owners) provided great service with a prompt, complete estimate based on Brad's onsite review of the required work. AGAIN - - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Description of Work: Roughed in all water supply and laundry drain services in new laundry/wine cellar area of house. Area is currently unfinished with exposed studs so no sheetrock/painting required, although they did install a half sheet behind a new laundry tray they installed (with faucet provided by us). Also re-ran several supply lines and one vent to allow sheetrock installation around laundry tray.

They were extremely responsive. We originally found that there was water in our crawlspace from an old leaking pipe. They came immediately and fixed the problem. They later came back and replaced all the old copper piping under the house. They were great to work with.
Description of Work: We did an extensive remodel of our house and used Plumbing Physician for the Plumbing work.
