I phoned Slabjack's office to ask for an estimate to correct a tilting 1926 front porch/steps assembly. The office was pleasant and responsive, scheduling a visit on the day before Christmas Eve, which was only a few days from my call. We somehow didn't hear or see that he had arrived to look at the porch, but we found a nice note and received a detailed voice message from the Slabjack representative that saw our porch. He carefully explained why the porch was not suitable for slabjacking (brick foundation problems) and also was kind enough to provide us with recommendation and contact details for a concrete contractor who could do the work very well, for a reasonable price. We really appreciated the kind way in which we were treated, especially since we were not even a prospective client after he saw our porch. We are moving forward on Slabjack's recommendation and feel grateful that we had the interaction and guidance from them.

I scheduled the service on a Tuesday and the crew showed up 8am Wednesday morning. They were done by 11am and cleaned the work area.

Quick response to the phone message I left, quick estimate, quick compleation of the job.

I found the company on Angie s List and called after reviewing their reputation. Initially I was not too impressed since it took 3 days for them to get back to me. I had called twice and filled out the online form. On the 3rd day(Thursday) I got 2 calls from them. On each call they gathered my information to pass on to an estimator. Shortly after that an estimator called and he provided a list of available times for us to meet. We agreed to meet at 9:30am on Saturday since I could not be home on Friday. Friday morning I got a call from my wife at 9:30am saying that the Slabjack estimator was there. I thought for sure that we were scheduled for Saturday morning, but wrote it off as a misunderstanding. They provided a reasonable quote and had an opening so we could get the job completed the same day. The work was finished in 2 hours and they left the job site in great condition. I was very pleased with the results. Saturday morning a Slabjack representative knocked on my door and I figured it must be a follow up visit, but it was the original 9:30 estimate that I had scheduled. They have some obvious communication issues but the service they provided was excellent and they were all very courteous.

They were quick, responsive and did the work. We had a good experience with them. The quality of work was good.

They did a great job. Another company bid the job without even addressing the sections of the driveway that had settled along with the garage floor and front porch. Slab jack raised several driveway sections and didn't charge much more than the other company bid for just the garage and porch. Another of our concerns was that the brick facia on the garage was cracked in several places from the settling of the garage floor and driveway. The guys were pretty sure they could do the job without making it worse, and were even optimistic the cracks might even close up some. After Slab jack brought everything back up to its original level, not only had they not caused any more damage to the brick, they were able to close most of the large cracks, so the brick repair will be much easier than it would have been. They were easy to work with and knew what they were doing. I can recommend them without hesitation.

The job was done on a weekday morning when we were not at home. When we arrived home the driveway was level with no sign that any workers had been there. It was very well done.

The price was less than I had expected it to be.

The guys came out the first time and figured out that even their longest (3 foot) bit wouldn't work on this stupid porch so the owner figured out another way of doing it and worked with us to get the job done. Excellent communication skills and the guys that did the job were very pleasant and seem to do good work. And they cleaned up after themselves! I'll let you if the front porch decides to stay up...but wasn't for a lack of trying on their part!
