They did an okay job. They painted and it looked fine. They outsourced the job to another company because of the timing schedules and problems. So, they did okay. The other company that did the job, I?m not so sure it?s their issue. It?s just that things didn?t work out and that had to bring another company in. I think the other contractor was a former employee of theirs. I think Settle Paint & Drywall is responsible for it, they obviously made a profit off of it. They didn?t just hand it off to somebody. At the end of the day, they were responsible for it. They did an okay job, not as good as they thought. They said they would do certain things and they didn?t do enough; and that is their responsibly. They were pretty good with responsiveness. At the end of the day, what their biggest issue was that they outsourced the job because they had other bids going on; and the guy that they contracted it to did not do a great job. They didn?t live up to the things that they told me verbally that they would do, the performance level. It wasn?t that bad of a job, but it wasn?t great. The guy that came out originally from Seattle Paint was talented, he knew what he was doing. The other guy was just going ahead. I would use them again as long as they didn?t sub-contract it again.

Everything went really well I was in a bit of a rush to get this done before all the holidays started as she hosts of lot of family during these months. Zachary was able to get me an estimate the same day we met and got me on the schedule right away! I contacted several painting companies and they were by far the most professional as I didn't really want a small fly by night company in my mothers home. I was very happy with all the work they did and will definitely call again when I need painting done. Thanks Zachary and crew!!

A little slow in getting estimator out (hard to get a hold of the company). Experience and quality seemed good, but their bid was almost 50% higher than the others. Will consider again.

I never had them do it. The estimator was a no show till I bugged the receptionist twice to have him call me. He finally gave me a price. It was more than I wanted to spend. Then when I asked about painting only the gate, he knocked only $50 off of the full price of $3000 when clearly it should have been at least a third of the price of the full job of garage and gate. The estimator basically didn't want the job and decided to be a smart-*** about it. Stay away from these clowns.

Zakary was very polite and professional with us and was great about moving his schedule around when our floorers were delayed. He always called/emailed/texted back right away and was very helpful in making a few different estimates for us when we thought we might have the opportunity to do some of the work ourselves. The work went slightly long because of a bought of good weather that allowed him to finish some exterior work. Can't fault him for that, and the job was still finished in well enough time for us to move in. SP&D protected our floors and fixtures very well and did a decent job cleaning up the place when they left. We had them do some repair on drywall too and it looks like new. I'm rounding up to an A in quality, but it was not 100% perfect. The surfaces all looked stellar, but the transitions between some surfaces could have used some extra touch-up work. For example, there were some drips of wall paint onto trim, and at taped edges the paint sometimes had flakes or minor tears. They left no drips on walls and the trim came out glossy and smooth. Overall, a top notch experience. I would definitely hire them again.

I use Angies List to find quality companies, the reviews here are very valuable. I really don't take pleasure in sharing our experience, but here it is: Contacted company on 05/02/16 to come to our home and give a estimate of possible areas of painting, needing to have the home prepared to put on the market to sell. Their representative came to our home on May 10th, spent about 45 minutes looking at potential jobs. Advised that they would send a estimate for the job(s). On the morning of May 19th, had not received anything, so called the office. Was told that they could print out and fax the estimate. Still nothing by the afternoon. After calling again that afternoon and leaving a voicemail with the office got a returned call and was told by "Zachary" that they were too busy to do the work and would not be providing us a estimate. So...good for them, business is good...that's great. But they could have told us this when we called to make the appointment May 2nd or the date of the estimate appointment, May 10th. Why should we find this out on May 19th and only when we made repeated attempts? They wasted over 2 weeks of our time in trying to find a company to do this work. We had a good impression when they arrived for the estimate and stopped looking for any other company to do the jobs. We find their lack of honest communication very unprofessional and could never recommend them. Guessing it's better to find out this client disrespect before the job was actually started, then to have them give us the "too busy" excuse in the middle of the job. I hope business continues to be busy enough for them that they do not require the recommendation of potential clients.

The painting job went very smoothly. They worked as per weather conditions in Seattle and completed the job in reasonable amount of time. The painters paid good attention to detail and cleaned and caulked the exterior very well before painting. We had contacted them last year to get the house painting done and there were some scheduling issues. At that time there was issue with responsiveness and emails went unanswered for a few weeks. Tim and Zackary personally contacted me after this and made the situation right by offering to take care of the house painting as soon as weather permitted. They were very good at trying to accommodate us at the very beginning of this season. They both were very good at email correspondence.

I must commend the team for helping with miscellaneous issues that could have impacted their work and the overall project. I think this illustrates their corporate culture and the positive attitude they bring to the job. For example, prior to beginning the house painting a gardener was supposed to help me remove some climbing vines on the side of the house, but he didn't respond in a timely manner and the vines were still there when the painting began. Zak calmly explained that his crew could help with that, but if it was time consuming beyond a certain point, they would simply charge their usual hourly rate. I thought that sounded fair. In the end, they must have dealt with it quickly because they didn't charge me one extra dime. Another example, when they finished pressure washing the house, they just kept going and pressure washed the front walk and back porch. The worker explained that it was not big deal for him. Maybe not, but it was a big deal for me, and that saved me a job that I usually tackle in the summer. I can't say enough good things about these guys. The paint job itself was great. I decided to change colors mid-way through the job. Again, Zak was calm, worked with me, and helped me keep the project cost to a minimum. Speaking of cost, I rated them "good" only because I know there are less expensive painters out there. Several years ago I hired some painters for less but the so-so job reflected that. Seattle Paint & Drywall does the best quality job for the price in my opinion! I referred Zak and the team to a friend, and I understand that work has already begun. Last year we both tried to hire a painter, and most were slow to respond and provide a bid, and some never called back even after several follow-up calls on my part. Zak made the whole process as easy, pleasant and as economical as possible. Why would I ever go anywhere else for painting services!

Project was completed on time for a fair price. They accommodated last minute changes and were very helpful with advice on color and details to make this project very successful. There are a lot of little details that make a big difference in a project like this and having a contractor who cares about the final outcome goes a long way in my book.

As a professional property manager I am always on the look out for a dependable contractor! They were very careful about the grounds while prepping and painting. I had some specific instructions about removing old signs, filling holes, etc. They followed my instructions precisely. We had them use several different colors to improve the front of the building and it made a huge difference. Their crew were friendly and professional and worked hard to leave us satisfied with the work. They were the most reasonably priced bid for this 10,000 s/f two story building + retaining wall.

Company was very good about explaining exactly what the cost would be and why, when I called them to possibly finish up a job that another painter was unable to complete. In the end they just did our front door, bc the other painters came back, but I appreciate their flexibility and their clear communication. They did a great job on the door and were very responsive via email/text/phone.

Did what I had asked for. ?No stone left un-turned. ?Always responded to phone calls. ?Willing to please.

This project was bad from start to finish. They were busy, that I understand. I specified that I wasn't in a hurry, so that they wouldn't squeeze me in, which I worried would result in poor quality. It all began with the carpenter. He did sloppy work. I asked him to walk around and replace any bad siding. After he had finished I practically had to beg him to come back and fix sections of bad siding that he had missed. Instead of replacing a full piece of rotten wall cap, he cut out small sections of it, and didn't make the new pieces match. So now there are these goofy looking transitions throughout. His siding repairs were sloppy too. The foreman was bad mouthing his own workers, many of which looked like they were inexperienced day laborers that were filling in since they were so busy, and he questioned he work of his own carpenter. I finally fired their carpenter and asked for a refund. The one good thing I could say is that they did give me the refund, and didn't argue about it. I hired my own carpenter to finish replacing the exterior doors, further siding repairs, and to fix some of the poor quality work that was done. One year later the paint for the most part looks good. But their caulking cracked in many areas just weeks after they finished the job. So I have been going around re-caulking. The ramp that they painted has peeled so bad that you can't even tell that it was painted. All around, it was a painful experience. I perform maintenance and manage the repairs on 7 buildings. I have to deal with all kinds of contractors, and did my research before hiring them. Their estimator gave me a good impression when I met with him, and from their reviews they seemed to have a great reputation. But my experience left much to be desired. I have contacted them a number of times this summer o check out the peeling ramp, but with no response.

We were very pleased with our kitchen painting project. Zachary was very helpful and accommodating working with us and Carlos and his co-worker did an excellent job painting. We love how it came out and will want to use their services again for the remainder of our house painting projects..

It was an overall poor experience. We have lost the opportunity to paint the exterior of our house due to lack of responsiveness from this company. I wonder how we got such an experience as the company has very good ratings on Angie's list.

I needed to paint my house this summer, during the busy season, and my work schedule prevented me from being home to meet people for the service. Patrick was able to work with my schedule to meet with me for the initial bid, described the services that his company performed, and added me to the queue. I was able to do the whole transaction remotely, with my neighbor available for the last bit (the front door). We discussed price, contract, scheduling the powerwash, the paint colors, and scheduling the paint job over e-mail and phone (text), which was perfect for my communication style and work schedule. Very happy with the job performed; the house looks great. I would use this company again.

The work performed was excellent. Repair of ceiling hole looks great (can't even tell there was a hole), and the ceiling painting looks fantastic.

The work was done well. They forewarned me of the relatively high cost of the paint job for a comparatively small amount of surface area, due to the needed prep work and cleanup.

They got busy and it was initially hard to schedule, Then when we actually talked (phone tag ended) we got it booked immediately and got good results. Its a good business, so it's worth a little waiting!

I emailed Patrick regarding scheduling the painting the entire interior of my townhouse. No response. I then called the office, spoke to a lady who could not answer any questions at all and said she would have Patrick call me back and took my name and number down. No response again. I would use them if they respond. Extremely disappointing.

It was fine. Important to read the fine print. Our bedrooms have chair rails so that created extra work for the team, which was not mentioned in the fine print. What was mentioned in the fine print was they don't paint the ceilings, trim, doors, etc, so we had to do that ourselves. They wanted to charge extra, but after discussing with the owner they decided against it. They did try very hard to provide good customer service, and I feel they do a good job of that. Regarding Quality: There were a few paint stains tracked from one bedroom to the hall, but we were able to remove most of it ourselves. They offered to come and clean it up, but I declined. The lines weren't particularly well done compared to what I'm used to seeing (my wife uses a product to harden tape that works excellent for crisp lines), but they were adequate. We requested a quote for the entire interior of the home, which was received. We'll decide later this spring/summer.

Multiple calls requesting an estimate for exterior painting were never returned.

We are going a different direction with the work and doing it mostly ourselves.
