I thought they did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves. They were here when they were supposed to be here. They did a very neat and clean job. It took a little longer than they had planned because the paint suppliers sent the wrong color of paint. It looks great and I would recommend them to anybody.

Seattle Paint & Drywall, specifically Jeremy Fike, were great to work with. Their bid was lower than other paint bids, and their quality was very high. They spent extra time and applied extra coats to one side of my house that was extremely dry and just 'sucking' up the paint, and did so at no extra charge - even though it took more time, effort, and paint than expected. They were on time and efficient. They worked hard to make sure both the interior paint and exterior paint was perfect. I would definitely use them again. I referred them to two of my friends and one of my neighbors and they all used them (after obtaining competitive bids) and were very pleased.

Seattle Paint and Drywall did a great job. Their first estimate was for a high grade paint, rather than the low grade we received on other estimates. I decided to change my mind after I saw the accent color didn't have much contrast. They spent 5 hours redoing the accent color and DIDN'T charge a change fee. You don't see that much these days. Overall they did what they said they would do and the quality was great.

Using Angies List I got quotes from 3 contractors. SPD came in the lowest, and while I usually choose the middle quote, after I spoke with each contractor on the phone I really liked Jeremy's knowledge, approach, and flexibility with regards to timing (he could start soon). He was flexible enough to work around scheduling delays with a different contractor who was replacing some of the siding, and offered to obtain and paint on the house samples of 3 different paint combinations so that we could choose the best colors. His crew started on time and did a very high quality job, from prep to finish. After discovering that the paint store didn't properly color-match the paint chip that we chose for the front door, he happily agreed to come back out and repaint the door within a few days. I would definitely recommend SPD to anybody.

Jeremy is a pleasure to work with. He oversaw the project form start to finish, made helpful suggestions about colors, made sure I was satisfied with the outcome. Xavier supervised the day-to-day work and was also very accommodating. He came back an extra time at the end to repaint the back porch trim. Basically, I have only good things to say - this was a very positive experience.
Description of Work: Pressure washed entire house. Scraped and sanded loose and flaking paint on trim, soffits, fascia, porch. Re-caulked where needed. Primed aluminum siding and sprayed on finish coat. Brushed and rolled on 2 coats of paint on all wood trim. Recoat front (wood) door with polyurethane. Clean up and dispose of waste. Excellent. Jeremy gave a complete and accurate description of the work required and how long it would take. His crew did a terrific job and the results are fantastic! My home looks brand new and so much better after the paint job! I give Seattle Paint & Drywall the highest possible recommendation!
Description of Work: Exterior painting on townhouse. Prep work included pressure washing the entire house, scraping and sanding, and caulking all joints, cracks, and knotholes. Three different colors were used and two coats of paint were applied. Upon completion all waste was disposed of and everything was left neat and clean.

We were supposed to meet at our house at 9AM to get an estimate. He called and texted me a few times let me know that he wouldn't be able to make it, but my cell phone wasn't working for some reason (poor coverage at our new house I suppose). He said he had another issue on Mercer Island and wouldn't be able to make it. Good of them to let me know he wasn't coming, poor professionalism to set up a meeting and cancel at the last minute.

Bill Johnson came to our home only a day or two after our initial inquiry, and provided a written estimate the following day. His crew was onsite within a couple of weeks (as soon as weather allowed). Their work was very professional, with attention to detail and they responded the same day to take care of three very minor "punchlist" items that we noted. Our yard was spotless when they left - the only indication that they had been here was our beautifully painted home!

They arrived promptly for an estimate and were very courteous. We also received the written estimate promptly. We did have to call to be sure that they received our signed contract and check. However, they showed up on time, worked hard and completed the job in a very professional manner. We feel fortunate that they were able to finish the job so quickly, since we did call late in the season for exterior painting.

Generally went well. They were very responsive when other companies were hard to get out to our house for an estimate (it was late in the season, when many people are trying to get exterior painting done before the bad weather starts). They were able to do our job sooner than they initially thought they might, and it did not take them very long. Their quote was not the lowest among the quotes we received, but we saw that they have an excellent reputation on Angie's List and a very clean record with the Better Business Bureau. Their license, bonding, insurance, etc. all checked out OK with the state, and many other aspects of the company made us feel that we could trust them to do a good job and stand behind their work. The only concern we had was that the first day of actual painting (after the prep work was done) was extremely windy here in Snoqualmie, and we felt that they should have waited until the next day for the wind to stop. They were spraying in very strong winds, and even had to put plastic over a car two houses down from us. When they were about 3/4 done with the first coat they finally stopped due to the wind. They were supposed to back-roll as the first coat was sprayed on, and we saw that they were not doing that. We tried talking to the crew, but the workers on the job were not able to communicate very well in English (one spoke English moderately well, but not well enough to sort out the problem with us). We called the company with our concerns about the wind and the failure to back-roll. We also told them that the first coat (as we looked at it at the end of the first day) seemed uneven. A foreman came out the next morning, and he brought extra paint and had the crew re-spray and back-roll the entire first coat. Their work looks very good, and we are very happy with it. They were also very accomodating when I made a mistake in telling them my preference for which color to paint one specific section of trim. As they were wrapping up the job my wife noticed the different color. Since it was my mistake it was an extra cost to repaint that part of the trim to the correct color, but the foreman was very good about getting the additional paint needed to make the change and having one of the crew come back out to repaint that section. I felt that the added cost was entirely reasonable. As I would expect on a large job like this, there were a few small flaws that we saw when doing the inspection at the end of the job. The painters touched up those spots very quickly, and we are satisfied with the outcome.
Description of Work: Painted entire exterior of house. The house is 3100 square feet, two stories. It has Hardi-Plank siding in very good condition, and wood trim that was peeling in many places (poorly painted when the house was built in 2003).

Everything went very well. The person I worked with, Bill Johnson, did an excellent job. I liked everything about the company. Jeremy came out and estimated. He was prompt, professional, and clearly knew his stuff. I was pleased start to finish. The painters were as professional as Jeremy; they arrived when they said they would and every day the work site was cleaned up before they left. The painting was PERFECT without any splatters to the yard or plants. I HIGHLY recommend them. BTW, I got 3 additional bids, all were MUCH higher for the same work, except one who I found out had his license revoked! Great quality and a good price! Hard to find these days from a quality company that's been around this long.

It went very well. The paint looks great. All the painted surfaces look very smooth and even, especially the doors. Everything was masked and taped very carefully, so there was no stray paint on other surfaces, such as the siding or decking. The washing was also very thorough. Our contact, Jeremy, was responsive, courteous, and professional, as were the other employees (though most are not native English speakers, which makes job-site communication a little difficult but still doable). And they didn't ask for a dime until the job was done to our satisfaction. Overall, the entire house looks much better, and it was a very good deal.

Was told the job would be done in 5 business days, it took 2 weeks. They were sloppy, never cleaned up after their work, no shows and no return calls. They washed their paint brushes in one of my bathtubs, leaving a paint ring and they never cleaned the tub. They used my kitchen sink to remove wall paper from wall socket covers, found wall paper in the garbage disposal. The workers drank juice leaving spots on my carpet. Two of the bathrooms required the wall paper to be removed and wall texture. The texture material was left on the floor, door knobs and doors. The job cost nearly $2400. This did NOT cover the crown molding, base boards, trim or doors. Asked what the additional cost for the rest of the work....they gave me a bid of $2100 plus $125 per door...which would have been another $2900. Needless to say, I did not want them to add that work. I wrote a letter to the owner, detailing the experience I had with his company. I also spoke with the owner and let him know the work was sloppy and not up to what they advertized. Instead of a discount, I received a letter of apology and a $50 dinner gift card. Later, I realized the painting was still not complete in the Master bath and one of the towel bars came off with the dry wall. I called the owner for the work to be warranted no return call. I went to his place of business to get the work warrranted. This is one of the worst contractors I have ever had to hire.

We at Seattle Paint & Drywall, Inc. contracted, in writing, with them. This contract was a mutually agreed upon and denoted all the duties we were to perform. We will agree with her that there were certain procedures performed which could have been executed better, according to the long standing, quality reputation which our company has held for many years. We at Seattle Paint & Drywall, Inc. worked very hard to remedy her concerns and issues, completing all the contractual work at industry standards. We were very understanding and apologetic to their concerns, especially her, and as she quotes, we gave them a $50 gift certificate along with our sincere regrets. We do not have anything negative to say regarding her, other than we have tried very hard to please her and regret that she has continued to be unsatisfied with our company. we feel we have done everything we can to resolve this issue. In the report that she submitted it states that base boards, crown molding and trim were not completed. This was an option that she could have had, but it was over and beyond the actual contracted amount. (an additional amount), she did not sign-up for this option on the contract, thus what we have completed was only the amount of the contract and it was performed to meet industry standards. If you would like to contact us further on this issue, please feel free to call us at 425-771-5406. Again, it is our greatest regret we have not been able to satisfy her. -Owner Seattle Paint and Drywall

The experience was very pleasant. Much easier than I thought. Bill who was the estimator as well as the project leader of our job came to look at our house and sent us a detailed proposal the very next day. The pressure wash team came on time and finished their job in half a day. We could not decide on the body color. I e-mailed Bill Thursday night about comparing 2 colors for the house body. Bill came the very next day, painted sample colors on our wall for us to decide. I e-mailed him our decision over the weekend. He and his crew came Monday morning start the job. Very efficient. Bill's crew finished such big job in 6.5 days. Six men came at 7:30am on time. His crew appeared to be experienced and knew what they were doing. No loud music or talks that might disturb the neighbors. The crew was very professional and did a wonderful job. Communication with Bill and his guys was easy. Once I told them what I like, they got it right away. Bill also gave good advice. Seattle Paint & Drywall seems to be a very solid company. They don't ask deposit up front. We paid them 100% when the job's finished. We all heard horror stories about painters took the money but never finished the job. This won't happen with Seattle Paint & Drywall. We had 2 additional estimates from 2 different painting company. 1 quote was over $15,000 not including sales tax and the job would take over 6 weeks to finish! Seattle Paint sent us a big crew of 6 experienced guys and finished the job in less than 7 days. Seattle Paint only uses Kelly Moore paint. We did research on it and found out it's quality paint. We are on the picky side as home owners but are very happy with the job done by Seattle Paint & Drywall.

I received an estimate in the mail very soon after requesting it. I called to make sure the shed was included and was referred to Bill, the crew supervisor. He was very nice on the phone and explained how to make that happen by adding $200 to the contract and mailing it back. Soon after that the crew pressure washed the house, then the job was scheduled sooner than I expected. Bill scheduled Chucky's crew who worked quickly, efficiently and professionally to prep the house, prime and paint. The whole house was done in about two days. However, after all the tape and plastic was removed, I hated the color I picked out. I was very upset and worried when I got a hold of Bill and asked for options. He was very understanding and helpful even though it was after hours. He came over the next morning with the fan deck of colors and recommended a color that matched what I'd been thinking. He seemed sorry to have to charge an extra $950 for the job, but I was happy with that. The crew retaped that day and redid the whole house. Then finished the rest in a couple of days. I love the color and the quality of the job they did. I couldn't be happier. Thank you.

This June, we had my Dad?s home painted. It had not been done in over ten years. Since the Better Business Bureau does not always reflect the true interest of consumers, I tried Angie's?s List. I gave three options to my sister-in-law who lives with my father and had her make contact with the three I felt best met our criteria. Of the three, Seattle Paint & Drywall quickly responded by providing an estimate within three days, and once approved they started within a week. My criteria was aimed at a top quality job, and that is just what we got. They prepped the area, protected the plants, power washed the walls, came back after thee days allowing for the water to dry, put on two coats, back-rolled the first coat, and cleaned up the site once they were done. Bill Johnson clearly did an outstanding job and we could not be happier. When we have the interior done in a year or two we will call them back again.
Description of Work: Apply a bleach & Jomax solution to all milled areas & pressure wash. Scrape & sand all loose & flaking paint & failing caulking. Recaulk all failed caulk on joints, cracks & knot holes. Mask all areas not being painted including unpainted gutters. Remove all unpainted downspouts & reinstall after siding & trim painted. Prime any raw exposed wood prior to applying finish coats. Siding two coats and back rolled after first coat. Trim two coats. Cleanup & disposal of waste. Included touch up paint of one gallon of each color.

After interviewing five companies and requesting separate bids for each aspect of this work, we engaged Seattle Paint & Drywall to repaint the interior and exterior of a home and the exterior of its detached garage, in preparation for sale. (Exteriors previously stained 30 and 20 years ago, respectively.) We selected this firm because 1) they had painted our fence the previous year and done a great job; 2) they gave a detailed plan of their services and specific product information, and 3) surprisingly, they also offered us the best price for each part of the job out of all the interviewed contractors. They repainted the interior very quickly and perfectly, filling all holes, and left it looking brand new. For the exterior they helped us with color selection, patiently providing color patches till we knew what we wanted. To protect the weathered wood they caulked all cracks and holes. Later some of this caulking showed up as too smooth under the slight sheen of the paint, so they painstakingly hand-re-textured it. The wood was so old and dry it took more coats of paint than originally planned, but they stuck to the originally-agreed-upon price. We feel they went far beyond the call of duty in perfecting this job and leaving us with beautiful results.

Collin and his crew did a wonderful job. He was responsive, detailed, and all around nice guy to work with. The crew was fast and did quality work. I would hire them again any time! I have, and will again, promote their services to others. This was the first time I had to have my home painted, they have set the service bar high for future jobs.
Description of Work: Fixed the exterior where there was damage. Painted the exterior with primer and color coats, and did the trim.
