I waited in the lobby for them to finish. They have vending machines in the lobby for refreshments. The lobby was not very comfortable. They just have a TV, and all the chairs are old and cracked. The magazines are out of date, and there is nothing to do in the waiting room. I have complained about it to them as well, and nothing has been done. It took about 1 to 1 and a half hours for them to finish. They get it done right away, and I didn't have an appointment. Every 3 months they will have a coupon for $17.99. The coupon is in the Sunday Flyers in the newspaper.
Description of Work: I went there to get an oil change, and a vehicle inspection.

I've been a Sears customer for 40 years and I will not buy another thing from them. The service was lousy. I ordered a refrigerator because my refrigerator wasn't working and when I ordered it I ordered it on a Friday and I expected it to be at least delivered on Monday but they told me that they don't make deliveries in my area until Tuesday. So, I waited all day Tuesday until afternoon and nobody showed up and they promised it in the morning. I called in and they claimed that the truck had a problem. So, they told me they would be there at 5:00, at six something I called in again and they just kept passing me from people to people and they were not responsible. Then I expected it to be the first delivery on Wednesday and they said they don't deliver on Wednesday. So, they called me on Thursday morning and they said they were running late and I'm assuming some other deliveries before they came out. They finally got it there on Thursday and got it installed. It was just such an experience and no one was willing to take responsibility at Sears.
Description of Work: I bought a large refrigerator from Sears and my refrigerator didn't work.

When Sears came out for the quote they were really good about everything. Several weeks ago someone from Sears called to say they would be calling me back to make an appointment to come in and measure for sure and all that. They were supposed to come in last week, but they did not come in last week. Our dealings with them so far have been very good; they have answered all of our questions. We were very happy with the Sears person that came out. We have not had the work done yet.
Description of Work: I got a quote from Sears to finish a shower.

They were very considerate and did a good job. I did feel they were expensive.

The installation process went fine. Ryan came out to install the dishwasher and he was very personable and helpful. However, I am not pleased with the actual sales process. The sales associate Robert was argumentative and not friendly, as if he were only seeking to make the sale. After making the purchase I did notice on the receipt that there was a 15% restocking fee if I was to return the item or cancel the sale after purchase. This information was new to me and something the sales associate should have informed me on before processing my payment.

Initially I went to the Alderwood Mall and I had already chose the freezer online. It was the highest rated style available. Our last freezer lasted 15 years and unfortunately the motor was not available. The Angie's List contractor offered to install an alternate freezer motor which I wasn't keen on. So we ended up checking consumer reports and found a freezer at Sears. I told the guy I would be over in ten minutes to pick it up. When I got there they didn't have it. Then they were going to upgrade me and we went back and forth on the price. They said they could get the freezer out of the warehouse and it would cost me $69. I told them I just talked to someone ten minutes ago, I have my truck here now. They were still trying to stick me with the delivery charge. Then they decided to go 50/50 on the delivery and I said "no can do". They then hooked me with a credit card by offering me a 30% discount. So I signed up for one and they wouldn't come across with the delivery so I told them I would not take it. The manager never called me back. I asked the guy at the delivery place and he said they had a freezer that had been setting there. The price was not that great and the deliverability was terrible. The sales guy was willing to step it up but not the manager. They are terrible and I have bought a lot of appliances through them. The only reason I went there was because of the consumer reports. The manager was not true to his word even when I confronted him.
