Richs Reliable Movers

Review post! I have been so traumatized by my experience with Rich’s Reliable Movers that it has taken nearly 3 months for me to be able to share my experience and write this review. If you are thinking about booking with this company please read this before proceeding. I booked my moving experience with Rich’s Reliable Movers after reading plenty of positive reviews online but my actual experience was anything but positive or professional. I advise you to LOOK ELSEWHERE and here is why. 48 hours before my move was scheduled, Victoria called me to say “I am so sorry but my entire moving staff caught Covid and can’t help you with the move.” I knew that finding new movers would be near impossible with such short notice in the height of moving season so I asked her to help me find someone that would help. Victoria assured me that she would make some calls, find me help and get back to me later that afternoon no matter the outcome. She never called back and never returned my calls. She left me completely high and dry. I wasn’t able to find anyone to help. Rich’s “reliable” movers stood me up and completely ghosted me. They were the literal opposite of reliable. With her whole moving crew out with Covid, I knew that my moving job with RRM wouldn’t be the only one that would be affected but after doing some digging online we read some reviews that confirmed that Rich’s Reliable Movers and the entire crew continued to do jobs while Covid positive just days after calling me to let us know that they were indeed Covid positive and would be unable to provide service. So either they miraculously found an entire new crew in just a few days or, what is mostly likely, the crew worked while Covid positive so they didn’t lose more work (or they stood up my job to take a more lucrative job elsewhere?!). They did not disclose their positive Covid statuses to new jobs, (our move was for August 23rd and the online review I saw was for a job they did on the 30th, just 7 days later-while still Covid positive and under obligation to follow Covid protocols, which they did not). Having to move an entire four bedroom house between just my wife and myself was a nightmare. It was an absolute disaster and the fact that RRM ghosted us, was so disappointing but then learning that they went on to complete the rest of their jobs just days later was wildly irresponsible, unsafe and put other peoples lives at risk for their own benefit and profit as a company. This was beyond disappointing, upsetting, unprofessional and worthy of a report to the Better Business Bureau. Look elsewhere. There are tons of reputable movers that won’t give you Covid or put you at risk. Can’t express my disappointment more. Victoria and RRM, if you are reading this, shame on you. Absolutely unacceptable. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Rich and Victoria spent a great deal of time helping me figure out my move. They provided clear and competitive pricing, and even referred me to a good storage provider in my area. On moving day three professional movers packed our belongings into their truck, then unpacked them into our storage. 3 months later, they returned to storage and repacked their trucks, delivering our household across the state next day, and unloaded all items with great care. Nothing was broken or damaged in any way. We are so very pleased and grateful for the help they offered, and they're final invoice was right on quote.

The truck arrived on time and the work was done expeditiously I have some large items and they had no problem with them

Horrible attitude, did not take care of belongings, broken mattress and dresser. I would never hire them ever again.

The move on May 21 was mostly ok. They showed up on time with 3 movers like I asked. They broke a solid wood shelf from Crate and Barrel while transporting furniture from my home to apartment. Rich agreed to pay for the shelf. He stated he would look for a replacement and have it sent to me. He never made good on that promise and we are 4 months out. I had to order the shelf because I work from home exclusively and I needed to put books and office supplies on the shelf and Rich did not return any of my calls. I made 7 phone calls to his office, 3 to his personal cell and sent two text messages asking for him pay for the cost of a replacement. I sent him the bill via text. On August 24 in a conversation I had directly with Rich, he apologized for the delay and stated he would send payment through the mail. This never happened and I'm still out $372.00. I was very empathetic to him and even stated if he needed to make payments I was fine with that. He stated that he is an essential business so the shut down did not impact his business and he had the money to pay for the shelf. I sent Rich a text stating that if I did not recieve payment by Sept 21, 2020, I would go ahead and seek help from Angie's list where I got the referral and the BBB. The thing that hurts the most is I paid Rich with cash and left him a large tip for his employees due to the hard times everyone was having during the COVID outbreak. I feel bad that respect was not resiprocated.

It went well. On time, on budget, no damage. Nice family business to work with. They were reassuring and walked us through the whole process, which was daunting for us.

It went great. After contacting several moving companies - many of which sounded flakey and unreliable, talking to Rich put me at ease. He sent me a confirmation email and a confirmation call the night before to make sure I was ready for the move. Rich and his helper Troy showed up on time. This was a divorce move and Rich and Troy's personable and professional attitudes helped put my ex wife at ease that decent hard working people were going to be in the house moving my belongings out. Unfortunately she did not prepare things the way she offered and agreed to so it was a bit chaotic for them gathering everything including heavy plants, volumes of books, fragile items, huge collection of tools, heirlooms and furniture but these guys handled it all very professionally and still got it all moved in under a full day (5 hours!) Nothing was broken or damaged. When we arrived to storage these guys also helped me get the right size unit. I wanted the smallest one at the cheapest price. Rich and Troy leveled with me really well and saved me from a small unit which wouldn't have worked at all. Everything fit like Tetris and not too high in the one they suggested and I can still get to my things with just enough room. The price, reliability, quickness and efficiency made me proud of American labor and I'd definitely use them again and even referred them to my friends and divorce attorneys. Daniel A.

The movers themselves were wonderful! I have never done this before so I am depending on the lady on the phone to know what I need. She was asking me how much stuff I had to move. Having 1 Dbl bed, treadmill, 2 shelf units, armoire, couch table, microwave, some boxes inside and half a garage stacked full of boxes, she decided it would be equivalent to a 1 bedroom home so was given a quote for 3 hours, that include 1 hour travel time which comes to $330. Within this I asked about moving the piano to new house and said there was a flight of stairs. Was told they could move it but not do stairs. No problem, I could find someone to do stairs. Movers get there, take 10 minutes to get the truck situated, then start loading. When we go through the house and discuss what is being moved, they realize it is going to take longer than 2 hours so they call extra helpers. They also did not know that we were going to move the piano and asked if I was told that it was an extra $100, no I was not but ok. So 2 more men show up. One of them has come with an attitude and the colorful language that comes out of his mouth is less than amusing. I am assuming the attitude is from the fact that this job was way bigger than they planned (again I was relying on the person on the phone to know what I need). I am not realizing this is the owner because he does not introduce himself. I gather that by what one of the movers says. First thing out of Rich the owners mouth is "You're not even ready to move! Why are we even here?" He's looking in my garage at a pile of stuff on a table, a crib with boxes, another table with odds and ends. I told him the boxes were all ready loaded in the truck and this stuff was not going. He's mumbling something about not feeling good and then he wants to see the piano and asked if I knew there was a $200 charge. What? I was just told a $100 charge. After 1 try, out comes more colorful language when it cracked their roller moving thing (Piano has wheels so would have moved by pushing it) and Rich loudly says "NO we are not moving it." The movers themselves were very nice and tried really hard to get that piano moved but Rich would not have it. (Side-note my S-I-L and 2 others moved it out of the house, LIFTED IT IN AND OUT of a pickup.) This is my first time moving out of a house for me. I'm not a pro at this and have no idea how much time or space I need. Moving itself is stressful enough and on top of that I am dealing with a husband who has young age Alzheimer's and now I have to deal with tantrums from the owner? No thank you and never again. After all that stress, he needs to refund half, if not more, of my money.

Very well, the packing was quick, the movers friendly and efficient, and absolutely no breakages or damage.

Rich showed up on time, helped take things apart, treated my items with care, and was professional and courteous. They completed the move at two locations in less than 2 hours. Even with the three hour minimum, the final cost was less than half of the three other quotes I got. Super happy with Richs Reliable Movers out of Lynnwood and will definitely use them as my go to for any future moving needs.

Hiring Rich and his crew made our move of the large, heavy items so much easier! They were careful with our items and skilled in how to move them the best way possible. Would definitely hire them again- they are highly recommended!

Rich and his crew were great! They were professional, on-time and very respectful. They handled the items with care and went the extra mile to help us with whatever we needed them to do.

Rich and his team were just wonderful! We have too much stuff and they worked so hard to make the move as easy as possible. They were all very nice people! The price was very reasonable.

I chose Rich's because of the good reviews, not just on Angie's List but also 5 stars on Google and an A+ with the BBB. I spoke with Victoria to get pricing and set things up. She is great. Very friendly and accommodating. I had to change the original date and it was no problem. I like the straightforward pricing. The hourly rate was exactly what they said it would be. There were no mileage charges or add on fees. We had three guys, including Rich for the move. They couldn't have been more professional. They are pleasant, hard working and efficient.

EXCELLENT Customer Service!!! Rich and his crew did their work with integrity, professionalism and expertise, plus they were fast and with reasonable pricing (they actually beat the pricing of most other companies I called). I was fearful of turning my possessions over to a moving company again after bad experiences I had with other companies. But my fears quickly disappeared, Rich did an amazingly great job and I highly recommend them!

Rich and his two assistants showed up right on time and immediately went to work. They were efficient and very nice to work with. They moved all of our furniture etc. from a 2000 sq ft house. Not a single dent, scratch or anything broken. I have heard some horror stories about other movers so I know this is not how it always goes. They were terrific. Also, Rich's wife did the packing for our kitchen. Once again, I have unpacked most of it and there was not a single thing broken, dented or scratched. I would hire this company again in a heartbeat.

On the day of the move, Rich and two assistants showed up promptly at 9 am. They spent six hours overall, loading up the truck, driving to the new location, and unloading. They ran very heavy furniture up three flights of stairs with never a sigh or complaint. They were happy and friendly the entire time, which made for a pleasant experience. They are the absolute best, and I can't recommend them highly enough. I would definitely call on them if I ever move again. And they came back two separate times to pick up and remove the empty packing boxes.

Victoria was the receptionist and she was awesome. The movers were like the greatest show on earth. I moved about 10 times and they are professional and fast. I could not have been happier and it was money well spent. After using them I wouldn't use another moving company.

Rich and Ryan showed up on time, worked their butts off. There were no smoke breaks, no foot dragging... they got to work and kept working until everything was moved. Rich's personability, professionalism, efficiency, and work ethic were all impressive. My wife was also impressed with Rich's communication before the move. He answered calls promptly, checked in a few days before, and called us when they were on their way.

Victoria scheduled things for us, and was very helpful when we needed to change the dates. Rich and his crew arrived on time, and were quick, efficient, and cheerful. Rich was always humming or singing, and his helpers that day often did too. Some of our items were large and awkward, and they disassembled and re-assembled them well. A few items would not go upstairs without damage, and they explained why. (Large IKEA particle board standing closets are not the most sturdily built things, and torque could rip them apart.) They relocated items when we discovered that they blocked electrical outlets, or we decided the furniture just didn't look good where we originally had them placed. We were pleased enough with their service, that we hired them a few days later to swap out the washer and dryer between the two homes.

We've used Rich's 4 or maybe 5 times now over the last year that we have been moving. It was a big job and Rich's was always up to the task with strong guys and a great attitude. It shocks me how much stuff they can pack into a truck... always more than we expected they could. And they moved odd stuff for us also... many bookcases in odd shapes (e.g. barrister bookcases, super tall bookcases), lots of collectibles that were old and valuable. They took care to make sure everything was moved safely. There was only one small problem we complained about when Rich himself wasn't there and Rich made it right. The job we had was huge and we are so glad we picked Rich's to help us. They have multiple guys working there and all were great. They were constantly moving, taking very few breaks... which is kinda what you want when you're the one paying the bill! You want quick movers but at the same time conscientious movers who aren't going to break your stuff. That's what you get with Rich's. They were also reliable in that they were always on time if not a tad early. It is well worth it to hire someone to help you do heavy moving. They have the equipment and knowledge to do things right. They have a pile of professional moving blankets they use to make sure your things aren't damaged. They are just the best! Thanks Rich and your crew for a really great experience!

Excellent. Rich and Ryan showed on time immediately started loading items into the truck and in 40 minutes we were packed and ready to go to Everett. Got to our location in Everett everything unloaded. The entire move took about 1.5 hours. Rich and Ryan were very hard workers, professional, friendly, considerate and very careful with all of the items. Would use them again in a heart beat and definetly would refer them to anyone who needs to move. Everything showed up undamaged, no scratches dents and in the original shape as when we started. A great thanks to you Rich and Ryan, you are awesome.
