Jeff and his team were amazing! They were always on time, very knowledgeable, skilled and professional, they never minded me stopping in to ask questions and they were straightforward with answers and troubleshooting. They really know what they’re doing and I’d recommend them to anyone!

We've lived in this house for over 30 years. We've had many contractors in and out for various projects. This company was one of the worst. It started out very professional and he came with a recommendation from a coworker. I saw how her kitchen turned out and she was really happy. So off we go. We had no real issues up until the installation. They had no respect for our home during the tear out. We've done a minor kitchen remodel, but nothing like this. We knew it wouldn't be pretty and had done a lot of the prep work ourselves. Hopefully thinking of everything. Moving furniture, covering as much as we could. Also being reassured by Jeff that they would also do their part. Out guest bathroom took the brunt of use, Down the hallway everybody went. Not thinking (us) of our carpet being tracked over and over with drywall and dirt I had a fit. Nothing was papered. Not the hallway, path out to garage, dining area, entry way. Our floors took a beating the first day. Nothing was cleaned up when they left. Piles of drywall, dust and garbage. We spent over a half hour cleaning it up ourselves so it wouldn't be tracked into the rest of the house. I tore into Jeff that I didn't feel he was advocating for his customers. We had tried to think of everything, but he was the professional and we were paying him and expected to be looked after. Next day what a difference. Vacuums showed up, everything was papered. Nothing but apologies. OK great lets just move on. Then his best drywall guy showed up. What a joke. My husband has done a few patch jobs on this house with not horrible results. This guy was so bad his job was like no job. I asked Jeff if this was his best who was his worst. Not productive, but I was beginning to sense a pattern. I guess he didn't like my tone and refused to come to work the next day. This ended up being a pattern. We had to meet so we all could be on the same page and he could let us know what his expectations were for us. NO JOKE! I refused and made my husband to the "meeting". The drywall gets fixed. OK lets move on. Our original sink was in play the whole discussion with Jeff from the get go. Verily new, but a over mount. Standard 33". The design team (Jeff's) came in and "get this and that". Fine. The cabinets get ordered and we (me:)) decide on a under mount sink. Same 33" standard size. Flash forward to countertops. The counter guy comes by see's the new sink and tells me it won't fit in cabinet. ??????? Low and behold we've ordered a 30" cabinet to hold a 33" sink. The crying begins. We saw the design, OK'd it so tough. Yea we saw it but again not professionals. What happened to the fact we were going to use the old sink for months? No proof. Of course Jeff never makes a mistake. NEVER. I can't say enough good thinks about Evergreen Cabinets in Everett. James was a godsend. "We'll make it work". He did! Nobody knows except us. Our expected time frame total of 4-5 weeks (documented in a email) . Beginning to end. We're entering our 4th week at this point. Looking good. We're then told the install will about 4-5 weeks out. Again????? This is customary and we have to wait our turn. We tear into Jeff for this discrepancy. It became did-did not tell us. Oh my assistant was there when I told you. Is my husband calling him a liar? This is how the owner dealt with us. Again as punishment he doesn't show up for work the next day. Thank god for good old fashioned email. I go back in the archives and find where he sent to us the 4-5 week completion time frame. Busted! There's more and more but this is enough. He was basically banned from stepping into our home ever again. We ended up half way through the project dealing with only his foreman, Tony. One little bird told us they were trying to keep Jeff strictly in the office. Not to be let out in public. Document, document and check, check, check you design. Jeff does nothing wrong and will screw you as much as possible. Just as a funny last note, the day after it was done the faucet completely fell off into the sink and my husband had to get underneath to reattach.

Description of Work: JL Remodeling helped us essentially gut our house. They tore down walls and framed new ones. They put in all new flooring, new kitchen, refinished a bathroom, refurnished a family room into a master bedroom including a brand new master bathroom and closet. | |It took about 6 months to finish and we were very happy with the work they did. Our lead, Tony, helped manage the job with care and precision. Jeff stayed in touch about budget and materials selection. Other guys from the team including Lance (the drywall master!) did great! | |You hear lots of horror stories about contractors, but we had a great experience with these guys. Any problems that arose (and they will on any job), they were able handle and take care of efficiently. We'd highly recommend them.

.When we moved into our new house there was not a place for my husband to go and hang out so we started looking into a small remodel in our basement. We wanted to add a bar. First we hit the yellowpages with little success then we started asking around and were referred to JL Remodeling. The owner himself came and gave us a very good estimate and time frame to get the work done. He even helped us with ideas to make our bar even better! He said the job should take 9 days and finished in 4!!!! We couldn't be happier with our new bar! I would definitely recommend JL Remodeling to anyone who asked!!!
