We recently purchased some office furniture from Dania, the Sparsa desk collection, which we love. Our salesman Devin did a great job and we were very happy with his customer service. He deserves an A grade! Devin stayed on top of any issues that came up along the way. However, there are some cons to our shopping at Dania, none of them have anything to do with our salesman. This rating applies to the Dania store plus the warehouse where they initially receive all the shipments before sending out to the individual stores. Initially when we first started looking for the office furniture, we called Dania in Lynnwood, because we already have a modular desk collection from them in the color white. We wanted a second collection like this. The person who answered the phone said they do not carry that color anymore, but instead have other colors available (mostly dark colored wood) in that collection. We didn't like the choices they offered as we were set on the white color. We asked if there was anything else we could get like that in white but were told no. After that, we looked at many other stores in person, and online too. It was hard to find the color and design we were looking for. We finally thought we would go to Ikea as they had something online that looked like it could work. But we didn't want to drive all the way to Ikea for a "possible" purchase, and have to face their crowds. So we took one last chance and decided to stop in at Dania to look ourselves at their office collection inventory. And low and behold we saw two office collections in the color white. These were not the same as the one we called about nor were they a "modular" collection, but they were certainly not offered as an option for us. Wow, what a waste of time looking everywhere for days when Dania had something that would have worked in the first place. We think their other salespeople or whoever answers the phone needs to get more product knowledge on the store's inventory. As far as our purchase, it went "almost" smoothly from that point on. We paid Devin for the furniture collection and were waiting for it to arrive so we could pick it up. It arrived in a timely manner. The young man in the warehouse who loaded our vehicle did a great job. Didn't even need any help. Very friendly too. Meanwhile, at home, we decide to put the collection together. Everything is perfect except the back of the file cabinet is damaged and looks like something banged into it and bashed in a 3" hole while it was being shipped. We called our salesman Devin, and he immediately ordered another one for us. Unfortunately, we would have to wait about 1 1/2 weeks to pick it up. Meanwhile, we can't use the new file cabinet because we don't want to put stuff in a cabinet that we then have to empty to return. When the file cabinet arrives, Devin calls to say that the replacement file cabinet arrived, but unfortunately when they received it, it was missing the keys to lock the drawers. Now he has to order a third one. I requested him to have the third one put together, and delivered to our house for free, and to also pick up the damaged cabinet, as this was kind of a hassle for us to deal with. Devin totally understood and was able to arrange this for us, just had to charge us tax on the shipping which was fine. The replacement cabinet finally arrived, probably another 1 1/2 weeks or so. Two delivery guys came and brought in the new (completely assembled thankfully) and took out the old. They did a great job too. Anyways, that's it. I think Dania's warehouse could check their merchandise before they send to stores to make sure it is not damaged, and also check for missing parts (keys). Other than that, we thought Devin did a great job and kept in touch with us every step of the way. We will definitely ask for him next time we go back. Oh, and we love our desk collection too.
