Up front appointments were prompt and courteous. We took advantage of the free color consultation which helped us choose colors. The two painters were always prompt & attentive - we would definitely request BJ & Tuvshin for future painting within our home. The downfall we had was getting the office staff to return our phone calls after the project was -almost- complete. The painters ended their last day just at dusk & there were areas needing to be touched up that we could not see at the walk around - we called & got answering machines / had to call several times within two days. When we did get through, the workers did come back & met our paint concerns, although the office had no further contact for confirmation. The people who set up the job should return to inspect. This is not stated, but the way the bid was first presented it sounded as though this would happen. Other companies we interviewed this would have been the case & was stated in their contracts. It is unfortunate the ratings for the company & the hired hands are combined - the painters themselves rate higher than what shows on this review.

It turned out very well and we were very happy with it. The representative that came out to do the estimate was very knowledgeable. She was able to very accurately predict the areas that might need special care. They were able to paint the door without taking it off the hinges. They got the job done in about 3 days.

They did awesome. They did great prep work and great cleanup. They scheduling was very easy with them. They got the job done in less than one week.

The whole experience was great with CertaPro. They completed the job on time and the work was top notch.

The salesman came out, took pictures, and printed an estimate complete with pictures from his car. His estimate was fair - $3200 for a 1000 sq. foot house plus detached garage. The price included free paint samples and a color consultant. He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and polite. It was a very slick presentation. I ended up going with another painter - Rojas painting - who had painted several houses in my neighborhood. Their prices were about the same as Certa-Pro and did NOT include paint samples and color consultant. I just liked his personality better. I guess I'm just not that impressed with slick presentations. I am happy with the results. However, the color consultant is a nice touch. It might have reduced the stress of picking out colors - the most difficult part of the whole experience!

The job went well. Since I had the building resided the job was like doing new construction. There was some prep work and it seemed OK. I thought the spray job was a little uneven on the back side of the building and they went back and worked on it. For my rental they did a good job. Their price was middle of the road-ish and the reviews swung me. I basically have no regrets. If this was a high end property I might take another look but for my needs I am happy. I liked the painting crew and would have no issue with them working on any of my other properties. They tried to be responsive to my concerns. They provide a color specialist to help me out with deciding on colors. I was unsure about her picks but hey, I am a color bone head. I went with her picks and they worked.

Everyone was very professional, and overall, an excellent job was done. The representative who came to the house explained everything without rushing through, and helped us understand what we needed to do to make the new paint application successful. They were knowledgeable about the colors in the brochure, and recommend some minor changes in colors which turned out better then expected. We are extremely pleased with the service, quality and price. The painters were hard workers, did an excellent job, and cleaned up afterwards, and spent time inspecting their own work prior to asking me to look everything over. it is as good or better than if I did it myself. All questions were answered thoroughly, and we were treated with respect when asking questions.

Certa-Pro even had an interior designer come by and help us coordinate our paint colors. It looked beautiful! I would highly recommend Jeff and his staff.

Paul came out to our home to understand what work we wanted done and provided a prompt estimate. He was very helpful and friendly. Once we decided to schedule the work, he also came out with the crew boss (wish I could remember his name; he was wonderful) to walk through the job and explain the work to be done. I had a color swatch painted on the wall, but not the paint I used and they were able to match it for me. The workers were able to start the next day, and I appreciate that they were very accomodating with their work hours to fit our schedule with our kids. Since we were having many areas of our home painted, they worked with us to create a plan that would impact us the least. They were completely done with the family room (and even more) the first day so that we could use that room as a base for all of our kid/daily living. The workers were very courteous and worked well. They never made me feel in the way when I was home and made sure I could get where I needed to go within our home. I appreciate how they asked where to store their tools and supplies, and how well they cleaned up at the end of each work day. They kept me up to date on the progress and plan as to what would happen next. We are very happy with the work; our home looks great! I love that they used no VOC paint. I would recommend CertaPro and plan to use them again for future painting needs. Thanks!

We decided very late in the summer that we would like to paint our exterior home sooner than later. The estimate process went great and we were provided a short list of items to be repaired prior to painting. Certapro referred me to a handy man who was able to take care of all of the items in one day for a good price. The project cost included a one hour color consultation and I LOVED THAT because picking colors by myself would have been a nightmare for me. The painting went very efficiently and quickly and looks very nice.

Jeff did a great job at communicating with us from the start. He scheduled an estimate and arrived on time. He was very professional with a CertaPro truck and polo shirt! He provided a folder of information and emailed us his estimate right away. We obtained other quotes, but decided to go with Jeff, even though he wasn't the lowest price, because he seemed the most professional and we didn't want to have to worry about close supervision throughout the entire job. After the HOA selected CertaPro, we contacted Jeff again to schedule the job. Jeff's crew was supposed to come out on Day 1 and power wash the window sill/frames, so we had all the tenants ensure their windows were closed. None of us ever heard or saw any pressure washing take place. On Day 2, his crew came out to paint the exterior areas. Upon inspection, it was obvious the pressure washing had not been done. I talked to Jeff and he assured me they would clean the sills and redo them. Sure enough, when the paint was dry, they pressure washed and hand washed where needed and redid the sills. The exterior entry overhang was supposed to be sanded then restained, and it was not initially, so they also redid that. The crew supervisor seemed to have good painting experience and understand the job and English, but his crew did NOT and they were left alone for a lot of the job. The crew was very nice and polite, but NOT at all experienced in painting and their English skills were VERY low. They didn't remove the wall lighting fixtures before painting. They got paint on some windows, which we had to point out for them to go clean off. They also got the new interior wall paint on the ceiling (which was not supposed to be painted and did not match in color) and were generally messy with the paint and didn't pay enough close attention to detail to clean it up. They also inadvertently lost a piece of the front door hinge, so the main entry to the building wouldn't close properly. Upon our inspection of the job and discovery of all these issues, we contacted Jeff. He came out with his crew supervisor at the time we scheduled. We marked all the messes and bad spots and Jeff agreed it would all be taken care of. The supervisor got to work right away fixing the issues. I spoke with him and he said he was going to call his crew back so he could help them learn from their mistakes. I appreciated that! Jeff also agreed if we got the correct ceiling paint, his crew would fix the spots on the ceiling and they would fix the door as well. Everything happened as promised, except for the door hinge which Jeff was unable to fix, so he agreed to take the cost of us having to hire someone else to fix it out of his price. We thought that was fair! Overall, we'd only recommend CertaPro if you are ready to carefully babysit the entire job from start to finish. Jeff is a good businessman and we were satisfied with the overall outcome, but disappointed that it took SO MUCH effort on our part and that the job wasn't done perfectly from the beginning.

Although there was some mis-communication during the estimate phase, it was made right by the owner of the company. The painters were hardworking and did a good job overall.

Terrible. They used painters who were not on their payroll/spoke no English. Very poor job, had to be redone. Lost parts to front entry door. Bad service, would not recommend.

Everything went just fine and we are very pleased with how our house looks. The timing was perfect with the work teams arriving as promised. We did not expect to have this project completed until Spring 2013 but we were assured there was time left within the month to get our house completed. True that! The work was done exactly per the time guidelines established. Additional questions we had were immediately answered by the office administrator: email and phone were both responded to quickly. We changed our plans several times between the bid and when the company started; this was never an apparent problem and the company issued new bids with each change. We wanted our house painted a bit differently than standard jobs (didn't want the verticals or corner boards painted) and the team checked daily to make sure that what they were doing was exactly what we wanted. This was appreciated. We will use CertaPro in the future for exterior and interior paint jobs.

Very professional approach for estimate and work plan. However, communication broke down when they showed up to power wash and it became clear they were also going to paint on that same day. They did finish the job in one day and it looks fine.

Very professional bid package. Communication wasn't as good as promised. Recieved message early in the wek saying they would paint by the end of the week, but no calls until the following week to say they would be there on Tuesday, The bid was for primer where needed, 2 coats of paint on the main part of the house, and 1 coat on the trim. 2 workers were at the house for less than 4 hours the first day, when they installed all the plastic on the windows, etc., and supposedly painted the primer and 2 coats of paint on the main part of the house. When I called them, they claim they use a "wet on wet" technique of painting, where they apply a thick coat, and that counts as 2 coats of paint. They didn't follow the manufacturer's instructions to let it dry between coats - they say the wet on wet technique is the industry standard. I requested written information from the manufacturer that this will result in as durable a finish as letting it dry inbetween thinner coats, and they haven't provided any additional information. I found information on line that said that technique should never be respresented as 2 coats of paint and emailed that information to them. They left a message and said they would come do another coat. The following morning they came back and repainted part of one side where I could still see a couple small areas of primer. Then said they didn't have time to do another coat, and just left a couple cans of paint. Overall it looks OK, but I don't have any confidence that it will last as well as 2 coats of paint applied per manufacturer's recommendations. Clean up was Ok, but later found plastic and paint chips behind bushes, and a few areas of paint on windows.

They did an excellent job. They were very prompt, accommodating, and professional.

They did a wonderful job. We were very pleased with their work. The cost was very reasonable. We would use them again. They always came on time and cleaned up after themselves. They were very thorough as well. They had to replace some eaves as well.

The painters arrived on time and went to work, moving all of the heavy furniture away from the walls and making sure everything was covred so paint would only get where it was supposed to go. The painting was done well and looks beautiful. I am amazed how they can be so precise on their edges and corners. There were a few glitches, but the owner was extremely responsive to make sure that anything that I had a concern about was taken care of immediately and done perfectly. I am extremely impressed with this company and am very glad I hired them to do the job. I am never painting again.

A nightmare.......... .Where to begin-- In May of 2011 I called Jeff and he made an appointment and came out on time...he presented very professional and seemed to be very knowledgeable and listened to my needs for painting both inside and outside, the decks and porches and newly installed interior doors and newly installed baseboards and came up with all the information needed for the bid. At the time his bid was within a few hundred dollars of the other 2 I had gotten so I went with Jeff based on reviews and his very professional mannerism.We set the start date which had to be pushed out a bit due to construction on the house and bad weather. The date the prep work started was June 27th (there was paint spray on some of the foliage..not good as the house was going on the market after the painting) and I was assured both verbally and in written form in the contract we signed that the entire required work would be completed in 3 to 5 working days. The actual completion of this nightmare finally took place at 11PM on Aug 27th 2011....two full months from start to finish. Halfway into this nightmare the crew suddenly stopped coming and I found out they went on vacation...I was stunned as they were already weeks past the time set to finish. I found paint on my newly installed vinyl and the walk through showed many things that had not been done that they had to take yet another week and a half to do...including painting my front door with the wrong paint and after painting 3 or 4 coats it was finally done right by some one from another crew at certapro and I had to stay till 11PM with heat lamps on the door till it dried so I could lock my house up. But the most disturbing thing was when my neighbor came over to talk to me a week or two before the job was finally completed ( I was weeding the yard..it was going on the market) and she told me that for 2 or 3 weeks that every night several cars and/or trucks would pull up in front of my home and 4 to 8 adults, she thought all men, would unlock the front door and go in...they would leave quite early in the morning as her husband was going to work...her son had a sleeping disorder and would watch this every night. The neighbor got partial license plate numbers and vehicle descriptions. I called the police and gave them her information and they agreed to swing by the house at night when in the area. That same day I had my front door lock changed out (the painters were the only ones at this time who had a key to my vacant house for the purpose of doing their work during the day) and when I called the foreman to ask when he was coming the next day to finish his job (this is 3rd week in Aug 2011) I told him we had changed the lock and he asked for the key.........I told him what the neighbor had told me and that I would not be giving out the key to anyone from here on out....the foreman stammered and tried to get me to give him the key for my convenience and when I refused he said he would come late that night around 11pm and I agreed to be there and then he changed his time to the next morning to 6am and I agreed to come at that time too.......he finally agreed to come at 7am. I arrived at 6:50am and the foreman did not arrived till nearly 7:45am and then seemed bored and disinterested--yawning and not having any eye contact, his crew reluctantly began working and at noon announced they were going to lunch.........THEY NEVER CAME BACK!..they even left a bunch of their equipment. I called Jeff and he later said he could not get a hold of his foreman and sent over others to finish the work .The foreman and his crew were Mexican and only the foreman spoke good English while only one other had a small ability to communicate with me and the others seem to be unable to communicate with me except to smile, so if the foreman was not there we had a problem .....and it is my belief, as well as my neighbors, that he was housing people in my house at night as when he was informed as to what the neighbors had seen and I had reported to the police they just up and disappeared without their equipment. The work was ok, but not as professional as Jeff had touted..........I believe Jeff goes up to Home Depot to get his "crews" standing on the corner.....................I say this because the second crew that came out was just two guys and one of them told me he kept telling Jeff that just because some of these guys he gets "say" they can paint does not mean they can. I complained to Service Magic about my experience and Jeff denied that it took 2 months........fortunately I saved all our emails and had proof he was well aware of how long it took. I have taken this long to post this as I can hardly stand to revisit this. CertaPro of Bothell headed by Jeff was a nightmare I would not wish on any one....please do not use these guys..I was two months late getting my house on the market and missed the entire summer and I am sure my house would have sole by Oct instead of the follow March...making two house payments the whole time..UGH! Other CertaPro individual franchises may be better. I'd rather burn my house down than do through that again.
