I wanted to post an update for this job. Jeff at CertaPro did help facilitate finally getting the job done. We had a couple of more miss steps then we requested a new crew. BJ led the new crew and he was very good, very respectful and in 2 days got the job corrected and finally completed. The job did take over 6 weeks for a job that should have taken 2-3 days. We are still very concerned about the quality of the job by the first crew, but Jeff has offered to come out in April and do a re-check which we appreciate. Jeff also offered us a $200 refund on our project for our issues, which we also appreciated. It was nice to see the owner own up to the issues of the job, and to make them right in the end. I do believe this is a good company, and we just got a bad crew to start with, as I believe sub-contractors actually do the work. I have modified our review to show these efforts to make use happy with the job. I believe had BJ done the job first, we would have had no problems. They still get a D overall, but in the end and A for the effort to make it right
Description of Work: Hired these guys to do a partial exterior painting of our house. They were the most expensive but had great reviews on Angie's list, so we went with them. This started on October 23. Rob the sales man came out, we set up the job, then it immediately went down hill from there. We were scheduled to have it painted a few days later on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, only after I pressured for a date. By end of day Friday, no call no show, I called and was told Monday, Tuesday , Wednesday. Again no call no show. My wife had taken the day off to be there. We called and demand they give us schedule, and they said they would get someone out the next day to power wash. Again no call no show. We called, excuse, excuse, someone will be there later today. at 5pm they showed up to pressure wash. They did, but had to keep the pressure on to make sure the job moved forward. It was explained to me that they were running 20 jobs at once, which made me feel like out job was not big enough so we were on the back burner, and would get to us when they could fit it in. Then when it came to paining, after they had already pressure washed the paint off our back deck railing, I got a call saying we were only quoted the railing up the stairs, not the entire deck. What? they has already pressure washed the paint off it, but we would they would be nice enough to get a quote for it. No way I said, it was what I wanted, what Rob has promised, paint it. OK Jeff, another boss said they would paint it, but not after a guilt trip. Felt like in the middle of the job they were going to stiff arm us for more money. They finally came out and painted. Next day I noticed they had painted over the white trim with tan paint, I figured they just weren't done so I called to schedule them to finish it. I got a return call that said they were done, and wanted payment. I said, What? the trim is not painted. Stephanie said What? I asked did anyone actually review the work. So a few day later they came out to paint the trim. Then we noticed for whatever reason they painted the railing a different color then the house? I called again, excuse, excuse, somehow it was my fault that happened because they had only bout 1 color of paint? What? I said fix it. She said they would call when and let us know when they would be out. No call but on a random Tuesday, a very wet day, they just showed up, no call, repainted the railing to match the house. But it rained on it and blistered it....So one month later the job is still not done. WOW!! Wish we would have picked one of the other companies who gave us a schedule and said it would be done within 1 week in a three day period. Our mistake. They obviously had to many jobs on there plate and poor management of every aspect of the process. I have not even listed all the miss steps, that would take all day, I have know idea how they have such good reviews. Hopefully the job will someday be finished. It really sucks to hear so many excuses and more then once, to be made to feel that somehow it is your fault they screwed up. I gave them a million chances, but they do not deserve a good review. Choose someone else. I listed quality as N/A because the job is not yet finished
