Overall the work was done well.  I think they have a good system but there were a few issues with execution and communication in my experience with them.
The crew that came to do the work was lacked the same customer-service focus shown by the reps who quoted the job.  The quoting rep Ben was responsive to the situation.  

The problem occurred when the crew showed up 2 hours early to my house with no notice or call. In fact, the dispatch/head office was also not aware of his early arrival when I called them.  As a consequence the customer quality pledge with requests about where to park, etc was not followed.  Additionally, I was told that the crew supervisor would do a 10 minute review with me before starting work yet he didn't even engage with me at all, even after I went outside and stood there with him.  He basically ignored me and just handed me a folder - when I had made arrangements to be home to meet them!
Luckily, after Ben talked to him in response to my complaints, he reviewed the work better as the job was completed.

I also need to add that I was disappointed that I had to wait 10 days and I had to call multiple times to get scheduled for the touch up work that needed to be completed  - so they did come back and touch up at no charge but again showed poor communication/response in my opinion.

I would consider using them again but I would probably try to request a different crew.
Mgmt/quoting team was great, responsive, courteous, punctual, friendly, and showed a great plan.  They just need the crews to execute in the same manner and it would be much better.

UPDATE TO COMPANY'S RESPONSE: OK, I was going to remove this post per the subtle and nice request by the office manager..... But based on the Company's response to my review and not taking full accountability online just because of one bad review is unacceptable.  WHY WOULD I LIE ABOUT THIS?  I have nothing to gain but dirty looks from my neighbors thinking I hired underage kids to paint my house. I am going to ask my neighbors to see if they have the pictures they took of the kids on my house painting.  Maybe that will change the Company's response and take responsibility for this unfortunate event.


Sales and administrative teams were very nice to work with and very responsive. Unfortunately during the day of the job I get a text from my neighbors of kids being on my roof painting! This was completely unacceptable especially if one of them fell and injured themselves. I reported this to office since the "painters" missed several areas on the house and was completely in shock which makes me think that it's true what the online reviews state that Certapro hires 3rd party painters not employees of the company.

Too many things to list, but this was the worst experience ever.

I was overwhelmed and every time I would look at the trim in my house I would feel this sinking feeling and think... "I'll get around to it.."
A couple of weeks ago, trim painting made its way to the top of my priority list!
After my great experience with Jeff and Certapro in the past, calling them for this was a no brainer!
This was my second time working with Jeff! My experience this time was even better than the last!! He worked with my schedule and was very conscientious about my time! He is very thorough and made sure that I was happy with the result!
What a relief to have another thing marked off the to do list with no hassle!

The sales person that came out was friendly and informative, and provided an estimate right on the spot.  The office staff was a great help in selecting colors and helping me with all of the scheduling details.  When the painters came out they were clean and neat and very accomadating.  The house looks great, and I could not be happier!!

Since we were prepping to put the house on the market, Rob came out to give us an estimate within one day. The painters showed up a couple days after that and completed the job in two days. We made a last minute change to the work order which was graciously accommodated by CertaPro. We couldn't be happier with the results and the timely way the work was completed.

Painters were Hispanic and did not speak English well which hampered our daily feedback.

Painters were in a hurry to finish and were not focused on doing an excellent job. I believe that they painted two coats of paint on the walls as promised but I also believe that they put on the second coat very quickly in order to finish the job quickly. Upon inspection of their work, we found paint drips on the siding, areas of the soffit which were not covered well, as well as other issues. These were addressed when we alerted the painters but the issues were of the scale and type as to indicate sloppy workmanship.

Walls and trim that have a rough surface were not covered with enough paint so that today (March 2015) the areas stand out as needing more paint. Again it feels like the painters rushed the job and didn't really cover the surfaces well. They used rollers and back brushed but apparently the amount of paint applied wasn't always sufficient for the surface.

They were punctual and quick to respond.  They were pretty professional and we’re happy about the job.

I wanted to post an update for this job. Jeff at CertaPro did help facilitate finally getting the job done. We had a couple of more miss steps then we requested a new crew. BJ led the new crew and he was very good, very respectful and in 2 days got the job corrected and finally completed. The job did take over 6 weeks for a job that should have taken 2-3 days. We are still very concerned about the quality of the job by the first crew, but Jeff has offered to come out in April and do a re-check which we appreciate. Jeff also offered us a $200 refund on our project for our issues, which we also appreciated. It was nice to see the owner own up to the issues of the job, and to make them right in the end. I do believe this is a good company, and we just got a bad crew to start with, as I believe sub-contractors actually do the work. I have modified our review to show these efforts to make use happy with the job. I believe had BJ done the job first, we would have had no problems. They still get a D overall, but in the end and A for the effort to make it right

It turned out great. I would say that it was pretty good to work with them. I like the way that they did the job. You know exactly what you're getting before they came out.

We could not have been happier with the exterior paint project performed by CertaPro. The job was completed in just two days and the quality was excellent. All of the painters were very professional and helpful. Without any hesitation, I would recommend this crew to anyone looking to repaint their home.

CertaPro came in the lower of my 2 bids, provided a free color consultation.  The painters were prompt, courteous and very fast.  They did a very good job, cleaned up after themselves.  Very happy with the job.

Excellent experience!  Scheduled an estimate online and Rob was on time for the appointment and very helpful.  The paint team came out the week prior to pressure wash the house.  On the first day of the job, the team came about 30 minutes early and worked all day.  I think they took about a 20 minute lunch break.  Neatly stacked all equipment in the spot we agreed upon at the end of the work day.  Same thing next day, crew showed up early to work and worked hard all day.  They were very professional and listened to everything I had to say.  When I saw a small spot that needed touch up, they immediately fixed it.  Never had a house painted before, but these guys put my mind at ease.  Fantastic job and the house looks great.  Thanks Rob, Stephanie, Paco, and the rest of the team.

I had my home painted by Jeff and his crew! I could not be more pleased! Jeff was patient with me and walked me through all of my choices.  He has a color consultant available, however I didn't use her. He was thorough and followed up to make sure I was happy throughout the process! Sam (the foreman) and his crew made quick work of my large home and were respectful of my time. They were meticulous! The price that I was quoted was close to or exactly what I was quoted by other reputable paint companies, however I chose Jeff for his willingness to work with me and his attention to detail.  I fully endorse Jeff and his crew!
