I emailed to request the quote with no reply. Mr. Boley did finally email me and said he was waiting for word from me about whether I wanted a quote. I responded back that I was cancelling my request for a quote and moved on to other quotes.

After getting three bids for changing our entire house from knob and tube to updated electrical wiring, we knew we wanted to go with Boley Electric. While the bids were similar in price, overall Leonard had the absolute "best vibe". And our intuition was right-- he is a fair, honest businessman who did exactly what we wanted, never pressured us to do anything else, let us know of options to save money along the way (but not cut corners). He made sure it was done right, the first time. He was also very good to his employee, who did the majority of the work, for example Leonard himself stayed to meet with the county inspector when the inspector was running extremely late, so his employee could catch the ferry home for the weekend to be with his family-- not something you see from every boss. And Leonard was very actively involved in the entire rewiring process. Everything was done as agreed upon in terms of time frame and price; we couldn't be happier. We've had a decent amount of work done on our house since we bought it, and we wish every person we worked with was a honest, upfront, and true as Leonard Boley and his crew.
