It was really good. The furnace service is like $150 which they will do next week. I will absolutely recommend them.

We worked with Matt at Ballard Natural Gas and he was a professional from start to finish. We received several quotes for this conversion and Ballard was competitive but we decided to go with them because we could get a more efficient furnace (96%) than other companies were offering for a lower price. The project manager served as a single point of contact for every detail including setting up dates, arranging workers, clean up, working with the gas company, hauling away old items, teaching us how all of the equipment works and submitting rebates. We had a complicated fireplace install and even when there were slight issues they stayed positive and ensured us they would find a solution at no cost to us. They were able to hire a specialist to cut the brick surround and kept me apprised of the progress. The fireplace is beautiful and everything works exactly as expected. I highly recommend Ballard Natural Gas as this is the type of project you only do once so it is great to have a company who walks you through it and provides prompt service.

They also did duct lines which was required and they were very timely. They did a good job. We had a little miscommunication and they resolved it and when we had a problem they came out and took care of it so it was professionalism and good service.

I've been using Ballard for several years and the seem to do a decent job, but nothing that seems "excellent" as many reviews here. At the end of each service, they have condescendingly tried to scare my wife into thinking all our appliances need to be replaced...that started 4 years ago. They seem to have to check in w the head office at the end of each call to make sure the tech has tried to sell you more. All in all, a turnoff and I'll be looking for alternatives next time.

The salesman was professional and not overly pushy. The team that installed it did a great job--the work site was kept clean and everything went smoothly. The tech that taught us how to use the system was friendly and knowledgeable. There was one small issue that they responded to and fixed very quickly. Overall I am very satisfied and would use them again.

The BNG technician was on time, cleaned up after himself, and was polite. I like that BNG techs wear shoe covers when they come in my house and never smell like cigarette smoke or strong cologne. They tend to suggest pricey upgrades but take no for an answer. They are willing and able to explain what they are doing and why.

Went well. They recommended a few upgrades that we may do (they give a discount if you do the work with them).

We were trying to determine the right kind of heating/cooling system for our craftsman house to replace our existing baseboards. There wasn't room to run ducting from the basement to the mainfloor and of all the companies we talked to, Ballard Natural Gas was the only one who really was willing to be creative to come up with a solution that would work for us and took into account all of our concerns. They were patient in iterating with us as we made a decision and honored a manufacturer discount, even though it had expired by the time we placed the order. They quickly addressed the post installation questions and concerns I had. The only problem we had in the install was them cutting into our wood floors for the air return in a location other than the one we agreed on. They volunteered to pay to have our flooring company do the repair and were very responsive in providing a temporary repair. We couldn't be happier with the product they recommended and the service they provided. We had a frequent house guest over last night who commented it was the first time she hasn't felt cold in our house, and during last week's rare Seattle heat wave, it was the first time we weren't roasting hot in our house during hot weather. I would fully recommend their work.

AMAZING! After 10 years of heat and cooling not balanced within my house - after a very bad experience with another HVAC company who had me servicing a bad a/c compressor without telling me the manufacturer had basically recalled it - it was a blessing to find such a great team of professionals who knew what they were doing! My house is now a perfect 70 degrees upstairs and downstairs!! Am looking forward to a perfectly cool summer :) Thank you all at Ballard Natural Gas - highly recommend to all!

Furnace operates properly at this time.

He found a small leak in the furnace that was installed in November, and this issue will be resolved tomorrow.

Cleaned three natural gas fireplaces to eliminate dust. Also replaced some of the embers and sand. Did feel like the cost was high. They needed to come back but did so at no cost which I thought was fair.

The Service technician, Matt Ahrens showed up on time, freindly and courteous. I explained everything that was going on with the furnace, with no b.s. he got right to work. based on what i saw from a previous and less qualified tech from matshuka, Matt broke out his multimeter, reviewed all voltages at the suspected culprits, was able to pin point with accuracy the location of the fault and correct the problem. I am a new home owner and had a plethora of questions for him. He took the time to explain how my furnace worked, and instructed me on things to watch out for. Of the things he discovered and I am in debt to him, an improperly hooked up gas fire place that had a gas line running over open flame. I was blown away by how good this guy is. Ballard heating is an amazing business.

Cleaned and checked my furnace. Though they canceled service on me twice and were late the repair gal was great. The owner has poor costumer service skills that need to be worked on.

Overall, the whole process went smoothly: Matt came to the house to evaluate our system requirements and explain the various options for furnaces. We then met with him and Neil to determine the best location for the relocated furnace, and we worked with them to coordinate the necessary asbestos removal. Jay did most of the furnace and duct installation and it was completed on schedule despite cold temperatures and snow on the last day. A few days later Matt came by to help us balance the system and program the thermostat. The quality and craftsmanship of the installation is impressive and the new furnace is working very well so far.

We called Ballard natural Gas Service because our furnace was dead and the folks who most recently serviced it had an answering machine message saying they were too swamped and were unavailable. Kathleen asked a couple question and walked us through a very simple fix to defrost the water in the condenser hose with a blow dryer. This was fantastic customer service and saved us potential several days of shivering while waiting for someone to make time to come inspect it and tell us the same thing she did on the phone.

They guy from Ballard did a thorough job checking out my house and putting together a good furnace package. I ended up not going with them because of timing, but I was impressed and wanted to give them a good review anyway.

Great service. They were very responsive and were able to come out the day I called. It cost $98 to diagnose the problem, and $59 to re-lite the pilot. (plus tax). Because the tank was still under warranty, Issac suggested that I have it replaced. Whirpool manufactured it, and said they needed to speak to the service man before they would replace it. Phil (who set up the appointment) contacted Issac after hours and handled it. Phil also called me back to make sure everything went okay. When I said that I did not know anyone who can take the tank back to Lowe's for a replacement, he suggested a couple places to see whether they would be able to do the work. They could not. The pilot went out last night. I found someone that will trade it out for $350! A total costly repair-replacement! BUT, I am thankful for Ballard Natural Gas, for being truly professional, reasonable, and quick!

It was a Saturday in November and we woke up with no heat. Our fish tanks, our dogs, and our chilly selves were very unhappy. Andy the furnace guy showed up by 2PM and fixed us up within an hour. We were very happy.

They had excellent customer service. They followed up well with the questions I had and they removed some of our old chimney at no additional charge. I felt like I was in good hands.

We scheduled with Ballard Natural Gas Services to have our air ducts cleaned in the house we were preparing to rent to someone. Things did not go well (1) Appt. was for 2PM and they arrived at the soon to be rental about 11:30... Left a message that we picked up about 12:30. (2) Scrambled to meet them at the house early only to have them say they couldn't do the work because it was an updraft furnace and 90% efficiency so it would clog ...unless they cut a bypass in a vent in the crawl space....(3) they didn't seem interested in doing that so they didn't do anything. Their scheduling dept. should probably ask more questions about the type and brand of furnace we had. They were also the most expensive of any we looked into. Punctuality would be an "A" if you were someone that was always at home but when you schedule a time because you have to leave work (& loose pay) then being 2 1/2hrs early is not good. The sad part is Ballard installed the furnace and fire insert in the home we live in and we have a contract for our home and were looking to put the rental on contract. Kind of rethinking that idea.

We called Ballard Natural Gas after they had performed some service for us previously. They came out for a diagnostic visit after the furnace wouldn't start up for the first time of the season. The technician clearly showed that the inducer motor wasn't behaving right and the pressure switch was also not working properly. He was pretty clear that there could be other issues after they got the inducer working again. He said he'd get the parts ordered and another technician would be scheduled. Three days later of no heat, I called to check on the status of the parts and they hadn't been ordered! They said they would need to call me back with a price on the parts after the office had a chance to talk to the technician that did the diagnosis. They called back that day and quoted the pressure switch at $200 and $760! A quick search of what range the parts cost told me they were charging at least 100% markup. I didn't have the time to do any shopping around, but already had a bad taste in my mouth. Another week later with no call from Ballard Natural Gas (and still no heat), so I followed up again. They claimed that the parts were on order, but taking an irregularly long period of time. Finally after 3 weeks of no heat, the parts came in and the appointment was scheduled. Everything went well with the new parts, but the technician pointed out that not all the burners were firing and suggested that he perform a normal maintenance since I hadn't known when the last time it had be performed. I agreed and everything was working by the time the technician was done. He did suggest that the ignitor be replaced, but after seeing another highly inflated price I passed. Overall, the technicians were timely, competent and professional. The rest of the experience was terrible. If you're going to charge ridiculous prices for parts, I would expect they show up a little more timely than a full two weeks or at least a single bit of communication while we were out of heat for a full month.

Ballard staff was very responsive and friendly. They stood by their bid in spite of bumps along the road with our electrical panel.

Ballard Natural Gas wanted to charge us over $1000 to replace the motor on our furnace and was trying to pressure us into replacing the furnace When we looked at the cost of the part, it was only $280. When I asked BNG about this, they refused to budge so went with a competitor who was willing to do the job for $400 less. It really felt like they were trying to rip us off. I would not recommend them.
