They were very responsive and friendly and made it very easy to get an interest-free loan and all the government rebates. They did not give a hard sell but seemed genuinely interested in getting us whatever system would work best for our house and family. The installation went well and we are overall pleased with the system. One year after the 2013 installation, they came to do our annual maintenance and basically broke the system. For 2 weeks we had no functioning system, which was frustrating because it happened to be during a heat wave. Some part had broken, and it was unavailable, on backorder seemingly indefinitely. They solicited a review but noted that they'd rather hear directly about any problems than finding out through a review. So after 2 weeks, I got tired of waiting and wrote a complaint to their customer service manager, Christina. She was very interested in resolving the issue and went to great lengths to research why that part was unavailable and to get it overnighted so we could have it installed ASAP. She sent the repair manager to assess the situation and together they resolved the problem in only a couple of days. She also refunded me over $600 for the bumbled repair, parts, and upcoming service as well. It's hard to avoid things going wrong sometimes, but I was pleased that this company did show they cared about customer satisfaction and was able to resolve our issue and compensate us for the inconvenience. Frankly it would have been a bigger headache to find a second company to service this thing, so I'm glad they managed to keep us as customers. Our heating bills are lower, we have a quieter, more effective system, and we also got AC in the process, so we are happy. It also turned out that the buried oil tank in the front yard had been leaking into the ground, so we did 2 good things for the environment - stop using oil and stop leaking into the ground near Thornton Creek.

Once the repair man arrived he did a fine job.

On time, called when 10 minutes on his way and was courteous. Used shoe covers to protect carpet and focused on work at hand. Efficient!

I have been a client of this company for over twenty years and have always received excellent service.

They were good. The only thing is that they wanted me to sign up for their yearly maintenance and I did but it kind of caught me off guard. I was expecting to have about $300 bill that day and I ended up spending $900. I then changed my mind and called them the next day and told them that I felt pressured and I didn’t want the maintenance. They mailed me back the refund for that. It was too much money and they kind of talked me into it. The gas fireplace cleaning wasn’t scheduled and I asked if he could clean that and he took the time to do it. I felt that was nice. He did that even though it was a last minute request. It was a bit of work to clean the glass and it looked real good, real nice when it was done. The only thing I didn’t like was the pressure by the maintenance plan.

Furnace guy came - replaced a bunch of things - only downside was a lot of clean up after he left. But, overall, fabulous.

There was a problem, and sometimes that happens but what doesn't often happen is the excellent and timely response to that problem. Cristina, the service manager, went above and beyond to ensure we were completely satisfied with the service - and we are. I highly recommend this company as people who take pride in their work and will do what it takes to get the job done correctly.

they got a hard to find part (valve), then returned when stopped working twice to realize control box also needed replacing and never charged for any of the return visits or parts. just took care of it. totally professional and excellent service. stood by their job and i would totally recommend this local company to any one. INTEGRITY means something.

Isaac was on time, pleasant and informative, knows furnaces. I am very pleased with this company, everyone seems very pleasant and efficient.

Service was prompt - came out the morning I reported my furnace not working. Technician arrived on time and quickly diagnosed problem and repaired it on same trip. All costs were clearly communicated up front. Since gas furnace and hot water tank had not been serviced in many years, asked to have those services performed as well. All the work was done professionally. The only minor complaint about work was that there was a bit of debris cleanup to be done after they left. The only warning is to be prepared for sales pitch for additional services - but no hard sell.

It went well. They were prompt. The staff was professional. They left the area clean.

They were awesome! My old furnace needed several repairs that made it more practical to just buy a new furnace. The tech came the same day and was at my house for almost 3 hours assessing my heat needs, heat loss, areas that needed more heat, etc. His review was so comprehensive. He sat down with me for a half hour explaining the different types of furnaces and costs and didn't pressure me to choose any particular option. Another furnace company just came and gave me a brochure without even looking at my house. The next day he followed up to see if I had any questions. I didn't at the time, but I called back that afternoon and spoke with a woman (the owner, I think) and she was super helpful. She answered all my questions. The furnace was installed a week later. They offered to bring me space heaters in the meantime, which I didn't need. The installer was nice, clean and kept to himself. The job was done very professionally. A tech came out to walk through the system with me and answer questions. I couldn't believe how "hands on" they were and how much time they spent making sure I was happy. I have been using them for servicing for years as well. I'll definitely keep using them.

They spent the whole time trying to upsell me. I think they overcharged by about double. I had to wait and wait and wait for them, hours beyond their latest target time. They were a bit rude on the phone too. It was not good. The work was done but I'd never use them again.

Ballard was recommended by one of my neighbors so I contacted them and several other HVAC companies. Ballard Natural gas did a great job of replacing our Old Oil Furnace with a All electric Solution - A Electric Heatpump & Air handler. Pete took the time to explain all the pros and cons and offered multiple options. They even suggested going through CPW- Community Power Works - which is a an amazing service from Seattle City light where they come in and do a thorough analysis of the house to suggest a solution. Pete & Niel came in to go over the setup which will work for me. Even though CPW suggested going all electric & Pete & Neil Suggested All electric, I was quite skeptical cause I thought that nothing can compare to GAS or OIL heat. I have a GAS hookup but still decided to take the advise from Ballard & CPW. After a month of using the new system - I must say that I am impressed. It is amazing to see such a quite system working all electric and giving me the same (If not better comfort) from the Oil heater. Thanks to Pete for being extra patient while I was bombarding him with 10s of questions. The job was very well done by Matt and he took care in ensuring that he gave me maximum space by changing and customizing the venting. Great job! Pros Very patient and knowledgeable sales staff. I didn't use them as they could not justify their significantly higher prices. Business must be pretty good for them to take such a high cost approach to bidding.

$100 for the service call, another charge to diagnose, and then quite a considerable markup for a very basic thermostat. Have used Ballard Gas before, and probably will use them again. An A+ on service, but a D- on price.

It worked out really well. They're more expensive than the people I had before. I would say they're good. They do try to upsell the service contracts. They're very expensive so I didn't buy one. I generally don't use them. I think it's better to pay as you go.

While they did not stock the part I needed, they contacted me anyway and pointed me towards someone who does. They didn't need to and I greatly appreciated it.

They were punctual and came when they said they would; that is important in the construction industry. They were the least expensive of all the options I had.

They were fine and I thought they did a good job. I was happy with them. What stands out is their thoroughness. They gave me a discount because I have seen them before.

The part they replaced was covered under warranty. We had two companies come out and give us quotes and we liked Matt of this company who came out and looked at everything. They were professional with the sales office and straightforward. With the actual work that was done we had some concerns about how it was done, but on the whole they did a good job and we were happy with each facet of the work. Their cost seemed reasonable and competitive. They were very responsive.

This was the first time I used them. They were prompt, professional and cleaned up after themselves. It was done properly. I felt that they did a good job overall. We looked at other places and their price was comparable.

Checked water pressure for tankless system Ballard had installed and referred to a plumber. Matthew spent a considerable amount of explaining the furnace that we purchased from and is serviced by them, providing clear and valuable information at no cost.
