Description of Work: Ballard Natural Gas did a routine service inspection on my gas fireplace which was working fine but had never been checked out since it was installed 14 years ago. As it turned out, everything was functioning within factory specs, so the visit only took about half an hour, but my fireplace is very clean and I am assured that it is working properly and safely.

Description of Work: Since 2008, Ballard Natural Gas has kept us warm, and our furnace operating efficiently. They were the lowest bid on a Trane furnace, and over the years, they've replace duct work, maintained the furnace, cleaned the ducts, and solved a problem with a thermostat. From the person who first answers the phone to the technician who makes the service call, each one is personable and competent. |

Description of Work: Had a ductless heatpump installed in an upstairs room that had no heat or a/c. BNG was the cheapest price by a few hundred, It is installed and working great. My husband is an electrician and they were great working with him so we could save a little money. We are very happy. It was on time and everyone involved I would recommend. Two comments why I did not give them a perfect score, every other contractor included "permits" I asked BNG about the permits and they told me yes they were included. But we never saw copies of them or saw an inspector come out. This might be how they were able to have a cheaper bid. Also they had a couple of cleaning issues that I wanted to share with them but I have had trouble with the follow up visit. One was the room where the installation took place plaster dust is all over the floor behind a piece of furniture that they installed the device above and my husband left some sawdust in their workspace outside which they swept up (very nice) but then left in front of the fan so that the the fan pulled it into the motor which seems very destructive and a bad choice of a place to leave the dust.

Description of Work: Came to inspect why the gas furnace wasn't responding. There was a switch that needed attention - it was resolved immediately. They did recommend performing additional services - we did not follow through.

Description of Work: Josh provided estimate and Sam installed new Lennox gas furnace and Honeywell thermostat and removed old furnace and thermostat.

Description of Work: I had two new gas fireplaces installed in my home, and they had a lot of work to do to connect the gas lines. They also recommended an earthquake valve that will shut off all of the gas to my home in the event of an earthquake, which was a great idea, and gives me peace of mind in case of such an emergency, and well worth the extra money! It went very smoothly, and easily. They did a great job!

Description of Work: They installed new inside gas lines, two furnaces, two thermostats, a new hear register and a tankless hot water heater in a house with no previous gas service. They worked hard over several days and I was very pleased with their work. Their bid was almost the same as another bid I got, so I feel it was a fair deal.

Description of Work: They put in a heat pump, and the new thermostat, etc. that went with it. In person, every person I dealt with was pleasant, however, they provided services through a special program for energy conservation with a low-interest loan, and that's where it all went haywire. They didn't really understand their role, the reporting requirements, or the deadlines; said they had taken care of things they hadn't and it ended up being VERY aggravating, time-consuming, and stressful. Furthermore, they said negative things about our contractor and the people involved in the energy-conservation program, which I thought was unprofessional. It took a lot of work to get them to understand the issues and come through, but they finally did. At which point they said the program had changed and they hadn't ever done it this way before. Would have been nice if they had just been up front about that before, rather than telling us different things at different times, etc.

Description of Work: They installed new gas lines across our house to 2 new gas fireplaces, as well as installation of a new gas furnace. All installations went as planned. I'm happy with the work.
