Description of Work: Overall a good job for sure. We are happy with the heat pump they installed utilizing our existing ductwork. Only problem was they installed the thermostat on a wall we told them not to as likely future demolition, and then they never fixed it like they promised.

Scheduling is always a breeze, with highly courteous and professional employees from receptionist to technicians. They have repaired our system in the past, and do a great job keeping me abreast of the system,

Description of Work: Ballard Natural Gas informed me that they no longer worked on my furnace, although they had worked on the identical furnace for my neighbor just a few days before. Instead they referred me to some guy who would never return my phone calls.

Description of Work: The work performed by Ballard Natural Gas Service was fine, but they have a "boutique" set up that costs more. People there want payment a year in advance for yearly maintenance, which will give you priority service if you have a problem. People who work for them also try to get you to pay for additions, which may or not be needed. There's a strong sales push to spend more money with them.

Description of Work: Our furnace stopped without warning in December. Angie's list gave them a super rating, so we called and they were here the same morning. The furnace was dead and they replaced it with in 2 days. Very professional, friendly, instructive, and answered all our questions. Even though we have another furnace for another part of the house, they prioritized us and got the job done. We didn't have time to compare prices, but their work and responsiveness was terrific. |

Description of Work: Ballard Natural Gas installed a new, high efficiency, natural gas furnace in our home on Queen Anne. Their initial bid was the lowest of five, but revisions in both the scope of work and the equipment caused it to increase to the high middle range. On the plus side, the company has a "no change order" policy which means that the agreed upon price is the final price. This proved valuable to us, as they failed to notice a duct run to the bathroom, an error they corrected at no additional charge. All the workers on the job were friendly and seemed well skilled. However, the company's internal communications seemed flawed, and it was necessary for us to make more than one call to have all our problems finally resolved, hence the B grade rather than an A.
