Once Ben from Bales Restoration arrived to inspect the crawl space situation that we had been dealing with for months, and during the Pandemic, we were profoundly relived! Ben immediately put us at ease and lined up all of the important services to be performed!. He put our house on “life support” that same day as we were in a toxic environment, and continued to communicate what steps will be taken along the way, start to finish. Ben and team were outstanding in every aspect of this process, and it was not an easy task to take on, as two companies had failed to resolve before them. Very pleased with the outcome! We just moved to our dream lake house, and three months later our entire basement was full of water. We called Bales as they have an exceptional reputation, and are a local company. I am so grateful for their immediate sense of urgency, and the care they took to protect our personal items. I credit this amazing crew with the fact that all furniture was protected from water damage. The Bales team arrived within hours of my initial call, they had all the new equipment used for drying walls, preventing mold, and controlling humidity. Fantastic, Ben was prompt and completed a very thorough job inspecting our home for mold and a moisture drive issue we had been looking for. He answered all our questions regarding what we should do for a viable fix and helped us make the proper decision. Without Ben's knowledge and expertise in this case we would be lost. Bales was very professional and thorough. They put down floor protection everywhere they worked, including on polished concrete floors that might not have really needed it. They made sure that negative air containment was in place for every work area to prevent any mold spores from becoming airborne. They were also very careful not to damage anything that didn't need to be demolished. They were also very patient with my frustrating insurance company. When the scope of required work expanded beyond their expertise to include exterior demolition and exterior repairs, they were able to refer me to a good general contractor that took on those aspects of the work. I really hope I never need water mitigation services again, but if I do I will be calling Bales.

Bales was great! They were thorough and professional and explained every step of their process, they did an excellent job of removing all contaminated materials, disinfecting everything, and cleaning up after themselves, and then they dealt directly with my insurance company to cover their charges! I cannot recommend Bales highly enough. I am especially appreciative of how kindly and knowledgably Chris Schmid, the Bales representative who managed my damage restoration, communicated with me. Incredibly quick response within the hour since it was an emergency. Very kind and reassuring walking us through all the steps. Was great that their system is so effective that NO drywall had to be removed and the dryers and cleaners used were all pet friendly. Moved all furniture and left everything as spic and span as they could. I couldn't have been more satisfied especially in an emergency situation.

The Bales Restoration team brought the necessary expertise and equipment without delay, treated the residents courteously and sensitively, and quickly brought the situation under control. They were highly professional in working with both the owners and the association leadership. If restoration needs develop in the future, which in a large condo complex is likely to occur, we will call Bales as the first step in the restoration process.

Will at Bales was wonderful. When discussing him coming to look at the issue, he called me back when he said he would and provided the information I needed. He showed up at the agreed upon time and was great to work with. He explained what he was doing and looking for and prepared us for the worst case each step along the way - lucky for us, we had the best case scenario all the way around! He was very careful in what he did, making our repairs easy!

We were very happy with the Bales crew, their expertise, and the final results. After a thorough inspection looking for where the water had traveled, a very detailed bid was drawn up and presented to us. This also included a very complete explanation of what would be done to dry the wallboard, framing, and carpet and which equipment would be used. (We had removed the wet padding as soon as we discovered the water leak.) We were told that the final cost could go up or down a bit, depending on the total drying time. In the end, the final cost went down because the water damage was dried out in two days, and the bid was for 3 days. Small holes were drilled at the bottom of the wet wallboard in the garage and a series of air blower tubes were installed. Additional blowers were set up in the garage cubby, and also positioned in the basement so that air was blown over and under the carpet which had become wet. A dehumidifier was set up in the basement and another one in the garage. An air- scrubber was set up in the garage to capture particulates blown around from the blowers. After 48 hours, Bales came out to check on the drying progress. Everything was dried to the technician's satisfaction and he removed all the equipment. We were very happy with Bales restoration, from start to finish. We would not hesitate to hire them again. It was a very stressful situation, and we felt that we were in very competent hands all along the way.

They were great. They came right away and sealed the area off. They dried the area and I am happy with their service.

The bid process provided a detailed perspective of the damage and a detailed plan for the repair work, drying process and costs. The clean-up job took 6 days to complete and the employees were prompt and professional. The team removed the drywall, wet moldy carpet and other compromised materials, setup the drying equipment and dehumidifiers in a reasonable amount of time. The workers returned at the scheduled date and time to inspect the job and determine if it was completely dry. More time was required to complete the drying and the team brought in some additional heat equipment to finish the job. They returned two days later to remove the equipment and clean-up. The team did a great job on all fronts and I recommend them based on their work quality and work ethic.

Bales Cleaning & Restoration was recommended to me by several carpet cleaning companies that I found on Angie's List that no longer worked with water damaged and/or mold on carpets. I gave them a call and had one of their technicians, Chris Schmid, out the following day. He was prompt, courteous and very helpful in showing me the extent of the water damage as part of my problem was that the water seeped into places I hadn't thought to look on the other side of a wall (thus it sat there for a week). Chris contacted me later in the day to apologize that he wouldn't be able to get me the estimate until the next morning; however, I would still be able to get on that day's schedule if I approved the work estimate. Unfortunately, it turns out that I had inadvertently raised our home insurance deductible during the last renewal period which would leave me paying for the remediation and repair out of pocket. Due to the cost, I decided to make the removal and repairs myself since I'm reasonably handy when necessary. However, if I find myself needing significant water damage cleaning and restoration in the future I will definitely be calling Bales first!

They were very prompt and they gave an estimate. They took everything away and they sealed off the room. They did an excellent job. They were very good.

I am truly so impressed with this company, I would not call anyone else.

As horrible as the experience was, I cannot give enough praise to Bales, especially Will who was in charge of the crew that handled my job. Coming home to find 3/4" of standing water in your house is absolutely not a fun experience. They were extremely communicative throughout the entire process, telling me what they were doing, asking me questions, and keeping me informed. They were as unobtrusive as they possibly could have been, considering that they had to take over the entire downstairs. There's absolutely no smell left over either from their equipment or from the water damage itself. They were very conscientious of carefully moving what they needed to move, and cleaning up after themselves. I'm extremely glad that they were the ones to come out and take care of that part of fixing up this mess.

They came out and started the clean-up and are still in the process. They've been courteous, kind, patient and professional. This company is VERY respectful. I highly recommend this company.

Our hot water heater valve failed during the night, so we woke to about 50 gallons of water in our finished basement. We initially called another company (also recommended by Angie's List), but they didn't have anyone available immediately so they recommended Bale's. Bale's was able to send a team over within 2 hours. They looked through everything, took humidity readings throughout the basement area (and found water under cabinets and floor areas that we wouldn't have thought to look in), and within an hour was able to give us a bid for immediate remediation. As noted above, they estimate the restoration separately so you can save money and do that yourself if you want to. Ben was our project lead, and stayed on our project that whole week, and then also worked on the restoration. He was extremely professional and comprehensive, and so were the assistants he brought with them. During the estimate process Ben explained everything thoroughly offering me a couple of options. The bid was reasonable, so we okayed and they immediately started to work. They setup the equipment immediately, then took me back down and explained what they'd done, they also left me with a packet of information on flooding and told me how the process would work and approximately how long it would take. He also took pictures of the damage, and their instrument readings. He came back mid-week (it started on a Monday) to check on things and move equipment around, and then they came back on Friday to check and remove the equipment since everything was dry. They were able to save everything - our cabinets, carpet, papers - the only thing we had to replace was some carpet padding. At the end they gave us a packet with the photos and a detailing of what they did for our insurance company, as well as a final estimate on what the restoration would cost. We had them come back the next month to do the restoration, they had notes on everything they did - so they were able to put everything back exactly as it was before. They re-stretched the carpet, put in new padding, reattached all the floorboards, retouched the paint where it had been damaged. You name it, everything they changed, they put back exactly the way it was before. Now, you'd never know the area had been completely flooded. I highly recommend them.

First of all, the Bales team was terrific. They were all professionals in every way. They were punctual, pleasant to deal with, and knew what they were doing at every step of the way. They diagnosed the problem correctly and proceeded quickly to mitigate the water damage before resealing and solving the problem. Would definitely hire them again. Ben Givens was especially great. He did not like the result of his first attempt at sealing the shower floor (tile) and re-cleaned and did it over again on his own. Love that kind of pride in work.
