From the start, Reception- very pleasant, set up a time that worked. Estimator- Mark, took a look, gave a price, let us know of some PSE rebates that lowered our bill. Actual Work - Showed up on time, did the work requested, found some issues in the crawl space and fixed them (no additional charge) I no longer have that "basement" smell and I wish I had done this much sooner. I believe their minimum charge is $500.00 but with the rebates the actual amount that I paid was $412.00. It was so much better than many experiences that I have had in re: to service calls that this story does not even convey how happy I am with service from American Crawlspace!

These guys were great. I can’t say enough about how thorough they were and how absolutely professional they were. They were just constantly professionals throughout the whole process. They were really a good crew. Everything is looking great. It was all part of the major kitchen, bedroom and living room remodel that I was having done. I took up some box in the lighting in the kitchen in the part of ceiling and that was when I discovered couple of dead bodies up there. Then I called the insulation people who were gracious about getting out promptly and getting stuff removed and getting everything sealed up there. After the dry wall work was done in the kitchen and the ceiling was closed back up, they came back and reinstalled the insulation. So it was a two step process for them. It was about a 10days or week about in between removal when they needed to come back install. There was no problem in getting them back when I needed them. They were very very gracious about working with us on time frame and everything. I have heard people telling about general remodeling people that it was six weeks project but it turned out to be a three months project but we had no problems with any of that. Everything just went right by the numbers. I have no heartburn of anything that was done and the insulation people were fantastic. Their pricing was right on line as I had checked with some of the others. They really had been a back bridge for us. I would call them back in the future in a heart beat.

They quoted us $ 2000 for the service. The overall experience was great and good. Their responsiveness was good. The guy who came out was good. The price was fairer. Their bid was within 5% of another bid. I decided to do the work myself.

They are excellent, they did an excellent job and I couldn't recommend them high enough. I liked their creativity, call back response and quality of work. They were thorough.

My husband and I met with Mark, we were very impressed with his professionalism and friendly manner. He was very patient and explained what we needed to do not only to fix the current problem, but to exclude the entry points the rats were using to gain entry. I thought for all they did, and for the amount of materials they used ( My house is a little over 3000 sf), I thought the price was very reasonable. They took care of the rebate paperwork from my utility company, and took that rebate right off the price upfront which we really appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

They arrived on time and completed the work in a timely manner. My crawl space had not been cleaned for over 20 years. They came and removed all the debris, old insulation, inspected for evidence of rodents (none!) and then installed a vapor barrier and new insulation. They returned to double check the work and to change out the screens in the vents for smaller ones in order to prevent rodents from entry. They did a good job and I would use them again.

We had a good experience with this company. The owner Mark came out to give us an estimate. He told us about rebates available and didn't try and sell us on any unneeded additions to the job. He was punctual, efficient, and helpful. The company managed to fit us in faster than expected and we were very grateful for that. The actual crew came on time and didn't leave a lot of mess. Overall we had a good experience with this company and we would use them again.

Everything went very well. We had one days notice of their arrival which was fine. The four person crew arrived on time, explained in detail what they were going to do and asked if there were any questions or other factors they should be aware of before starting. They put down plastic sheeting on the first floor to protect the flooring during bringing the materials in and out. They installed the insulation and a new carbon monoxide detector (required as part of the Puget Sound Energy rebate program and supplied free of charge) and had completed the job in four hours from arrival. They cleaned up all the removed insulation and vapor barrier sheeting plus their floor covering and left the house clean and tidy. I went down into the crawlspace before they left for a quick look around. It appeared to be complete and well done. They went through the paperwork that they would be submitting to Puget Sound Energy explaining what items they had done and which ones they had not (those relating to attic insulation).

Arrived on time, worked hard, and were unobtrusive but friendly. The job lead was especially considerate and made sure I understood the work they were doing.

As I stated above, this was the best anyone could ask for. They completed every aspect of the task and more. An additional note, the Duck re-insulation is covered by a PSE rebate program. American Crawl Space handles all of this for you, all you pay is the difference between what PSE pays and the actual costs. Now that is service!!

Mark Lee and his crew were professional, personable, punctual and worked hard. They even found where the rats and mice had been comming in and screened off the hole at no extra charge. I looked all over that crawlspace and could never find the opening. I also liked the fact that they used wood lath to support the insulation rather than string, which tends to streach and sag.

Angie's list does not have a separate category for "crawlspace cleanout". I priced 5 companies, they were best price. Crew was very good, fast, efficient, and pleasant. We did have a mixup about scheduling (it could have been my fault), result was they were one day early, which was good, and not a complaint!

When I called to request an estimate they responded to an urgent need (from me) and rearranged their schedule to accomodate me. Their estimate was lower than 3 other companies who had made a bid - the other companies were higher by a range of $300-$700 for the exact same work. Since these guys were on the PUD list, I figured going with the lowest estimate would be fine since the Snohomish PUD would be doing an in-process inspection and a final - so their work would have to be good enough to pass those inspections. The guys showed up on time - even called me when they were on the way. They went straight to work and did a great job. The PUD guy was happy with their work and so were we.

They did a great job and I have referred others to them.
