Service person was polite. I think the cost was too high so I did not select them.

Good estimator. Polite and efficient installers. Good phone and email responses.

Excellent. Two men arrived about 8:15 a.m. and worked all day to approximately 6:30 p.m. They worked strictly then without no lunch break.

Have not had work done at this time, will definitely call them when the attic is ready.

Thaddeus came out and was very polite and punctual. He did an excellent inspection and answered all my questions with patience to help me understand things I did not. He offered Angie discount and also helped me get funding through PUD which offered $1000 rebate. He was available to answer any other questions I had at all times. Only once I got the office and they had him call me back immediately. He was very knowledgeable. His office continued to call to set up an appointment and I was sorry to tell them I could not afford it at this time but they were very understanding. It is a family owned business and took pride in their work. When I am able to they will be the first ones I call. I would give them an overall A.

I want to thank Crew Leader Manny, along with Juan, and Feliepe for doing a great job. They were professional, clean, and paid attention to detail. Everything looked great.

They were excellent. Their value is very good. They did a lot of work for the payment I gave them. All their employees are excellent, they work very hard. Their representatives were exceedingly good in explaining to us. They were just overall great and easy to deal with.

Appreciated the excellent communication skills on the part of the inspector/estimator. He was able to give me a firm estimate immediately and new exactly how to direct me to and through the process of obtaining incentive money available through PUD. Estimates were accurate to the dollar. Everything that was completed was then inspected and approved by the PUD. This double inspection process provided some additional assurance that the work was performed according to plan. Everything was done on schedule as I was told it would be.

Great--Renee was the first I talked with and she scheduled Thaddeus to come out for an estimate. The cost ended up being exactly what he said, though some extra work needed to be done that wasn't discovered until the installation phase. Extra parts needed to be delivered and they were there quickly so the job ended up not taking much more time than origianally predicted. Francisco and a couple others did the clean out and installation and they were courteous and very professional and also cleaned out our garage thoroughly when they were done.

The estimator (Thad) gave me a good estimate (noting rebates) and broke down the estimates as I requested for each particular job. I was pleased with his work. I scheduled them to come on the morning of November 12th to get the job done. On the morning of the 8th a crew woke me up to start work. I was pretty unhappy about this (I could only have this done on certain days and this day was definitely not an option), and I told them return on the scheduled day (the 12th). Approximately 20 minutes later, the crew returned and asked if they could do the work anyway since they are already had the people and equipment assembled. (again, no). I called the company and expressed my displeasure about this. I was told that for some reason they put me down for the 8th rather than the 12th. My appointment was reconfirmed for the 12th without any further problems. The crew showed up on the 12th and operated professionally the whole time. The jobs was done proffessionally, on time, and as advertised. The crew did a good job in a lousy environment (I know, Ive been down there a lot). I consider the scheduling error and return of the crew on the 8th unproffesional and disruptive, however aside from that, the company did a good job and I would recommend them to others

I called American and was given an appointment within a couple of days. Thaddeus came out precisely on time to inspect the crawlspace and give me an estimate. He gave me an estimate which included (supposedly) a $400 PSE Rebate PLUS a 10% Angie's list discount. The total after these discounts came out just slightly more than an estimate I had received a few days earlier which did not include a $400 rebate. I was also told that I had an issue with moisture ants and dampwood termites. And, surprise, they also own a Pest Services which would sign me right up for an initial treatment and recurring services. I did not have them do the insullation. Instead, I called the company that had given me the earlier estimate and asked them to match American's estimate which was not a huge difference but I had no trust in American because I did not believe that their estimate trully included a $400 PSE rebate because the total after discount matched so closely the previous estimate that I had received. Thaddeus was very polite and professional and seemingly did a thourough inspection of the crawlspace and the outdoor area. I was simply not at all confident in the veracity of the application of discounts to the estimate. Because of this lack of confidence in them, I was also suspicious of the identification of pests as the pest services to which I was referred are really the same company. However, it's not easy to get a free pest inspection so I went ahead with them for pest services because it was not a huge amount and I decided not to take any chances. I did not have them do the insulation.

After receiving bids from a few contractors I contacted American Crawlspace. The estimator arrived on time and it quickly became apparent that he was by far the most knowledgable that I spoken with. He calculated attic ventilation (something no other contractor had done) and explained the importance of maintaining proper air flow. Upon receiving a very competitive bid, we made the appointment with the very efficient, friendly office staff and the work was set to fit our schedule. At the time we made the appointment the bid was reviewed completely to make certain the all work needed would be completed. The crew arrived on time and went over the work order prior to starting the job. Once they started they made certain all affected areas were properly covered to avoid dust or debris damage. They worked quickly and efficiently for most of the day to complete a significant amount of work. They cleaned all areas before leaving and again reviewed the work order to be sure I was completely satisfied. The thing that stands out most with this company is the crew that arrived to complete the work. They were professional and courteous. Beyond that each of them worked with a positive and pleasant attitude that you'd not expect to find when someone is involved in this type of work. Great Folks! I'd not hesitate to recommend or call them again.

I actually found American Crawlspace Cleanouts through Angie's List and they were fantastic. They were great and did a really good job. I wasn't completely thrilled with their cleanup. They did a pretty good cleanup but it wasn't perfect. It was a really minor thing, but the work they did was really great. They were fast and they were efficient. I was very pleased with the project.

My rating is not all A's across the board and here's why: the crew that came out to remove the old insulation were pretty noisy and heavy in my attic. For approximately 3 hours, there was banging and tossing around of the planks they walked on. They didn't step lightly or carefully, at least not from how it sounded in the house. Luckily, my home is older and the construction up in the ceiling is 2x12 solid cedar so there wasn't any damage done. But, it was disconcerting to hear them up there moving around in what sounded like a careless fashion. I did expect the large vacuum noise, and that's not what I'm complaining about. My electricians were up there subsequently and I could barely tell they were there for the couple days they spent doing the re-wiring. So, it can be done--people can be in your attic and be careful and quiet while they work.

I hired this company twice. First to install insulation around my ductwork in my crawlspace, and about 9 months later to install insulation in the ceiling of my crawlspace. Their estimates were right in the ballpark with everyone else's estimates, but American Crawlspace delivered their estimates very professionally, unlike some of the others that I didn't hire. The sales guy explained everything very clearly and in a friendly way. He didn't talk down to me even though I'm female and obviously didn't know anything about insulation. He made recommendations but was not pushy. Generally, he talked with me as if he was a friend and I could trust him. We hired them for the first job - ductwork insulation - and this was inspected by Snohomish PUD. No problems were found. The PUD guy told me they did a good job and he is a very quality-oriented person. Plus PUD picked up half the cost of the insulation through their energy program so they require quality workmanship before they pay their portion. I hired them a second time to install insulation on the ceiling of the crawl space and a new vapor barrier. They gave me an estimate in February which was supposed to be good only for 30 days. But when I called them in September (9 months later) and told them I was finally ready to have the work done they honored the same estimate. The guys were great - they even moved everything out of the crawl space for me because they showed up early before I had a chance to do it. They put everything out on a tarp and stacked it all very neatly. Once again their insulation work was excellent. This was not a fun job - they had to remove old insulation first before installing the new stuff and they cleaned up every speck of the mess. The same PUD guy came and inspected the ceiling insulation installation and vapor barrier and once again was happy with the work. I would happily recommend this contractor.

The representative came out to give us an estimate. He was clean, represented himself and the company well, was articulate and clear about the work to be done, gave us a detailed estimate, and told us someone from the office would be calling to schedule the appointment. They did by the end of the day, scheduling it for 1-1/2 weeks out. The workers arrived on time, and got started right away. They were able to work on their own without disrupting my routine or responsibilities at home. They were polite, considerate, and did a great job, VERY efficiently. For the most part, they cleaned up after themselves, left just a slight amount of trace that they had been there, but that was negligible. I have been so pleased with the water temperature that comes out of my faucets now, with the insulation of the pipes. I am so grateful we did this. Well worth the investment, giving us peace of mind. I would definitely recommend American Crawlspace Cleanouts to anyone desiring insulation services.

The owner came out and gave me a bid that was very close to another company that insulates and pest proofs crawlspaces. I wish that I had gone with the other company. Mark Lee's crew showed up on time and began installing a different insulation type without discussing it with me. I was impressed with the loose and sloppy tie up job of the insulation. The crew lead ignored my request to do the job with more care. Pipes that may need access in the future are hidden uder insulation rather than wrapped Twice a crew member spit infront of me in a really gross way. At least there was only 15 minutes of post job clean up required where Insulation was caught on the house siding. Having had this crawlspace insulated years ago, I know the job could have been well for virtually the same price.

AMERICAN CRAWLSPACE CLEANOUTS - Insulation American Crawlspace Cleanouts, extremely timely, most affordable, very clean and quick. They were great!

They completed the job in about 6 hours (one of the other companies quoted me three days). When they were finished, they had me inspect the work , and it was very neat and clean. A very good job.

They did a great job ensuring our house was clean and that they weren't tracking anything inside from the outdoors. This is particularly noteworthy since it was pouring rain at the time. The crawlspace looked immaculate and they even repaired some of the vapour barrier which wasn't part of the quote. Attic also looked great and they made sure to show me both before the job was finished. Would definately recommend.

They were very good. They came back and did one repair after that. I am happy with them. I rate them high overall.
