SWANSON BARK & WOOD PRODUCTS INC

I called to get a quote for some wood chips the weekend before delivery. The woman that took my order was polite and helpful in answering my questions about the type of product I should use, cost, and delivery. In shopping around, the price, including delivery was comparable to other places I looked at. I ended up ordering from Swanson because I had already spoken to someone there. As I was ordering 5 yards of wood chips, I was hoping to get it dumped in my backyard (I've had yards of crushed rock delivered and dumped in my backyard in the past). As such, I asked about the size of the truck and whether or not the driver would work with me on where it could be delivered. The answer was that it would be a truck the size of those small school buses you see. I asked to be called before the delivery and the driver did call on the day. While speaking to the driver, I described my backyard and again asked about the size of the truck. His response was, "we'll see," and looking back, I think he was skeptical. We did try to back it up and we almost made it (primarily because my backyard is very accessible). I was told by the driver that there was a smaller truck that they typically use for small deliveries such as mine. It had broken it's windshield and so, was unavailable. To get A's, I would've liked to had the opportunity to reschedule the delivery until the smaller truck was available.

I called to get an estimate on blowing bark-dust in our yard. The receptionist said they could only give estimates over the phone. Since I'm not in this business, I wasn't able to to tell her how much we might need. She was fairly terse with me and didn't seem like they wanted my business.

Product delivered as promised. Salesperson and driver were friendly and courteous.

Disappointed that delivery charge nearly doubled from original quote

THIS COMPANY CAME OUT AND DELIVERED ROCK TO MY HOUSE. IT WAS LAID IN MY DRIVEWAY FOR RE GRAVEL IT. THEY ARE A PLEASANT COMPANY AND VERY WELL KNOW AS HAVING GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IN OUR LOCAL AREA.

CALLED COMPANY AND THEY WERE ABLE TO DELIVER NEXT DAY 2 YARDS OF BARK TO OUR HOUSE. THEY WERE REASONABLE AND VERY PROFESSIONAL, ESPECIALLY SINCE WE LIVE SO FAR OUT.

EXCELLENT COMPANY TO DEAL WITH EMPLOYEES VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, COURTEOUS, HELPFUL AND RESPECTFUL OF YOUR WISHES. OVERALL, A VERY GOOD ATTITUDE TOWARD THEIR CUSTOMERS.

THIS COMPANY WAS VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. THEY WERE PROMPT WITH DELIVERY, AND ABLE TO POUR THE ROCK EXACTLY WERE WE NEEDED IT. THE PRICE WAS EXACTLY WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS EXCELLENT AS USUAL. I HAVE USED SWANSON BEFORE AND WAS VERY PLEASED. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ALWAYS ON TIME. I WOULDN'T USE ANYONE ELSE.

IT WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE OVERALL. I REALLY LIKE THE END RESULT. THEIR MATERIALS ARE OF A GOOD QUALITY AND WILL LAST A LONG, LONG TIME. THEY DID A GOOD JOB.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. I HEARD ABOUT HOW GOOD THEY WERE FROM MY DAY CARE PROVIDER. THAT'S WHY I WENT WITH THEM. THEY DID A GREAT JOB. MY LANDSCAPING HAS NEVER LOOKED SO GOOD.

THE EMPLOYEES WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND GREAT TO WORK WITH. THEY ASKED A LOT OF QUESTIONS TO GET US THE RIGHT PRODUCTS. THEY TOOK THEIR TIME TO HELP US FIND THE RIGHT MIX OF PRODUCTS TO MAKE OUR HOME LOOK TERRIFIC.

REALLY NEAT TO DEAL WITH. TOLD THEM WHAT I NEEDED. EXPECTED TO HAVE IT DUMPED. THEY CAME OUT USED A BLOWER TO APPLY IT TO THE AREAS I WANTED IT IN. DONE IN LESS THAN AN HOUR, WHAT WOULD HAVE TAKE ME A HALF A DAY.

THEY WERE SUPER. I CALLED AND GOT MY DIRT DELIVERED ON THE VERY SAME DAY. THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP DUMP THE DIRT IN THE RIGHT PLACES AND GAVE ME ADDITIONAL HELPFUL HINTS ON LAYING SOD.

THEY HAD A GOOD VARIETY OF PRODUCT, BUT THERE WERE NOT ENOUGH EMPLOYEES ON DUTY. I HAD TO WAIT FOR ASSISTANCE IN GETTING THE PRODUCT INTO THE BACK OF MY TRUCK.

THEY WERE GREAT! THE WERE VERY HELPFUL AND VERY KIND. THEY COVERED ALL OF OUR OPTIONS AND HELPED US DECIDE. THEY WERE VERY AFFORDABLE COMPARED TO OTHERS WE CONSULTED WITH.

THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCELLENT! SOME OF THE BEST SERVICE I'VE EVER GOTTEN. THEY DELIVERED THE BARK & ROCK AT THE TIME I SPECIFIED. NOW OUR YARD LOOKS WONDERFUL!

WENT ONSITE TO DETERMINE PRODUCT AVAILABILITY. HELPFUL STAFF TO ASSIST AND DETERMINE BEST PRODUCTS FOR NEEDS. QUICK DELIVERY OF PRODUCTS.

WE BACKED UP AND THEY LOADED IT UP FOR US. THIS COMPANY WAS VERY FRIENDLY. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

GREAT JOB, FAST AND NEAT. EASY TO WORK WITH. THESE PEOPLE WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE SURE THAT WE WERE SATISFIED AND GOT THE RIGHT TYPE OF PRODUCT FOR OUT SITUATION.

WE WOULD WORK WITH SWANSON'S AGAIN IN A SECOND. THEY HAVE A HUGE VARIETY OF LANDSCAPING PRODUCTS. THE HARDEST PART ABOUT WORKING WITH THEM, WAS CHOOSING WHAT TYPE OF SOIL TO USE. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL WITH RECOMMENDATIONS.

WE REALLY LIKE THE SERVICES OF THIS COMPANY. WE HAVE USED THEM ON MANY OCCASIONS. THE SOIL WAS SIFTED AND IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. IT WAS NOT RIVER BOTTOM, FULL OF WEEDS & STUFF, LIKE WHAT WE GOT FROM ANOTHER COMPANY.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH SWANSON BARK AND WOOD WAS GREAT. I CALLED THEM, AND THEY GOT ME THE TOPSOIL THAT SAME DAY. I PLAN TO USE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.
