Champs Tree Service

Description of Work: Not sure how much use this will be or how accurate the appraisal of service. I was desperate to get help in removing a tree branch that had broken badly but not fallen and was hanging right over the public sidewalk - too high up to reach. Champs came out to give an estimate and when they could do it. I was left hanging (no pun intended) as to when he would come although it turned out to be only a few hours. When he came he said he couldn't do it until the weekend and insisted it would not fall before then. I did not believe him as to the falling part but with no other options I agreed to wait on him. I asked him to get back to me with a date & time rather than just sometime this weekend. No call back and I again called them a day later to get the same vague response as to appointed time. After anxiously watching that limb for 1 1/2 days and no further activity, I reluctantly left home for a day of much needed errands. When I got back the front yard was a complete mess from the left-overs of the branches coming down on their own. I have my neighbors to thank for taking away the mess. My poor evaluation "stems" not with his unknown abilities, but with the abysmal lack of response to my needs and his poor judgment on the condition of the tree. I could easily have been responsible for damage to property (parked cars) and/or persons if that branch had come down on an unsuspecting jogger or baby stroller. It was an emergency not a routine job to be put off until someone had the leisure time to deal with it.

Description of Work: Minor pruning of a 100+ ft cedar tree where it was touching my house and three branches of an alder tree over my driveway. Removal of a small dead evergreennear the street. |They did a very professional job of leaving the cedar looking natural instead of being hacked off on one side. They left my property cleaned of any debris from their work and also of leaves, twigs, etc. that were already there.
