+ -1 moreIf I could give Less than an F grade, I would. DO NOT HIRE ALMGREN CONSTRUCTION. I hired Almgren Construction (owned by John and Crystal Almgren) to build my deck. Communication was very poor and defensive when I asked nail lines to be straight and nail gun to be set the same so countersink of holes would be even (they are not and some are so deep I have to fill them with wood putty!). Work was subpar. After paying them $16,000, I also had to pay a $2,500 lien because Almgren did not pay the supplier for the materials I paid to them. The Almgrens owe me $2,513.31 and they do not respond to calls or written requests.

+ -1 moreWe hired Almgren Construction to re-side our house after meeting John at his booth at the Everett Home Show. His quoted price was lower than others we had received, and he took time to personally assure us of the quality of his work. The crew was friendly, helpful and on time. In several instances they took "extra steps" to make the finished product look professional. We would gladly recommend this company to our friends.

+ -1 moreNon paid time taken off they failed to show for my appontment, after calling and providing date/time the appointment was set they sent someone out. The person who was there was very nice, however 3 calls and 19 days later no bid, I was told they would call me when sent though they indicated the bid was ready. After an owner/family member reached to their office manager 20 days later I got a few sentence reply stating 20k + tax not including plumbing or electrical. No descritpion of work, no division of labor, etc. very unprofessional.
Description of Work: Needed a bathroom remodel, tile floor, walls, toilet, no tub/shower, pedestal sink, 7 doors in house replaced small area siding done on shop. They quoted 20k+ tax not including plumbing or electrical. The next highest bid was just under 10k.

We have been happy with the communication, flexibility and the family friendly demeanor. They are locally owned which enables them to give personal service and consistently oversee the work being done. I would highly recommend Almgren Construction to anyone looking for a competitively priced, reliable and experienced Contractor.
