Sunrise Landscaping & Tree Removal

Very professional and prompt!

Sunrise is fantastic! James came out and gave me an estimate and over-saw the work. He was prompt, listened and even sent me photos of the progress as I live in Oregon and could only be there for the estimate and first day of work. The crew was wonderful...prompt, friendly, adjusted plans as needed. The price was fair and I'm very pleased with the overall result. I can now go up camping and not have to worry about weed-whacking just to set up a table and chairs.

It took three days. The first day was all erosion prep in control. The second day was dirt prep and the leveling. The third day I was short and to the point with sod installation. All members of staff were courteous and kind. The head guy in charge even took a couple of calls from me when I was concerned about potential issues, he explained things and all turned out beautiful!!!!!

The service was great. James came out to give me an estimate and after getting a few others I decided to go with them. I'm very glad I did! They put me on the schedule right away and were able to come take the tree down with no problems. They called the day before coming out to make sure that everything was in order. They said they'd be here by 8:30 to start the work and showed up at 8:15, which was even better. They explained everything and then went right to work and had the tree down by 11 with the stump ground down too. They were very courteous and professional and did a great job making sure that the road and surrounding houses were safe from falling logs. The cleanup was also spectacular and they were sure to clean up my neighbor's driveway as well as the road itself. Everything went very smoothly and was professional from start to finish. I would definitely hire them again if I needed more tree work done.

Went very well!! The owner, Heath Hoverton (not sure of spelling) made sure the scheduling and demolition including tree removal was handled by his experienced foreman and masonry work crew. They worked diligently with great care and superior masonry/craftsmanship. Very friendly and professional in their behavior towards us and always made sure we had access to our home. The brick work is astounding with artistic rounds and pathways using colored brick and soldiers path lining and micro gravel for some of the walkways. Extremely artistic with two arbors, giant rock boulder water feature with Seahawks colors gazing on the water and excellent walls and pathways.

They came out but they never gave a bid or an estimate. The office was a little cranky when I called back in to receive the estimate. I got in contact with the original person that came and he said would provide the estimate and he never did.

Arrived early in the morning, finished in just a few hours, patio looks good. Everyone likes it. They even filled in a hole the dog had dug by the house. Only problem was, it was supposed to be installed 2 weeks earlier, and no one showed up or called that day. Other than that, it went fine and I'm real happy with it.

met with owner and he was very up front about cost and quality/capabilities of his service team..Congenial but loose with his words not onot good with their follow throughver offensive but lacking character in speaking. The team came on the day agreed and finished the task in about 3 hours. Although they did not complete the job as agreed upon-- they were suppiosed to spray a compound that would kill all the vegetation and keep it from coming back.. Also, they have yet to come back to discuss grading the site, leveling the site and design of the back yard for use...They seem like a good company but....not reliable with their follow through..

The workers arrived on time, clean and neat and ready to work. Their tasks were to assist me in finishing my patio and assemble a pergola. Both worked very well supervised and unsupervised. I'm very pleased with the workmanship they performed.

The top soil that they used was full of rocks. The seed never did take. The lawn looks like crap. I had to call them back to finish the pruning as it was not done the way we had agreed on in the beginning. It took 3 phone calls and a visit to the office to finally get someone to show up to finish the pruning.

Very pleasant experience and love the results. Working with Randall, the landscape architect was inspirational and enjoyable. He listened well and understood our vision. Very professional crew as well. Extremely pleased with the results, especially since this was a high ticket item for our budget. Highly recommended.

So far good, however next week they will install the landscape so the rating could change.

My yard was pretty overgrown and now it looks great. Weeding, edging, mowing made a big difference. Love it!

Sunrise was great to work with. Ryan was responsive and easy to get in touch with for questions. They were prompt and showed up on time for date of service. Had all trees removed and the site cleaned up within 4 hours. The stump grinding happened the next day - and again, they were prompt and professional. I am very happy with the work that they performed, and even happier that Sunrise was the lowest quote (I got four estimates for the job).

Conscientious and asked for approval of work before leaving site. (See above) Performed selective clearing where asked to keep plants that were desirable.

Overall Sunrise did an awesome job. They do high quality work. They are not the cheapest but they are definately the highest quality for the price. Our project manager was always available and responsive. At the same time they started this project, the City of Fircrest was doing their new sewer lines in the alley. Sunrise had to coordinate with the city, on top of everything else, to get this project done. Yes, there were delays - but they weren't due to poor project management. Sometimes they were unable to gain access to the alley because of the construction. And there were weather delays too. There was an issue with the garage door header pour - probably due to the weather rather than any other reason. These things do happen. It was a concrete sub-contrator that they used - not Sunrise. However, our project manager was on top of it, as was the engineer on the project. They made sure it all got taken care of and repaired without us having to worry about a thing. The overages on the project were discussed well in advance - some were due to us changing what we wanted (a different gate and location on the fence) and some couldn't be foreseen (there was no footing on the old retaining wall). Again, everything was communicated. Yes, it was frustrating at times having to deal with delays or increase in cost, but in the end we are very pleased with the finished project. We are planning on using them again to complete the pavers in the yard and a few other things.

We feel everything went well. There were a couple of hic-ups with the Design Review Committee in Jubilee, but Heath was there and resolved the situation in a timely and professional manner and to our satisfaction. There is not a person who comes by our home who doesn't compliment us on how beautiful the yard looks. Designed for low maintenance, it is simple and beautiful.

Heath is a man of boundless energy juggling many projects at one time, but he always had time to listen and discuss options. Very "down to earth" company...huge team of workers! One day, as we got towards completion, there were 12 men working, in harmony, creating a sitting wall. My neighbor was so impressed with the quality of the work that she has asked Sunrise to do her backyard. I look forward to working with Heath and Sunrise Landscape in the spring with changes/upgrades to my front yard.

We worked with Heath for several weeks developing a plan that would fit our small yard and small budget. He was always willing to redo ideas and came over several times as we fine-tuned the finished yard. We had seen his work in some of the neighboring yards and felt comfortable that he would deliver what was discussed. His pricing may not be the lowest but his product is definitely high quality and his customer service is the best.

I recommend Sunrise Landscaping in Olympia to anyone who appreciates quality workmanship, fair pricing and excellent customer service! Everyone at Sunrise from the office manager to my landscape designer/bidder, to the crew who executed the job were all professional and a pleasure to work with. From the first meeting at my home through the follow-up visit after the job was completed, I was impressed with the expertise and friendly service provided. Having the opportunity to go by their office and sit down with a professional designer, look at photographs, and discuss the possibilities for my garden helped me to make an informed decision about what was best for my lifestyle and budget. My yard looks fantastic, better than I could have imagined. I will enjoy my new landscape with friends and family for years to come!
