Mr. Electric of Olympia

Our original date for work to be done was rescheduled by Mr. Electric for two weeks later. Once the two electricians arrived, we were very pleased with the work they did. They were efficient and did everything we needed doing and more. They were courteous and took the time to explain what they were doing. They left the folders of info for each item. They wore booties over their shoes and cleaned up very well. We were very pleased and would hire them again.

Great experience. The crew was in and out in one day. Coordinated with the city. Nice job. Good guys.

The technicians were prompt and did a good job. It took them 1/2 hour to diagnose and make the required repair. I obtained a $20 coupon from, Heath, the owner's Mr. Electric website to use toward payment of the invoice. The invoiced amount before tax was $195; $212.63 with tax. I gave the technician a check for $212.63 but forgot to give him the $20 off coupon. The technician did not leave me my copy of the invoice when he left my home at about 2:30pm. At about 3:00PM the same day, I personally delivered the $20 off coupon to the Lacey Mr. Electric office. The next day, 9/28/17, I called the Lacey office and asked what the status of my $20 off coupon was. Heath got on the phone and said it would not be honored because I did not present it at the time of service. However, within a reasonable time (1/2 hour) after the service was performed, Heath had the coupon. The hardcopy coupon did not specify it must be presented at time of service, only that the offer ended October 6, 2017. A reasonable, customer oriented business owner would have honored the $20 off coupon given the facts. Not only did Heath fail to honor the $20 off coupon, he refused to give me my copy of the invoice. Very arrogant, unprofessional owner actions. To summarize, my recommendation not to use Heath's Mr. Electric Lacey location, the facts are as follows: 1. The $195 is a very high price for a service call. I polled several electricians in Lacey describing the service performed. The average pretax charge was about $125; Heath was $70 more expensive! 2. Heath refused to honor the $20 off coupon that was delivered to his place of business in a reasonable time frame. 3. Heath refused to provide me with my copy of the invoice documenting the price for the work done. I live in a large retirement community. I will make sure I inform as many residents as I can not to use Heath's Mr. Electric. Other Mr. Electric locations may be ok, but not the Lacey location. The Mr. Electric website advertises they are Angie's List Super Service Award winners since 2013. The Lacey location of Mr. Electric is not on Angie's List; other locations are. There clearly is a reason for that, as I described above

It was ok, but a waste of money too. He didn't really inspect the house like I thought and just gave us general safety tips like get smoke detectors.... common sense and not helppful.

The people doing this work were very nice and professional however I thought the price was a little high on the ceiling fan and the price quoted did not include the sales tax and the fee charged for pse and permit was also high

The worker called me at 12:30 to tell me he was going to be "a little late" for my one o'clock appointment. I told him no problem because things don't always go as planned. He finally showed up around 2:45 pm (I don't consider an hour and 45 minutes "a little late.") No apology or explanation when he came to the door although he apologized before he left. He was in quite a hurry to get through what he was supposed to do at my house. I asked him to check one outlet and he told me he only had to do readily accessible outlets before I could show him that my piano rolled out of the way to make the outlet readily accessible. I asked him to double check an outlet that was not working for me. He said he had and his tool showed it was working. I said "No it doesn't because my lamp won't light." Then he told me it was the lamp and he didn't need to do anything else because it wasn't on his list of things to check. He finally checked it and it had power but the plate was too loose, so he tightened it up in about 5 seconds. I did not feel that they were interested in me as a future customer. They just wanted to do a ten minute job for $39.00. I was disappointed as I've used Mr Electric in the past and been happy with their service. As we got to the end of the list, the service person started being nicer and asked me if I was happy now. I said I was .

I called several times and I wasn't able to set up an appointment ever. My offer expired and I was never able to use it. It didn't go well at all.

was pleased with the electrical work that was done and they completed an unexpected job that surfaced during the visit. They were punctual and worked steadily and efficiently and I feel the price was fair. However, I do feel they weren't as professional as I had expected. For example, they put heavy tools down on the countertop with laying down a protective towel, they didn't caulk around a new outdoor outlet even though they cut the opening too big and left a gap, and they damaged some drywall. Also, there was noticeable friction between the journeyman electrician and the apprentice which made me uncomfortable. If I hired them again I would clarify during the bid process what details I expected to be completed.

We were having some issues with tripping our breaker and also wanted to add some outlets in our garage and a few small projects. We had the assessment and talked in depth about getting some of the work done. It really helped us plan our next steps and I would definitely use them. Friendly, professional, and communicated every step of the way.

We had been having a few problems: some of our outlets weren't working, our doorbell was new but wasn't working, and an electric heater we had been using kept tripping off the power. The technician was on time and thorough in his inspection; he explained what needed to be done to improve our situation and even pointed out some things we could do ourselves to save on cost. He provided a detailed breakdown of the work needed and the cost involved. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Everything went well. They were prompt, responsive, and did a good job.

Writing this review on 3/15 don't remember details. However, I highly recommend this firm base on the one experience.

It was pretty slow, the work was good quality but also he left a hole in the wall that he hasn't fixed for me. They also tried to up sell us on a lot of things we had and all we wanted is to get the wiring corrected.

The service was great. We were happy with it. They came out within the week after we purchased the Big Deal; it was pretty quick. There were no additional charges on top of what we paid for the service. Everything was to our satisfaction. He was able to advise us on one of our issues that we had without any extra charge so that was nice. Only one person came out. Everything has been great. We had been out of electricity for a whole year in a couple of our rooms and had no idea what was wrong. He had let us know and it was fixed immediately. So, we are happy. I think they were the cheapest out of the ones that were doing the same type of work. I was not here, but my husband was quite pleased. Before we purchased it, he had suggested going to Mr. Electric and I was skeptical about it, but everything turned out fine. I believe he was very punctual.

Mr Electric sent a two man team to complete our job, which was bid expecting it to take two days with their two man electrician team. The electricians were professional and thorough with what they did for us. While the job took quite a bit longer they charged us what they had bid. Their pricing included all materials and was very reasonable for what they accomplished. We had a problem with the plug circuit fairly soon after they were completed, but they responded that day to resolve the issue. Overall we were very happy with the electrical work that Mr Electric did for us and we would hire them again in the future.

He didn't do our whole house inspection. He just fixed the problem that I question but he didn't walk to the house. I expected him to look to the house but he didn't do that. He is helpful and he is really nice but he just didn't look to the whole house. I presented coupon twice and all he did was asked about outlet. They were nice but he didn't check the whole house. He was a very very nice guy. I called him to fix the breaker and it broke so I called him again. He replaced the breaker. They were very,very friendly but i had to call him back to fix the problem.

THE PROVIDER ARRIVED ON TIME. THEY HAD TWO PEOPLE AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL

They arrived on time, set up a plan with the other contractors on site, kept us informed all the way along. They were thorough and tidy.

Quick, efficient, done right.

The first thing Jerry did was remove not only the globe and bulbs, but also the metal ring that held the light fixture in place. He could see, and showed me, that some previous person had attached a couple of wires together, which never should have been done. The first person who was here, referred to in my previous review, never looked beyond the light bulbs. It was the first thing Jerry did which immediately made the problem obvious, and a very simple fix from there. By this time, I was not speaking too kindly about the first tech but in spite of that, Jerry remained very professional and even had kind words for the first tech, in spite of my feeling that the first guy had been too lazy to do the job right in the first place. There was no additional charge for repairing the light, and it was a very quick fix. Jerry at Mr. Electric saved the day, or at least the customer, and I will use Mr. Electric in the future for all my electrical needs. He's a definite asset to Mr. Electric and definitely restored my faith in the company. Thanks, Jerry, for a job well done!

Service was great. Sean, who was very pleasant and knowledgeable, came out to help. He was not able to find the issue so we set up another visit from Bill. Our house had been rewired by the previous owner so it took Bill some time to find the problem, bit his persistence paid off. Problem solved and all is working properly.

The installer was friendly and efficient. He found the best place to put the new electrical box. It looks good. It worked well when we tried it with my generator. Also, the price was good compared to other estimates. There were some problems. The top of the electrician's truck dented an overhanging gutter. The company paid for a replacement gutter. The gutter company also replaced a few more gutter replacements for me at my cost. I am pleased with the result since my old gutters had some dents from falling branches. The exact date and price for this work are possibly not accurate, since it was over a year ago. I do remember being satisfied with both their work and the price.
