It's been two months and I still can't get Morgan Transfer to tell me when they'll deliver my "overflow"... which was really that they decided to put my stuff on a truck with another client and was only able to fit half of my things as the rest of the truck was filled with another person's things. They don't return my phone calls and when I actually talk to the people"coordinating" my move I hear that they're waiting on the corporate office to tell them what to do. I have China, Christmas decorations, emergency food, but do not have my bed, the second bedroom, my complete sofa or sectional (both items only had a portion of the furniture delivered), yard tools, tools in general, bookcases to put the books in that they did deliver. I'd be careful about using United/Morgan Transfer if you aren't part of a bigger contract like the military or a corporation. As an individual who used them, they certainly don't seem interested in delivering the rest of my items to me.

I needed a quick turnaround for a local move of furniture. Everything from quote to getting a quick date went smoothly. On the day of the move, they arrived on time and careful of the home and belongings. They were courteous, professional, and personable. I'll definitely use them in the future and would recommend to others.

Done on time. No damage to my furniture and pictures or heirloom furniture.
Description of Work: Disassembled and reassembled furniture and put in place. Moved all heavy items. Team of three men who all worked well together.

I hired Morgan Transfer to move my things from Shelton to Long Beach. During transport, one of the movers put his knee through a glass panel on my curio cabinet. He apologized and assured me that someone from there office would be emailing me a claim form right away. It took over a week, and then it was me calling, again, that finally got them to send me a claim form. I filled it out completely and returned it to them the same day. Meanwhile, I have a very large, unusable, curio cabinet in my new home along with boxes of things that I cannot put away until it is fixed. I am assured by someone at the office that the paperwork has been forwarded and I will get my payment soon. So I wait. I call around to find out about getting the cabinet fixed. No one is available to come to my home to fix it. I can't, or even lift the thing myself. If I could, I wouldn't have had to hire a moving company! So, I wait longer. My nephew is over and tries to crawl inside the empty curio cabinet, through the glass-free panel. He pulls the whole thing over on himself. Thank goodness he wasn't seriously injured. I have to find someone who has a truck to haul the cabinet to the dump for me. I cannot afford to fix it, because I STILL have not been paid. I still have boxes in my house. I keep emailing Morgan Transfer, I keep getting assurances. "We are required to finalize all claims within 120 days but will be well within that timeline for your final settlement." Yeah, right. Four months come, and go. After the 120 have passed, I am no longer getting responses to email or phone messages from my contact person. I have to call someone else in the office and have THEM leave her messages. I get another email, oops, I didn't file it, as I have been assuring you I did, I misplaced it. I have just been lying and feeding you a line of bull for the past 4 months. Now, I assure you that I have given it to the owner and you will get a check next week. I write back and, very politely, let her know how unhappy I am. No response, of course. I finally get my check from them. I got their "basic coverage," so I knew I wasn't going to be able to replace the cabinet. In no way did I expect more money, or enough to make whole again what their movers destroyed. What I did expect, was a sincere apology from management. For goodness sake, if, as their representative stated, they are "required" to finalize claims within 120 days, what sort of penalty exists when they do not follow their own rules? I have no recourse, except to share my story.
