I contacted Rick on 4/11/17 by phone to set up at time to provide an estimate for bathroom remodel work. He arrived at the scheduled time on 4/18 and took notes about our project. He asked for my email address so he could send us an estimate. I did not hear again from Rick after that initial visit. I sent him 3 texts about a small addition to the project between 4/22 and 5/2 to which I received no reply (I know the texts were received because I sent my address to him via text, and he found the house). In the final text I thanked him for his time and assumed we would not be getting an estimate from him, since we had had no contact. I would have appreciated a short text or email to at least let me know he wasn't interested in the job. Instead, I was kept waiting and wondering. Unprofessional.

Rick and his team were absolutely fantastic to work with. I checked references up front and was told he was a great contractor, and my experience was no different. Rick is extremely experienced and unlike many contractors, he stays primarily on a single job until it's done and participates in the work himself, especially carpentry. I solicited three contractor quotes. Rick's was the lowest by far--the spread between bids was almost $200k! Rick stated that his quote was a bid, and he stayed true to that throughout the project. I added extra budget to the project for upgrades to certain items, but I was happy to do so given that I knew the bid was reasonable and reliable. His core team consists of a tight-knit group of family and friends, all of whom are great to work with and really professional. While he did sub out electrical, plumbing, trusses, and other major tasks, having a core team on site every day kept the work going smoothly. The project took four-five months to complete, largely due to delays with permit approval in the (unbelievably bureaucratic) city of Kirkland. Rick was patient but I believe had this not happened he would have finished much earlier. The issues with the city were not due to the quality of Rick's work. Rick is a low key guy with high quality expectations. He did not spend excess time on documentation. I did not use an interior designer but rather did most of the choices myself. Rick was happy to work with me on this and shared my sense of quality and value for money. All in all--I would (and will) work with Rick again in a heartbeat.

He did a nice job and he was creative. He did outside work and I did not have to be there, he came by my house for the money. He is good and he will go above and beyond what think he is going to do. He came through for me when I could not find anybody else. I know he was busy so he did it on some down time. He is reliable.

Rick did an outstanding job and the whole experience would have us use Tachell Construction again. -Good price -Work done on schedule (very good communication on progress and when work would be completed - the new windows had to be ordered so had to schedule around that) -Anytime we contacted Rick we had a very quick response. Rick is easy to work and provided us with a lot of good information on this project.

Rick did an amazing job for me. He was right on target with everything. He was professional, prompt and did a beautiful job. I love my new bathroom. i would definitely recommend him and would use him again. I also thought his price was fair. Once he got started he stayed on task and got the job done in a timely manner, which I greatly appreciate. Very nice work.

Tachell construction exceeded my expectations in all aspects of this project. Mr. Tachell provided a very competitive bid, proposed design enhancements for our gutter system to eliminate known problems, worked with us to select the best materials, and installed the new roof, gutters and downspouts within budget and on the schedule we agreed to. His craftsmanship is excellent. We have received many comments on how nice the completed job looks. Mr. Tachell is very professional and a nice person to work with. He was very considerate of our home and those that he came in contact with. I would not hesitate calling on Tachell construction again for any size job.

Rick Tachell was extremely easy to work with; very flexible; had excellent knowledge of what was involved, needed, and appropriate; and did exactly what he said he would do making sure everything was to our satisfaction before asking for final payment.

I had a great experience. He did everything he said he'd do on time, neatly and professionally.I didn't have a real vision of what I wanted. He went shopping with me and we picked out tiles and fixtures that would work. I relied on his expertise. His design was perfect. Everyone who has seen it raves. I wanted strong safety handles, but wasn't sure what size or where they should go. He placed them exactly in the right spot. Rick was easy to work with. He's a nice guy who cares about what he does. I communicated via email a few times and he responded immediately. I would use his company again.

We could never agree on a date that would work. He was not at all accommodating.i felt that if the job didnt fit his timeline we would continue to play cat and mouse through email. I decided to stop communicating with him and never heard from him again.

I thought that they were really professional and I appreciated how timely they were. The cost was actually very reasonable as well. They were really funny and fun to work with and I felt comfortable having them in my home, which makes a big difference to, so that was really nice. It was really a positive experience for sure. I plan on using them again as soon as I can afford another upgrade to the house.
