Potts Painting

I found Rob to be very responsive and they show up on time, when they say they will. They cleaned up after themselves and acted very professionally. I wouldn't not hesitate to use them again!

They were recommended by my neighbor, and they did a good job. I am not disappointed. Their price was right in line with the other quotes I got, so I don’t have an issue with price at all. They were here when they said they would, so their punctuality was excellent.

I had a coupon, and they did an excellent job. I think the coupons were expiring when I first called, and they were a little overwhelmed. I think they are a rather small company. It took him a couple of times to get back to me. In terms of coming when he said he would, he was on time. I would absolutely use him again.

Jeff and his team were extremely responsive, gave a very competitive bid, and did excellent work from start to finish. The area around the house was kept super clean (I had been concerned about lead paint flakes going everywhere - the did not). Jeff and his team kept me constantly updated on the status of things. They also provided great advice and were patient in helping me troublshoot a color issue that came up (resulting from an error on my part). I highly recommend this company.

We purchased our house and had one week flat between closing and needing to move in. I called Potts Painting after seeing their reviews on Angieslist. Jeff was at the house the day after we closed and had a bid to us within 24 hours. We requested an a la carte bid because we wanted to get as much painting done as we could within our budget. Jeff' broke up the bid by room and with/without trim. This was perfect and we were able to paint all of the areas of the house that were really important to us. Their bid came in slightly higher than the other painter we had bid on the project but we went with Potts because we thought they would do a better job and back up their work. It took us 24 hours to respond to Potts after receiving their bid and they started the following morning. Fernando and Rob were wonderful! I am super picky about people we have in our house because we have small children and I really liked everyone from Potts. I was nervous about some of my color choices because they were fairly bold. I was trying to stop by regularly in case some color was a disaster but I missed the entire painting of the yellow family room. I hated the color. Rob totally took it in stride (I'm sure he hated it too) and I don't think Fernando even flinched at learning he would get to repaint the family room. Rob helped me find a new yellow (straw) and I love it. Rob and I looked at the rest of my colors and made some color changes. He was great and really sees color as it is going to look on the wall. The paint looks great! Potts showed up early every day, stayed late and really dealt well with a super stressed out soccer mom. The project was done in 3 days. They cleaned up and made sure we were happy before leaving.

Jeff Potts came to my house to look over and prepare a bid. At the time I was not quite sure of the colors I wanted. He gave great advice. I went with his suggestions and am really glad I did. He has a great eye for what the final results will look like. He emailed a room-by-room itemized proposal so I could eliminate any areas if I chose to. Rob and the other painters were totally professional and made living for the 5 days of work really easy. They made sure I could get to and use the parts of the house I needed as the job was going on. I am thrilled with the way my house looks, and I highly recommend them!

Jeff was very professional and thorough in his estimate. The crew did a great job and made sure that everything was cleaned up each day. They were also very responsive to our requests for touch-ups. They really cared about doing a good job.

We received 4 bids from the 5 Angies List firms we contacted. Bids ranged from $4,000 to $5,900. The two low bids were identical. We selected Potts because their workmen were employees (not contract), they gave an additional Angies List discount, and we felt we could work well with them. We scheduled several months in advance because of our other commitments, with pressure washing a month ahead of actual staining. They kept to the schedule, were on time with every appointment, and completed the staining in in three days. The workmen were professional and personable. They did an excellent job cleaning up, and there was no damage to landscaping. We are well-pleased with their work and would hire them again.

Did an excelent job as promised. Was on time, weather was good. At end of job walked around and fixed/repainted small parts that were missed. Very cooperative. Came back 3 days later and painted a few small areas that were missed and could only be seen from inside house. Will use again as jobs come up.

These guys are the absolute best - honest, hard-working, and excellent at what they do. I've worked with a number of painters, and I've never seen anyone work quite like these guys. I will never rely on anyone else. These gusy are amazing!

The house needed painting and was especially bad around the windows. It was all one color and we wanted something different than the usual northwest shade of brown with white trim. We have a small plant nursery business we run out of our house and we wanted something different but tasteful. We hired a color consultant and she came up with a four color design that included violet highlighting and a lot detail work on the front porch and door. We put out bids to three grade A companies that we found on Angie's List. We narrowed it down to two painters and went with Potts because we were very impressed with Jeff Potts, the business manager, and his estimate. Potts is also a family owed business which appeals to us. Potts came out to paint on schedule. While reviewing the rather complex painting scheme, Rob Potts, the owner, made several suggestions on the trim that he thought would work better. We agreed and while the changes made extra work for Potts they did not increase the price. Along the way as things took shape we came up with other changes that took more time and paint. Potts gave us a very reasonable estimate for the changes. The result turned out better than we had hoped. Jeff called several days after the job was completed and asked how things looked. There were several very minor things we noticed - too minor to call and complain about. One of the problems was outside of their control since we swapped out a door lock and the new door lock was smaller than the old one revealing a small area that needed touching up. Rob promptly came out and fixed these issues even though I was willing to correct them myself. My experience with Potts was great from beginning to end. The painters were pleasant and professional and bent over backwards to make sure we were satisfied with their work. I will be using them in the future when it comes time to redo our interior paint.

I did not hear from the company right away, but then I got an apology email stating that the company would go out soon and provide me with an estimate. When I didn't hear anything for over a week, I emailed to inquire about the bid. Jeff emailed to state that the company emailed me a bid, but that he would resend it. I sent a response email thanking him and asking him to resend it. I did not receive the bid by the next day, so inquired again and have never received a response. I find that odd, since my other emails worked. I am not hiring this company for any work.

I have yet to hear back from them. I will be contacting them again.

We just purchased a home 3 months previous and it was overdue for maintenance. Rob from Potts Painting came over to give an estimate on painting a baby's room, refinishing our exterior windows, staining our shingles and treating the deck. Rob was very knowledgable and was able to tell me which jobs were critical to take care of right away, and which jobs could wait until next season. His estimate was very fairly priced. The timing did not work out (September is his busy season) so we went with another bid, but I would definitely consider working with Potts Painting in the future.

Jeff was great about making me comfortable about the process, and offerred a a color consultation that he called color assurance. He worked around my schedule to set up the meeting and get the paint samples on the house. He really listened to what I said, and was able to help out with my selection process. I did not believe the assurnace it until I saw the colors! They are perfect. Everyone in my meighborhood loves it. I was also getting some deck work done. The deck guy was much harder to work with, but Jeff was amazing in communicating with him. When it came to scheduling, he was absolutely perfect! He did everything to get my project done on my timeline - regardless of the rain (darn Seattle) and the hard to work with deck guy.

The owner's son arrived exactly on time to provide a quote. He was very nice and very professional. I told him that we would be on vacation the following week, so a quote the week after would be fine. I did not receive a quote the week I returned from vacation. I contacted him via email and received a response that he would get it to me the next day. I never heard from him again.

Called Potts afte purchasing an Angie's List Big Deal. I need the job done quickly as I had a houseguest coming and need the guest room painted. Even though Potts was inundated with business from the Big Deal, they made the time to fit me in and get the job done to meet my schedule. They showed up on time, took care to protect the carpet, etc; and then left the job spotless.

Jeff and his dad Rob run a great operation. They painted a bedroom with care, provided their services on time, and were friendly to work with.

Initial consult with Jeff was great -- on time and to the point. They did a nice job. There was a little grumpiness that we had purchased our own paint.. Also, a couple of small spots could have been improved with a little spackle. The did a real nice job overall.

Everything went pretty much as expected. It took a total of six days. Pressure washing took one day, Scraping and priming with peel stop primer took two days (it was really bad). Painting walls, overhang, trim and front door one day and spot touch up three hours. The crew varied from two people to four people. The area around the house was tidied up each day. The only issue was due to the furnace vent trough the roof of the garage being covered by a canvas drop cloth one day. This caused the furnace overheat switch to trip leaving us without heat for 24 hours until we could get a furnace repair guy out to figure out what had happened and reset the manual overheat switch. Neither the crew nor myself had ever encountered the results of a blocked furnace vent. CAUTION: DO NOT BLOCK FURNACE VENTS!

The walls look great. Some of the walls were previously painted some very dark colors and needed to be repainted in light beige. There was a lot of doors and detail work. I would definitely hire them again.

I was very happy with their work. They were very thorough and did a good job. They were polite and professional, and the price was good. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

During the estimating process, Jeff Potts provided welcomed advice in selecting colors, explained preparation procedures, and making decisions. The estimated price was competitive and included two coats of paint for all areas. The multi-man crew (including owner Rob Potts) arrived every day as scheduled and was very professional and courteous in doing the work. I was very pleased with the very high quality of the work - wooden floor areas were protected for the complete duration of the project, wall and ceiling surface preparations were very well done including appropriate texturing, and the paint work turned out extremely well. All of the kitchen cabinets doors were removed and sprayed in a temporary paint booth that they created in my garage (they also protected the garage floor from overspray), and the extensive cabinets were carefully masked and sprayed. A few areas of minor additional work were quickly estimated and agreed upon and included in the work. The final price was exactly as estimated. The house interior now looks like new and is a dramatic improvement over it's previous condition. I am pleased to highly recommend Potts Painting. Their work is of the highest quality and they are very professional in execution of the project.

Potts Painting is very professional and I am very happy with the service I received. They were on time, did exactly as estimated and were very responsible. Called me after the first day to review and discuss what they had done and would be doing next. They took a lot of effort in masking areas not to be painted and to keep everything clean. They even returned after the job to fix and repaint some doors that were sticking. I trust their work completely and would definitely hire them again.

On my initial call I talked to one of Rob's sons, who promply scheduled a date for Rob to take a look and give me an estimate. A few days later I gave Rob a tour of the house and consulted with him on paint manufacturers as well as colors. He assembled a quote right on the spot, and his numbers were in line with some of the other quotes I got (and below a few others). I made my choice based on a combination of price, knowledge (I asked a few probing questions), personality, and timing. Rob assisted me with color selection--I started with 3 choices and narrowed it down to one. The folks working at the Sherwin-Williams store in my neighborhood know him, which helped. After that things unfolded just like Rob and I discussed, with them (it is a family business) pressure-washing the house, covering windows, fixing several areas in the siding, and completing the job in time. They graciously juggled a few late-September sprinkles and upgraded my paint (at no cost) to the next in class, which is better suited to wet weather. I had a great experience with Potts Painting: they did a good job, were professional, on time, and offered a competitive price. I will probably commission them for an interior job.
