Potts Painting

Overall experience better than expected. I had requested specialty stripes for ceiling and the outcome is far better than imagined. The painters were on time and considerate. Spackled the holes, and replaced any items that they removed.

The house was completely emptied of furniture due to the extent of work involved. Rob's team came in and worked diligently over the course of 8 days including Sat and Sun on a weekend. His team were very friendly and cleaned up well after the job finished. Overall, we were very happy with the results, and would use Potts Painting again.

Our house siding had been stained many, many years prior in a very dark color which was fading and looked terrible. We hired Potts Painting to paint the exterior siding, including a high deck, 2 covered porches and all trim. To prepare for painting, Potts pressure washed the exterior and removed all old hardware. During the course of pressure washing, we discovered that our well would not support the volume of water needed to finish the prep in 3-4 days as planned. Rob Potts, the owner, accommodated this situation by sending his workers out to pressure wash each day for the short time our well would allow. Because of this, the prep work took about 3 weeks instead of 3 days. During this time, Rob was in constant contact with me, almost on a daily basis, to apprise me of the job status. He also came out to the house personally on several occasions to check on his workers' progress. When the painting was finally able to commence, Rob sent several painters out to get the job done before the weather turned rainy. He satisfactorily addressed each concern I had, helped me pick out a great color combination and made suggestions which improved the outcome of the job. I would definitely hire Potts Painting again based on their responsiveness, willingness and ability to address unforeseen problems and overall quality of their work.

He was NOT TALKING. HE GOT HERE AND IT WAS OBVIOUS HE JUST WANTED TO GO FAST AND LEAVE. The paint looks ,and is CHEAP. He was moody !!!!! POOR job..

It was a great experience. They came out to discuss a bid, and their price, although a little higher than others we got, seemed fair. He really seemed to know what he was talking about, and answered questions for us that other bidders could not or would not. He was frank with us up-front about what he saw as problem areas that might impact the "performance" of the paint (we have some areas of our exterior walls that seem to funnel water over it, summer or winter). It didn't feel like it was a cover-your-rear kind of approach - it felt honest, and that was refreshing. They came out when they had agreed to come out, and got each step done in a timely manner. They came and sanded one day, and then did prep work another, and then the painting in a couple of sessions shortly after that. For the most part they were great about cleaning up after themselves each day, and no plants were harmed during the project. That's saying something, since there are bushes and trees ringing virtually the whole house. They asked during the project if we wanted our concrete front steps painted. It had not been part of the original bid/discussion, but they included it with the appropriate kind of paint for no additional charge. Nice touch. Everything looked great when they were done. There were no delays - they finished when they had expected to finish. We had a little bubbling within the paint that appeared over the course of the next summer (2012). Rob had told me if there were any issues with the paint job (because we had it done in October, the weather had started to turn just a little, so painting conditions were no longer prime), just call him and he'd take care of it. So a year later (fall 2012) I called and mentioned the bubbling. He said he'd take of it. And he did. They came out in a timely fashion, did not require us to be home, and re-sanded and re-painted the troublesome areas. No extra charge on that either. All in all, Potts Painting is a great outfit to work with. They were professional, courteous, mindful, and exhibited excellent customer service throughout the entire process and beyond. I'm confident that even if I called them again this summer with an issue (which I don't expect, by the way), he would be there to "make it right."

Rob replied promptly to my initial inquiry. He was very professional, answered all my questions thoroughly and set up a time to meet. He was punctual arriving to my home, his estimate time needed to walk through and give a quote was also accurate. I had someone else come over to give a quote and he said it would take 10 minutes and he took 25 minutes and was late. I don't like to have my time wasted. Rob will not waste your time. He does what he says he will. His communication via phone and email is prompt and efficient. He was also very accomodating. I needed the job done quickly since I just purchased this home and had family visiting in a couple weeks. He made it happen in 3-4 days, which was a life saver!! I had received a few other quotes which were more than his and one person was going to take twice as long. His team went the extra mile and the final price ended up being slightly lower than what he originally quoted. I highly recommend him!! And will definitely use his services in the future. The crew was always on time and cleaned up the area. They were mindful of our trees and shrubs. Potts painting does not give a written Guarantee He said if a problem arose from their workmanship he would fix it. Rob and his crew did an excellent job on the painting of the house. He had lots of experience and it showed. However their knowledge on how to cover a project car to protect it from the elements was extremely lacking. The only problem I had with Potts painting revolved around a vintage car in the driveway. It belonged to my son. I didn't want to move it because it was hard to start. We were told we could move it or they would cover it. The tarps left some scratches and the plastic film left marks. We realized the paint on the car was not in good condition after the fact. We showed the affect of the tarps and plastic to Rob. We were both unsure as how best to repair the damage. An apology was all that was given. I might use Potts again but, I would be sure to move any vehicles far out of the way.

Rob and his crew are professional and thorough and do and outstanding job. They show up on time and get the job done. They are very reasonable in what they charge. Use them!

Pott's Paint did a great job on some very difficult interior spaces including a room with a cathedral ceiling, a pair of bathrooms with tall, narrow skylights and a stairwell and hallway. The work was done on schedule, and fast, and they accommodated a late request from me. The workers communicate easily and well, and it was overall a great experience.

Perfect. I could not have asked for any better. Absolutely perfect!

Everything was done quickly and simply. I got three quotes, and Potts' was not the cheapest, but he responded quickly, scheduled easily, and was as professional as could be. The entry is tricky to paint, since the stairs descending have a wall going up to the second-story roof right above them. They painted it all in the day they said it would take, and billed what they said they would. Couldn't ask for more!

So far, Rob has been great. He is very responsive, replying emails or returning calls immediately. It was also great how he helped us choose between different paints. For us, it was important to select an eco-friendly paint, and Rob helped us find one that is great to work with and doesn't cost very much.

We have used Potts Painting before and knew we would get a great job. Rob is simply the best painter we have ever used. The quality is excellent, they are timely, clean and respectful and the price is always fair. We couldn't recommend Rob highly enough.

They did a great job. They owner was always there and checked in with us every step of the way to make sure everything was correct and how we wanted it. The crew was very capable; the price was competitive compared to other bids we'd gotten; and the job was done in a timely manner as promised by the company.

Rob promptly responded to my voicemail that I had a painting project, visited the house, provided me with a comprehensive quote, and we scheduled the work. However, before we could start the project I decided to have some construction work done. I contacted Rob and he worked with me to reschedule the job to support my needs, and the projects he had planned. His team arrived as scheduled to perform the work. They were very professional and the work was extraordinary. Because I wanted lots of colors they had to change out and clean tools a lot, but they took it in stride. The project was finished on schedule and on budget. I am very happy with their work and would hire Potts Painting again.

I was very pleased with Potts Painting. Rob was very informative and was willing to answer any and all questions. He gave me ways of getting the house done at an affordable price. The guys that came out to actually do the painting were also very helpful. Josh and the person working with him were very detail oriented.The end result, my house looks great and I got it at an affordable price.

This was a good experience. The crew had to work around several days of Seattle rain, so the job stretched out over a couple of weeks, but they were good about communicating with us. They put a lot of care into prepping the house thoroughly, spending about 3 days scraping, sanding off the old paint, and priming. When I had a minor complaint about the rough appearance of one part of the house (due to lots of scraping required in that area), they went back and used exterior spackle to smooth it out. This added at least half a day of work, but they did not charge extra for it. They did exactly what we wanted with the color scheme and were really easy to work with. They showed up on time and worked hard. We were also happy that it was easy and quick to schedule the job. We contacted the company in mid May for an estimate, and 5 weeks later, the job was completely done. The estimate was close to the final price. They did a perfect job of cleaning up when the job was done. We would definitely use this company again.
