Description of Work: I have not made a decision yet as their prices fluctuate. Service is slow, and no price sheets or listing of prices. Wanted to use local rather than online. But friends have used other places including online.

Description of Work: After getting estimates from several companies, we chose Kirkland Fireplace to run gas line and install a gas fireplace insert. Their estimate was lower than the other companies we contacted. We were surprised when they didn't call us back for several days after telling them they got our business. After a couple more calls from us, the estimator came out to finalize the estimate. They raised the estimate several hundred dollars but seemed to know what they were talking about so we accepted it. After another phone call from us, we were scheduled 5 weeks out. The day finally arrived to install the gas line. The installer ran into a snag drilling through the foundation and came up to ask my wife if she had any ideas how to run the gas line! Well, in fact she did but he didn't think her idea would work and left. We had to call Kirkland Fireplace a couple of times to find out what they were going to do next. They suggested we hire another company to cut the foundation (at a cost of $1000). Kirkland Fireplace was already charging us over $1600 to run the gas line so we told them that we wouldn't be paying any more money than that. They didn't have any more ideas so we asked for our $2000 deposit. So, after a week we checked our credit card - they hadn't refunded our deposit so we had to call them one last time. We just hired another company to install the fireplace. The owner came out and quickly had a solution for running the gas line. Coincidentally, it was the same idea my wife suggested to the Kirkland Fireplace guy...

+ -1 moreI WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT THE GENTLEMAN WE WORKED WITH HAD. HE WAS HELPFUL AND SCHEDULED US QUICKLY FOR OUR INSTALLATION. WE HAD KIRKLAND FIREPLACE BEAT A COMPETITOR ON THE SAME SET UP BY OVER TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS. I WOULD USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN, ANYTIME.
Description of Work: REMOVED AND REPLACED FIREPLACE WITH A NEW INSERT. NEW INSERT IS MUCH MORE EFFICIENT AND HEATS THE BOTTOM FLOOR VERY WELL. THEY ALSO PUT A LINER IN THE CHIMNEY AND DISPOSED OF THE OLD FIREPLACE.

Description of Work: WE GOT OUR NEW FIREPLACE, DOORS, FACE AND LOG SET FOR OUR LIVING ROOM. IT LOOKS GREAT.

+ -1 moreTHE WORKMEN DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF INSTALLING A NEW UNIT IN AN EXISTING HOUSE. THE JOB WAS DIFFICULT BUT THE WORK DONE WAS EXCELLENT. THE UNIT HAD TO BE VENTED THROUGH AN EXISTING ROOF.

+ -1 moreOUR FIREPLACE WOULD NOT LIGHT. IT HAD BEEN TURNED OFF FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS. OVERALL IT WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE. SERVICE CALLS ARE ALWAYS A NUISANCE BECAUSE IT COSTS JUST TO GET THEM THROUGH THE DOOR, BUT AT LEAST HE GOT THE FIREPLACE WORKING.
Description of Work: WE HAD A SERVICEMAN COME OUT TO THE HOUSE TO LOOK AT IT. HE HAD TO REPLACE THE STARTER SO IT WOULD LIGHT.

+ -1 moreWE CALLED THE COMPANY AND THEY LOOKED UP THE PAPERWORK TO SEE WHEN WE HAD PURCHASED IT. AN EMPLOYEE WAS SENT OUT WITHIN A WEEK AND THE FAN WAS REPLACED. THE FIREPLACE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.
Description of Work: WE HAD PURCHASED A GAS FIREPLACE FROM KIRKLAND FIREPLACE. THE MOTOR THAT BLOWS THE WARM AIR HAD DEVELOPED A REALLY LOUD RATTLE. WE CALLED THEM TO FIX OR REPLACE THE PROBLEM

+ -1 moreTHE SALESMAN WAS MOST HELPFUL WHEN WE WENT INTO THE STORE. WE HAVE UNIQUE BRICK OPENING IN OUR FIREPLACE AND NEEDED A CUSTOM DOOR FOR THE SET UP. THEY WERE COMPARABLE IN PRICE TO THE OTHER STORES WE WENT TO. THE ONLY PROBLEM WE HAD WAS GETTING THE MAN OUT TO DO THE ORIGINAL MEASUREMENTS.
Description of Work: WE HAD A CERAMIC CHIMNEY LINER INSTALLED ALONG WITH A GAS FIREPLACE INSERT WITH A CUSTOM BUILT DOOR INTO OUR FIREPLACE.
