It went terrible. Ghee is not a professional to work with. He cares about the money and not the customers. When you hire an experienced landscaper, they would include soil or a weed cover. Ghee charge us extra after our original agreement. My wife and I own an Adult Family Home and we care for our residents. We wanted a beautiful landscaping for our lovely residents and he failed at delivering that. He took 4 months to finish when he said he would finish it before our wedding on 5/26/2017 and he finished 8/11/2017. He left a ditch in our driveway for many weeks and our residents could not go for a walk because it was very dangerous for them. After many phone calls he finally came one day and still got the guts to put it on our faces that he came to work on saturday to fix this as a favor for us. WOW!! Really? His communications stills are poor even though he said he has been in business for a long time. Don't waste your time with this company. He always want money in every single chance he can have. He will charge you extra in anything you would need. Don't assume good things from this guy. He does not care about the project nor his customers. He is experienced from charging extra to his customers. The project was not done when he left us. There's 10-15 percent left. We settled to some price because we can not tolerate to see him anymore. The plants are laying on the floor, and after exactly one week our front yard has lot of weeds already. I regret of hiring this guy. It makes me depressed everyday I see our front yard. We have to redo our front yard because of this guy Ghee from Fire Sparrow. He talks a good game but does not perform the work he is hired for. He doesn't even follow the drawings we had drawn up. He will threaten to put a lien on your property even though he didn't finish. Even the 3 lawyers we talked to said the easiest way out would be to come to an agreement. So please don't do what we did and hire this guy and company. You will thank me in the long run. Please stay away. I will be glad to give my address to show the terrible work done.

Showed up when they said they would and did what I asked. I'll hire them again.

It was difficult to schedule our 40 hours due to conflicts and weather, but all got finished to our complete satisfaction. Ghee and his crew were great to work with.

Very good and the work was done efficiently with good quality.

They did a very good job spreading bark by hand around plants and very evenly. Works were also friendly and fun to have around.

Fence was some old piece he found somewhere that didn't even fit the space. I should have gone with a professional fence company. Yard work ok but don't think they put in the hours I paid for. Bad experience over all.

After numerous, numerous attempts to contact and schedule a date, and payment upfront via Angie's List, Fire Sparrow never offered a date to do the work, and now they have stopped replying to my inquiry attempts. I am requesting a full refund.

They were good. I wasn't really happy with the overall work.

The person (Tom) that showed up just whiled away the hours did not do the difficult job which I told him was my 1 st priority the plan he explained to get the job done never happened he promptly did the easier job of planting potted flowers in flower bed I had to check on him and point out the weeds several times and at several places that he missed my yard still has weed after he was done then Ghee shows up and I just st wished I had never bought this deal I have a regular yard maintenance person who does a 100% better job at 1/5 th the price.

I have hired many landscapers in my life, but Ghee stands out as the best. I had been searching for someone to renovate part of my yard for 9 months and had dismal luck until I met Ghee. Here’s are the top ten reasons why you should hire him: 1. He has deep knowledge of both horticulture and landscape design which gives him the ability to come up with a variety of options for any situation. But what comes through most of all is his passion for the work, and thus his understanding of people like me that like to garden. 2. He’s artistic. He knows how to design an area for maximum appeal. 3. He’s one of the most professional contractors I’ve ever worked with---and over the course of owning 9 homes, I’ve seen a lot. His contracts are clear and precise. He has a solid process for change orders (which is essential because there are always changes and this way you know at the end exactly where you stand and related pricing.) 4. He’s responsive. Seattle has had 4 feet of rain (if you are in the area you know I’m stating the obvious) and that meant lots of delays out of our control. No matter how frustrated I got about rain delays, he handled them with aplomb and agility. 5. He keeps the safety of his people top priority. No one wants to get electrocuted by operating a power tool in the midst of a downpour, and he was always keen on avoiding danger for his team. 6. He’s fair. At the end of the project he was able to provide a detailed accounting of costs—even for things most people wouldn’t remember (for example using only one yard of bark when the estimate and plan was for two.) 7. He can work with a budget. I had a set amount I could spend, which was less that the dream I described in the beginning and he found ways to make it work. 8. He’s agile. I would suddenly decide I wanted part of the project to be edible landscaping and instead of being annoyed he was enthusiastic. 9. He understands environmentally friendly principles and can provide great information. 10. He’s thorough. Site was cleaned up, he returned to make sure it was all satisfactory. Overall great experience and I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

I bought 4 hours. One staff came to our property 25 min late and he and I went through the yard and requested pruning and cleaning. He seemed to be working hard for 2 hours. (He said they have to come again for extra 2 hours). Later when I checked the shrubs that were pruned, I was quite disappointed. The shrubs with flowers had been just trimmed with a trimmer, where cutters were needed to be used. Well, spring clean up is all about timing. Now, I have to reschedule with them for another 2 hours. I can't wait to clean my yard ASAP. I purchased the service very early April, now it is May 3rd and I have to schedule for next appointment.

I don’t like giving out bad feedback, unless it deserved. I believe Ghee let his company get overwhelmed and overbooked this year 2017. His companies Angie’s list rating continued to take hits from multiple dis-satisfied customers dropping FireSparrow to a B rating. It was extremely difficult to schedule with Ghee, taking 4 weeks to finally get a hold of him and another 4 weeks to complete the work. He also rescheduled at the last minute on a day I stayed home to help the crew understand my expectations and confirm what they thought they could complete in 4 hours. Unable to be home, I left detailed instructions via email and on the door of what needed to be completed and what to focus on in the short 4 hours we hired his crew. While his crew did a pretty good job pruning and trimming my ornamental trees, they left cut limbs in the trees. His crew also left fall leaves in bushes in the front yard and it appeared like they ran around the yard with a weed whacker to trim everything else and didn't quickly clean the beds of a few weeds. The proper way to trim ornamental grasses is to wrap them in cord, pull it taunt and trim the long blades, not hit them with a weed whacker. I understand it takes continued yard maintenance to make a yard look superb and didn’t expect my house to look like the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. I worked for landscaper during the summers in college, I know what A grade work looks like. However FireSparrow clearly did rushed, C grade work. I didn’t feel like again debating with Ghee or hearing more of his excuses over the phone or via email for a rework, so I cleaned up the yard myself taking another short 1 hr to make it look decent. If FireSparrow had done a great job I would have gladly given them an A rating and asked them back to help me complete brick edging in the backyard this summer. Attached is a pic of my small front yard I mowed the lawn for the picture, but you can clearly see the trashed ornamental green grasses and poor quality trimming on the bushes with fall leaves still stuck in them. I hope Ghee uses this constructive feedback, doesn’t post more lame excuses, doesn’t over book himself again, focusing on quality work and not quantity work in the future.

We had some very severe weather to contend with that caused some delays in job completion, but Ghee kept me looped in and made some recommendations for additional plants that helped to give my home some real curb appeal! They were able to take out some overgrown trees and shrubs, and removed all of the debris. Added some bark mulch and lots of spring color.

Trimmed only one hedge of the three hedges in yard, I didn't think I had to ask them to trim all three in the front, I asked them to deadhead and trim. Workers showed up with NO tools and had to wait for the owner to arrive with basic garden tools.

Arrived on time and did an excellent job.

Ghee and his helpers were friendly, professional and did exactly what they said they would do. They cleaned up the site and left me very happy with my yard. I would definitely hire them again.

Ghee did an excellent job. When a few construction issues came up (e.g. The clay soil preventing proper drainage), he clearly explained what was going on, gave me a few options, & provided generous information to make an informed decision. The patio looks great. When he could not locate exactly the same pavers as our original patio, he speckled the old & new together to give it a nice, non-blocky look. The steps he built (2 steps back into house through slider) are lovely. They now run the full length of our slider door & look sooo nice. The weather was horrible (cold, rain, & more rain), but someone showed up each day they said they would, no matter the weather.

The area that Ghee and his team had to work with was extremely challenging due to the tree roots and slope of the yard, but they worked it out amazingly. I was very impressed with the attention to detail, knowledge and professionalism of Ghee and his team. I will be hiring Fire Sparrow again and highly recommend them.

It was a little tough because we had some frozen ground here. It took them a couple of times to get back to do but I can't blame the frozen ground on them. I would certainly talk to them.

So far, so GREAT! I purchased a Big Deal for 8 hours of cleanup for $399. Ghee arrived with his sidekick, Tom, as scheduled and got right to work. My yard went from ugly to looking as if I had spent regular time and attention on it immediately! Ghee walked my entire challenging property and came back with some fabulous ideas on how to make the yard beautiful, functional and extremely low maintenance -- all of which were high on my "must-have" list! We started back in the fall and, due in no part to any issue on the part of Fire Sparrow, we're still mid-project. A retaining wall that wraps my entire home is nearing completion, a beautiful water feature was dreamed of and implemented -- it's crowned with a gorgeous specimen Japanese maple tree that should be absolutely stunning come spring -- I can't wait to see the blazing colors in the fall! Ghee has addressed a number of huge issues including manhole covers that weren't on plans but are now part of the landscape, a driveway adjacent to the garden area that was jack hammered by the water district searching for buried valves, lighting that needed to be moved and a very restricted budget. He's come up with a solution every single time. If they're going to miss a scheduled arrival, I get a phone call. If additional crew or a subcontractor is coming, I know who, why and when. You can't get much better. Since we're mid-project I don't have "beauty shots" yet but am sending along a still shot of the water feature. Will post additional when we're finished up and I can stand back to oooh and aaah! :)

I'm currently using Ghee and Fire Sparrow to re-make my yard so when I was offered a clean, snow free sidewalk and driveway by these same folks after the last huge snow storm, I jumped. All of the same characteristics as their landscaping work were present: punctuality, quality, attention to detail... voila! A sidewalk that can be navigated by my wheelchair bound husband and peace of mind knowing that we can get both my car and our wheelchair van out should the need arise. I've passed along the information to our HOA and we're now talking about retaining Fire Sparrow for our small development through our association. If you're looking for a company that makes promises and keeps them, shows up when they say they will and does quality work for a fair price, call Ghee and Fire Sparrow -- it's way more pleasant to be inside where it's warm while someone else is taking good care of your property.

Ghee Bouche (the business owner) is a very engaging and courteous individual, and worked closely with us in order to develop an estimate for the work, then once we approved the pricing, he squeezed us into his already very tight year-end work schedule. We appreciated his quick response to our initial request, and the work was performed exactly in accordance with our landlord's specifications. Very pleased...
