Great job, had 3 chimneys and fireplaces checked out and since only one needed cleaning we got charged just that. Very happy with the service and professional work, highly recommend them.

Frank called about an hour and a half before the scheduled time and offered to come by early because they had finished their previous job early. This was great. Emerald came right on time, discussed the scope and got to work quickly. They worked efficiently and I think gave me a fair price.

Wow, do they work just for helping community? Emerald city chimney inc visited today, he checked if there is anything wrong with my fireplace. he think everything is okay. and the fireplaces don't need to be cleaned. I supposed to pay him for just visiting, but he didn't charge anything. They know the good reputation is much more important than money. they know the business. I recommend Emerald city chimney inc to anyone.

I can't say enough in praise of Emerald City Chimney. They were wonderful to work with. They were able to adjust schedules and flex when necessary. They kept a neat and tidy work area, and fixed minor additional things that they found along the way. This was an old chimney that was built sometime in the early 30's. I do not live in this house and the work was supervised by a friend and the tenant. I stopped by to check on the work as it progressed, and they kept me posted and were pleased all along the way. If I needed any other chimney work done, I would use them without hesitation.

Everything was fine & done in a timely manner. Since the baffle replacement was necessary I authorized going ahead with having new one made. It had to be made at a sheet metal shop but it was a small & simple job. Within a week or so the ECC tech was back and installed the new baffle. I thought the cost was very reasonable since it included the cost of the original inspection.

Wayne arrived promptly and did a fantastic job removing the loosened bricks and replacing them. It looks gorgeous and not a bit of debris was left after the job was completed.

He was fast, neat and courteous. I was very pleased. He also didn't try to sell me other services.

Office staff was friendly. Workers were punctual and friendly. They were quick and cleaned up well. One brick was missing at the end of the day... said they would come back the next day with a replacement and finish the job. I had to call after a week without any word from them. The office folks had no idea what I was talking about but quickly pulled paperwork which indeed noted that a brick still needed to be replaced. It was all fixed a few days later (don't know when they came to do it as I had to leave town). All in all the chimney looks beautiful and it was a very painless process. We had a few companies out for estimates. These guys weren't the cheapest and I had to schedule the estimate fairly far out (over a week), but they responded quickly, showed up, spoke intelligently about their business, and didn't talk down to me. They were also willing to split up the job (we couldn't afford it all at once). I'll be calling them for a chimney sweep this week.

Brent did a great job, both places were nicely cleaned-- very prompt, and even did some masonary corrections as well. Both places worked well, and I plan to hire Emeral City Chimney, again this year, as I was totally happy and appreciated the discount too.

Very responsive--other firms were booked until after the holidays, but i was able to get an appt. w/ Emerald city within a week. They were able to explain/document a moisture problem w/ one firebox, and were able to replace the caps on the chimney in that appointment. Great, since it has been a rainy fall.

Despite a last-minute change in the wood flue liner size (I discovered that Buck Stove calls for a larger liner for this insert than the one that Emerald City had specified), Wayne made the necessary adjustments on the fly and completed the work, with no small amount of trouble and travel required to make it happen. This included several trips for parts, and offsite fabrication of a custom adapter the same day. Both the wood and gas flue caps and extensions look terrific, and the improvement in draft is dramatic and immediately obvious. Everything looks very professional, and the staff were a pleasure to work with. They were not the lowest bidder, but the staff's familiarity with my particular stove, explanation of the requirements, and confidence in the work to be performed gave me a higher comfort level than the competing bids. I am very pleased with the results and the value they provided for the cost, and can't speak highly enough about the treatment I received. Outstanding work.

It was highly rated on Angie's List. Things went very well when they came out to give me an estimate; they were on time when they came. I accepted their estimate and they did a very good job. They also put on two chimney caps while they were here. The whole experience was very satisfactory.

Overall, I was disappointed in the service provided by Emerald City Chimney. When I made my appointment, I specifically asked for someone to simply come and take a look and inspect my wood burning stove and chimney. I wanted to be informed if a cleaning was necessary before deciding to go ahead with one (the price was significantly higher for a cleaning). Since I recently moved into my house, I wanted to be sure the stove was safe/clean to use before the winter months arrive. While the technician was on time, I did not feel he acted very professionally. He left his shoes on while walking through the house and chimney soot was left on the wood floors and the stove top after he left. While I thought he was simply completing a routine inspection, it turns out he cleaned the chimney without informing me first that it was necessary and what the associated cost would be. The total cleaning took 10 minutes, including a very quick look at the chimney from the roof. I do not feel the price I was charged was reflective of the work that was done. In addition, I would have appreciated being told that I would be charged the full price of a cleaning before the work was done. That way I could have made a decision on whether to move forward with the service before being charged for it.

These guys came in and replaces the top levels of a chimney that were starting to fall off. They and a few other companies all quoted about the same price, but this team wanted to replace more levels of the brick as part of their job. They arrived on time for the quote and for the service. It looks really nice. They really worked hard to completely clean up and remove all debris. They even washed the roof off to remove all the dust. They were meticulous about ensuring that the chimney sweep kept the home free of debris or soot. I felt that I got a great value from their service from end to end.

Good work, timely follow up in installing a chimney cap as a follow up needed.

It went really well. Both times I was able to get service within a couple of days, and the time window they gave for their arrival was only a couple of hours. Bruce didn't quite make that window today, but he called to explain he was running late due to a traffic accident. As it was he was only about 15 min. late. He did the work quickly, cleanly and was very polite. I especially appreciated that when he came out the first time and recommended getting the concrete cap repaired that he took clear pictures on his phone so that I could see what needed done without climbing on the roof! I also appreciated that I got a reminder call the day before.

Appointment for the estimate and actual work were both on time. Workman was very professional We have been very happy with the results.

I scheduled a chimney cleaning with Emerald City based on price comparison and Angie's list recommendations. Chimney cleaners (sweeps?) arrived on time although I was disappointed that neither looked like Dick Van D***. The price was comparable to others and I did not shop around. We are very happy with their service and will use them again in the future.

They were very good. They were very polite and cleaned up well. There was a mistake in the order, but the president of the company called and they came and made the correction very quickly. I was extremely pleased with them.
