They provided me with an estimate. Scheduled the day for install. They arrived on time and completed the work even though it was more difficult than they initially thought. It required that they cut through the chimney into the flue and then manually bend the liner. They repaired the chimney and it is virtually undetectable. I couldn't be more pleased with the service. We now have a functioning Wood Stove.

Technician gave a look at our chimney and advised us on cleaning of the exterior of our chimney. Also, did a brief exterior check and inside look at both chimneys. Advised us on our gas logs and replacement. We've recently moved and he gave some great information on some options for our fireplaces, as well as talked through a new cap and flashing replacement for our chimney. We were given an estimate, the whole process was less than 30 minutes. I really appreciated his straightforward advice and manner. Will use this company in the future.

The technician arrived on time, and was very friendly. He brought a shop vac inside and used a special filter on the exhaust so there wasn't dust sprayed into our house. He swept the chimney and climbed up on the roof to inspect the top portions, including the wood trim around the chimney. Overall, a very pleasant and informative visit.

Their bid was comparable to others. They were very thorough and did a great job. They talked everything over with me and tried to match the brick as close as possible. Only one of our tenants uses the fireplace, and they are very pleased. We're all very pleased with the service.

Emerald City called the day before to remind us about the time. Frank arrived well within the time window. He checked our two chimneys (one gas and one "prestolog" fireplace) and told us neither needed cleaning. We asked about a solution for our chimney woodpecker problem. He went on the roof, measured the problem and gave us an estimate (good for a year) but no hard sell - and no charge for his visit. You can be sure the next time we have a chimney concern we'll be calling Emerald City.

We contacted Emerald City a few months back to receive a quote. We contacted them again and the quote was still good, so we scheduled the removal. We did have to pay 1/3 up front. The company contacted us over 1 week early to see if we wanted to get the work done--they had an opening in their schedule. We did, and so they did. It took less than 2 hours, and they cleaned up well and left us the salvageable bricks--in a lovely well-stacked pile! Overall very efficient and professional. If we get the rest of the chimney removed we'll consider contacting them (if we don't do it ourselves).

Emerald City Chimney did a great job. They were courteous, punctual, and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions at the estimate. When it came time to complete the job, 3 people came to do the job - one on each chimney, and one to manage the crew. They were efficient and the work looks great. They took the time to explain what they were doing whenever I came to check on progress, and even did a bit of extra work at no extra cost when they discovered that it needed to be done. I highly recommend them.

Checked upstairs fireplace for insert removal but could not remove at first date due to additional person requirement.

We obtained a couple of bids and made sure we got the best workmanship instead of the price. We were very very pleased with the outcome. We had to have a repair change that they did at no charge.

Great experience. The quote was quick over the phone, and I talked to a tech (Brent) and asked him a few questions. Bruce came for the appointment, was right on time and very professional. He got the job done efficiently without any trouble. He gave me plenty of feedback about how it looked, how often we should have it cleaned, and things that I can do to maintain it. He left the job as clean as he found it. In addition to the AL discount, he ended up charging me about $20 less than the quote, because our stove was a simpler kind that didn't require it to be pulled out of the fireplace to clean. This couldn't have gone better. USE THEM!

We made an appointment well in advance of the service because these guys are booked about a month out. The day prior to service, we got a phone call reminding us that the serviceman would be out between between 10 and 11 the next day. Bruce arrived just after 10 and immediately determined that the damper was rusted shut. He replaced the ruined damper with a new model in about an hour. When I inquired whether he was also going to install a spark arrester, I discovered that it wasn't part of the service he had expected to provide. That may have been because I got the terminology wrong, but in any case, Bruce immediately went and got a needed part, adjusted it in the pouring rain, and installed a spark arrester. I often say that contractors come in two varieties: Those who cause problems, and those who solve them. Bruce is definitely a problem solver.

Cleaned And inspected our chimney and discussed the condition and if any additional services might be needed.

Frank was the technician. He showed up at the very beginning of the time window at 9am. He performed his inspections explaining to me what he saw. After inspecting the flues he explained that neither needed cleaning - I very much appreciated the honest analysis. He pointed out some concerns with the chimney and provided a quote for future work if I chose to move forward. He then installed the top mount damper, cleaned out the fire box, and explained how to use the damper. I was extremely happy with the service, professionalism, and honesty. I will definitely use them for any future chimney/fireplace projects.

They arrived on time and it took them about 2.5 hrs. to clean the chimney, and remove the insert so they could attach the new liner with a cap. They vacuumed the room and left it clean. They were pleasant to work with. I would recommend Emerald City Chimney
