CARTER BROTHERS REFRIGERATOR REPAIR

Showed up on time, diagnosed problem, helped me realize my best solution was to replace the refrigerator. Paid for my service call and was appreciative of the accurate information.

Bill provide excellent service, was very thorough in describing our problem and fixed it! I highly recommend Carter Brothers and will certainly use them again in needed.

Great! The inspection went through each of the problems and helped us figure out what needed to be done to get the fridge in perfect working order. Unfortunately, the delivery of the parts was delayed due to the holidays - however the repair was done the day after the parts arrived. Made our old fridge (12 yrs old) feel new again.

After making many calls trying to find someone that could repair our refrigerator that stopped cooling during the holidays was challenging! I found this company and they were able to come the next morning! Bill was friendly and professional and fixed it. Thank you!!

The thermostat had died in our large, full, upright freezer and our food was starting to thaw. They responded immediately. They couldn't come out, until Monday, but suggested that we get some dry ice. On Monday, they installed a temporary thermostat until a new one arrived. The prompt response helped us to preserve alot of food. The repairman was very nice and personable.

The technician arrived on time and was pleasant and friendly, he quickly identified the problem and the proposed solution and the expected cost. We agreed to proceed with the repair. After some time passed, he came back and said that in the course of the repair he drilled a hole through the refrigerant line. He attempted to fix it with epoxy, and left. The next day the freezer was not holding temperature and our food was rotting. We contacted CARTER BROTHERS who told us to purchase a replacement freezer and that they would reimburse us for a prorated amount for the replacement. We did so and had to throw away much of the food we had in the freezer while we waited for the replacement, and the food we didn't throw away we had to store in friends freezers etc. When we got the new freezer we submitted the receipt to CARTER BROTHERS for reimbursement, and have not heard back from them since.

Everything went well. The technician did a temporary fix while we waited for a new part. We were very satisfied. The technician was helpful and explained the problem and process to us.

He couldn’t fix it because they no longer carry that type of compressor.

Bill from Carter Brothers responded to my call for help. He diagnosed the problem quickly...the fan stopped working due to a build-up of ice likely caused by not closing the freezer door as properly as we needed to. He used a steamer to defrost the ice and restore the fan and the refrigerator to working condition. It took him about 20 minutes total. He wore a face covering at all times and he was friendly, efficient and helpful. Thank you Bill and Carter Brothers Refrigerator Repair!

The repair person thawed ice, ordered a new part, came back and thawed ice again and installed part. He was very friendly and professional, and gave advice about how to best maintain the refrigerator.

This is the second time I've used Carter Brothers. Bill was my service person, very personable and knowledgeable. My ElectroLux refrigerator (which I love) was quickly replaced. The service was quick, effective and reasonably priced. So glad Carter Brothers is in business.

Carter Brothers is amazing! They sent a repair person to my house the day after I called. Performed repair efficiently and well Everything running perfectly. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I was told by the technician of the very common issue of the failure of the linear compressor in LG refrigerators. After doing some research I found out about the class action law suit against LG for this issue. I was better off buying new Fridge. Thank you to Carter Brothers for the good advise.

Bill did a great job, although he had to come back to tweak the original repair, but there was no charge. Very professional.

I was overcharged for replacement of a circuit board in my fridge. Carter Brothers charged me $350 in labor for a repair that took less than an hour. I should have done my homework before accepting the bid, it was only after the work was done that I looked up the cost of the replacement part which was about $150 at retail. Pretty sure Carter Brothers paid less but total bill for this work was $500. I contacted the owner afterward and asked for a partial refund, he said he would refund some of my money. I have yet to see a credit back on my credit card and that was 2 weeks ago. Make sure you do your homework before approving any work done because there are people out there willing to take advantage when the opportunity arises and this is one of those companies.

We didn’t use Carter , because fridge still under warranty for the part, but they spent time giving practical advice

Good - they came for initial call for which there was a flat fee but which would apply toward total. Overall fix was expensive ($500 essentially) but I don't have anything to compare it to so not sure if that was a reasonable price or less/more than competition. Two visits were needed - first to assess, then order parts needed. Came back within three days to fix. Very nice guys.

We're extremely happy with the work, and professionalism. Bill even helped me get a broken bulb out of a ceiling light! We are happy to have a great company for needed repairs.

BILL CAME OUT RIGHT ON TIME. FOUND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND FIX IT WITH NEW PART. TOLD US GREAT INFO. ON THE IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING THE WORKING PARTS CLEAN. Excellent experience. Wasn't sure a Kirkland business serviced West Seattle and was pleased to find they do. When called the technician was on a service call in Marysville, and I was informed he could be at my home sometime between 11-1. The technician called when he was about to leave Marysville and was at my home around noon. He quickly diagnosed the problem, had the needed replacement part and made the repair. He also provided useful information on operation and maintenance. The $360 expense was about 1/5th of what it would have cost to purchase a new refrigerator (none of which appear to be as reliable as older models)..
