They even pointed out out some other issues I had in my crawlspace and helped me figure them out so I could get help. Overall an excellent company and great quality work done

This was an easy and hassle free experience. We have a gas furnace and had bought a coupon on Angie's List for a $69 furnace tune-up. Scheduling was quick and simple. I called and spoke with Ben to schedule and he came to do the work himself. He came on time, was friendly and helpful, and answered all my questions regarding age of furnace, maintenance, etc.He provided additional information about the furnace, cleaned and checked the internal parts, and even vacuumed and dusted the inside and out when he was finished. He said our furnace looked fine with only normal signs of use. The whole thing took about 15-20 minutes. I was pleased with the service and would use them again.

The service person did an inspection and tune-up on our furnace. He showed up on time and went right to work inspecting and fine-tuning the furnance. I was there the whole time and asked questions. He gave me good answers and some tips on what I could do to maintain the furnace as a house owner. I was very pleased with the visit and would use the same company again.

We selected Black Lion because of the great deal they oferd for Angie's list customers. They arrived exactly on time, went right to work yet they hade the time to answer questions. They left the furnance area neat and tidy, too.

Black Lion's employees are extremely professional. From the start I was very impressed. My old furnace was vented improperly so it was basically a rust heap. It continually clogged and was extremely noisy. Black Lion replaced the furnace and vented it properly. It's super quiet and I've noticed a significant difference in the warmth of my home and heating bills. They were very punctual, respectful, and made sure to cover and clean everything. I highly recommend them.

It was very straightforward - They were prompt, on time, and didn't try to sell us on something we didn't need. They covered their shoes so they wouldn't track dirt on the carpet and showed us he did.

Not their fault, but make sure you know the exact type of water heater you need. Turns out that side vent heaters cost almost THREE TIMES a regular water heater! After we figured out that they brought the wrong unit, they immediately went and got the right one and quickly installed it. As is common with floor heat systems, there was a lot of air in the pipes which blocked the flow of the water. They came out promptly when I called to have them correct this. The only reason I will not use them again is because I have moved out of the area.

Great service! I'm sorry I cant remember the two guys names, but they were friendly and very profesional. They removed my old water heater & installed the new one in just a couple of hours. They cleaned up so well I can't even tell they were ever there....other than I now have enough hot water to take a very lonnng shower!

Ben and his team did a great job getting the new furnace installed. They were timely and professional in both estimate and installation and I plan on using Ben's company again to get the air conditioning component installed.

I had purchased a big deal for furnace tune-up a few months back. I called the number on the deal two separate times and left voice mails requesting to schedule the service. Never got a call back. After the second call, I was having some issues with my electric bill and suspected something wrong with my heating system. When the guy from this company finally scheduled and showed up after the third call(which was finally answered), he discovered that I had a part that had failed. He could not tell me how much it would cost to fix then, though he did commit to call back with a price the next day. Also, he was ambiguous about whether replacing the part would fix the system or not. I asked if he was going to check on the rest of the system as per the big deal, such as cleaning the filters, etc. He pulled a filter out, looked at the dust and put it back in, shrugging his shoulders. I was still hopeful when he left that he would call me back the next day as promised but it has been almost a week and I have had no call with an estimate. Just a guess but maybe he was uninterested in doing the smaller repair job as I told him that I could not afford to replace the whole system at this time. I have since learned from a knowlegable friend who came out, got the serial number and priced the parts for me(for less than $100) that the fix is not that tough and it should fix the whole system. In short, while the guy who came to my house was friendly enough, the overall lack of responsiveness and clear information around repairs was not acceptable in my opinion and I would not contact this provider again.

I was so impressed by the service I received. I'd had the furnace serviced before and the difference between the last company I had used and Black Lion Heating was huge. The technician was friendly and punctual. Id been wondering if it was really necessary to get the heater serviced every year. The fellow who came out explained everything he was doing and why. He corrected some problems that he found (gas jets were at an angle and the heater filter was installed incorrectly), explained a way that I can use the fan to circulate air in the summer, and made sure I was getting the heat I needed in every room. I plan to use them again every year

I was happy with the service. They replaced a part and haven't had any problems with the system.

I used the $69 coupon for the Furnace checkup. Brad came by on time to check on the furnace. He found some cracks on the furnace and explained me the options i have. and even offered to check on the warranty on the heat exchangers. Considering that the furnace is about 19 years old i decided to go with a new one instead. He explained me the options with the new furnace and gave me his recommendations for the cost to value stuff... Finally we went with the one he recommended to begin with. I called another company to get a comp quote and found the other company (Bob's heating) to be more nickel and dime for everything. Black Lion had one single price and they take care of everything for the install.

Ben arrived on time and was great about going over our options. They were able to schedule me the next week. We decided to do the job in two steps. We needed the furnace right away and we will have them complete the air conditioning systems in the future. They arrived the day of the install on time, had no issues installing the furnace, and cleaned up area. We've had the new furnace for a month with no problems. Looking forward to having the a/c added before summer.

When our furnace died we called Black Lion after looking at Angie's List. Ben came out the same day, which is nice when you are sitting in a cold house. He gave us good advice about the furnace to choose in our particular situation. He didn't try to sell us the most expensive thing and he explained the characteristics and trade-offs really well. We also had a quote from Evergreen State that was more money for a less capable furnace. The installers did a good job and they did it without making a mess. They knew a lot and explained the furnace and the installation. We chose a modulating furnace with a variable speed fan. The furnace is much quieter than before and that's especially important when the furnace is inside the house.
