Black Lion Heating & Air Conditioning

Our water heater was leaking, so I found the deal Black Lion had on Angie's List and called to see when they could come out if I purchased the deal. The gentleman I talked to was friendly and helpful and told me they could come out that afternoon around 4 pm. I purchased the deal. Around 4 pm, the service tech called to say he would be a little late, which I thought was very good customer service. They arrived around 4:30, took out my old water heater and installed the new one. They were polite, clearly good at their jobs, efficient and friendly. I was very pleased and would use them again and would recommend them to anyone. A great experience!

I used Black Lion to install an A/C unit for my house / home office after having used them previously to replace an aging furnace. My experience with this latest job was equal to the quality of the first job they performed for me: fast, professional and a solid installation of quality components. Everything has been perfect since the installation two weeks ago. I'd recommend Ben and his team to anyone needing similar work done and I would use them again in the future.

Service was completed in timely fashion, service tech was professional answered all my questions and did a through job.

He showed up on time, was very friendly, and quickly completed the service.

Everything went fine and he did a thorough job of checking everything, telling me that I wouldn't need the furnace serviced again until about two years later. The only thing I would point out is that he initially said that he didn't have any filters for the furnace on him. He wanted me to wait until another person from his company with the filter to come by the next day. I had to offer to pay to get him to go buy the filters just a few blocks away. He ended up getting a different size but gave me a couple of extra filters.

I was very happy with them. They were very good.

The technician was a few minutes late due to traffic, but called beforehand to let me know. Such a call is always appreciated, and reflects well on the provider. He had no problem with my watching the whole process, explaining each item he was working on. One issue was identified, the options for dealing with it were fully explained, and there was no pressure at all towards the more expensive options. I will to call on them again.

The representative was polite and friendly on the phone. He made an appointment that was convenient for my schedule and was right on time. The workman went right to work. He took panels off the furnace and checked all the parts and connections. He put everything back the way he found it and cleaned up afterwards.

Service person arrived as scheduled and completed servicing as advertised.

No problems with the furnace, but wanted a cleaning, tune-up and safety check. They arrived on time, did their work professional, explained everything he had done and what to expect in the future. Really pleased with the level of service and care. I shall definitely use them again.

He was exactly on time, did his job well and gave us advice for the future use of our air conditioner and he didn't try to upsell us on other services or products. Nice job! Great price!

well as you know seattle weather sometimes will not co operate,we had some severe weather to deal with during the install, believe me ,these guys worked thru raining down pours, heavy winds,

The team showed up on time and got right to work. I think they were very efficient and finished on schedule. The job was completed as promised and for a very fair price. I would give Black Lion an A.

We used an Angie's List special to get a new furnace installed. We needed some additional work done to update the venting to be adequate for the new unit, which cost a little extra. The unit it supposed to be an upgrade to our 20-year old system, but I honestly haven't noticed much improvement and our heating bill actually went up this winter compared to last year. That being said, I'm happy to know that we aren't looking at any nasty surprises in the near future where it goes out on a freezing day. That's the comfort of having a new until versus one that's well past it's prime. The installation was quick, efficient, and a fair price. Can't complain.

All workers were prompt, courteous and did a great job from start to finish. This is the second time I have used the services of Black Lion Heating & Air Conditioning.

He was running a special on the kind of water heater we wanted which caught our attention so we got a good deal, it was like $900 offer. He was great, I talked to Ben directly and it was kind of an emergency, our water heater began leaking, he called me back on a weekend, had me send him photos so he knew exactly what he was looking at in terms of connections and he knew everything he would need to do the replacements, he was able to come the next day and he showed up and he was done in a very short period of time, he did a great job, and he was very nice, he was extremely polite.

Came out and promptly checked out furnace, gave estimate for replacement, performed work quickly and efficiently. Cleaned up before leaving. Excellent!

My first month electric bill moving into this new house in December was $740, needless to say I had to replace furnace and hot water heater with gas. The furnace was in the crawl space under the deck, not easy to get to, and the opening needed to be widen for the new furnace to go in. I got three quotes - two from Angie's list and one from PSE contractor list. Black Lion from angie's list was the middle quote. I chose Black Lion because Ben was very down to earth, patient in explaining things to me, and very prompt in following up. The other two guys made me feel that I was clueless which I probably was but Ben didn't make me feel I was less intelligence on such matters of my female gender. They started on Monday 3/18, were about an hour late coming over but called in advance to tell me that they were delayed due to traffic. I remember that week was nasty, raining constantly and sure felt bad that they had to go under the deck crawling around on the rain-soaked soil to replace the furnace. The furnace replacement went through smoothly and by next day morning, they were working on water heater replacement. By end of Tuesday, water heater was replaced except it didn't work as expected - it would over heat and shut itself off. It was determined that motor was defective, so next day they came back with new motor but still didn't work, turns out the water heater itself was malfunctioning. Ken felt terrible about it and apologized over and over again. They came back Thur morning with a new unit for as if God is having fun on us, the new unit still didn't work. To compensate for the dramas of back and forth, Ben gave me a free upgrade in water heater, and it's being working just great! True it wasn't as smooth but what is? It's how Ben and Black Lion handled an unexpected situation with professionalism and patience that meant a great deal to me!

Their prices were the best that we got. So far they have done good work, and have been very responsive. The owner of Black Lion is very likeable, and I would recommend them to anybody.

Fantastic. The price was great so I purchased it as soon as I saw it on Angie's List. Very prompt follow-up after purchase, quick scheduling of installation, and everything went exactly as advertised on installation day. The owners and employees were great to work with, would definitely recommend Black Lion and I'll be using them for any future heating/air-conditioning work.

Ben came and did an estimate on a Thursday, and work was performed on the following Monday on schedule. The installers were professional and knew their business. The left the area as clean and orderly as they found it, and everything was completed on time and to my satisfaction. I used an Angie's List coupon for this new furnace, price was exactly as quoted and I assume, as far as I know, the coupon saved me some $$. The electrician did need to make a return trip to get my outlets back to the way that was agreed to, but even that went well and was no hassle.
