The window washer did a good job but tried to help take some screens out and forgot to wash two windows. When I realized what had happened, he came back in a day or so and finished. Otherwise the overall rating would be A. A very pleasant man and a good worker. Would have appreciated more initial information about when counting windows . Found out if the window is a slider, it counts as two panes and they only mean the outside. If I wanted the inside washed too, it would have counted as 4 panes.

From my first phone contact with Ben, to meeting face to face with Brian, customer service was top priority. Final price and equipment were established, and installation date. Flawless install and great communication with the install team. Black Lion is a great example of delivering what has been promised and more, I would recommend them without hesitation.

The showed up on time for both the initial evaluation appointment and to do the work. Very courteous and professional. Outlined exactly what was covered by the AL Deal as well as options and what each costs. Went over the work they would need to do. They were able to reuse all the existing lines for water, gas, and ventilation so no extra costs there. I opted for the newer, more efficient unit since it wasn't that much more expensive and would pay for itself in ~3-4 years. The work was very professional and they did a great job cleaning everything up and leaving things tidy. Only one minor complaint: the new unit is mounted on a piece of plywood that's not finish-grade. For us, it doesn't matter because it is in a laundry room which is separate from any public spaces that most guests will see. But for others, I could imagine making sure the mounting board is finish grade. Overall, though, excellent experience and I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to any friends or family in the area in need of similar services.

Excellent product & service. Very happy with my new Bryant furnace - 96% energy efficient. Bryan was on-time for the scheduled appointment to provide a estimate. All my questions were answered. Very thorough explanation of the entire installation process. The installers, Jason & Jeremy, arrived on-time on the scheduled day. The installation was completed in just 1/2 day. The new thermostat was installed & programmed for me. During the installation, there were lots of tools, parts & materials spread-out around the furnace area, but they cleaned-up thoroughly before they left........taking my old furnace with them. Very fine professional experience with Black Lion Heating & A/C. I love the new furnace......so quiet; performs beautifully & effortlessly. So nice to finally get what you pay for!

Ben, the owner came out himself. He checked the pressure and then gave us avery complete cleaning. He then examined the unit inside and did a fantastic job making a minor repair at no additional charge, We will call Black Lion again! Thank you

They were very professional and found a problem with my furnace that several others had missed over a few years. I waited several months to right the review to see if the problem would actually be fixed or not and we have not a any problems at all. This has not been the case with several other companies. I have spent thousands over the years for the same problem over and over, having someone come out several times every winter saying they fixed the problem and my furnace breaking down again within two months. Black Lion Heating and Air Conditioning has finally fixed the problem that others have missed. I would deffinetely recommend them to others.

Ben at Black Lion was so great, he came out check and condition my furnace, I told him I have a issue with my sump pump, he went to my crawl space to trouble shoot it even! This is not totally his job and he did it for me without extra charge. I am so grateful to Ben. I later went back and bought brand new furnace for my other rental property. It was all of Ben's great service.

They arrived as planned, he looked at my furnace and began taking it apart, I asked why he needed to disassemble the unit and he explained that there was a sensor in the rear of the unit that he needed to check, now keep in mind I had another company that was the local provider and the people I bought the furnace from servicing this for years, but they didn't do the job that Black lion did, and they charged 3x'sas much for about 30 minutes of work. The service I received from Black Lion, one word, impeccable. I will use Black Lion from now on no matter the cost, they are worth every dollar.

Install went great. It took 2 days for the install. They came on a Friday and then came back the following Friday.

I purchased a discount coupon thru Angie's List. I did not call them right away but when I did they were friendly and professional. We set up a time to have the work done. They were there on time. The furnace is an older model and has not been run in a couple of years due to the house being in foreclosure when I purchased it. They did not try to upsell me but let me know that it may be on its last leg. Black Lion cleaned and made adjustments to it so to run as optimal as possible. Thru the winter I got zero complaints from my renters about the performance of the furnace so will consider that a job well done. I would consisted them for work to be done in the future.

They were quick, clean and fast. Everything worked great the first time. They were very reasonably priced.

We received a flyer in the mail from Black Lion, and didn't take much notice of it until we had guests over and they just about died because of the heat around the end of June. We called Black Lion the next day and they responded within two hours of our call. Ben, the co-owner, came over to the house to meet with us that same day. He listened to what we wanted, went through the house, looked at the old heater and garage. He then went outside our home to take a look at the best place to put the air conditioner. We discussed the issues and he came back with a very reasonable offer to install a new single stage heater and Bryant 113 A/C unit. He said he had to confer with his partner Jason and would get back to us that day or the next day to let us know when it could be installed. He called us back the next day and gave us an installation date of July 10th, approximately 1 week from the date we met. They came that day about 12:00 noon and had both units installed in about 7 hours. It would have been done that day but our electrical box was old and the electrician had a bit of a time with it to set it up right for us. He would have stayed until much later but we could see he was really tired and told him to go home get some rest and be back the next day to finish it up. Jason, the co-owner and the person who put in the air conditioner and heater helped us set up the new thermostat, went over it with us and made sure that we knew how to use it. The whole crew was excellent. When they were done the area was cleaner than the way we had it ready for them. Jeremy, the electrician, gave us an approximate time he would be able to get back to us as he had another job he was working on in the morning which was between 4:20 PM and 5:30 PM the next day. The following day he called to say he was on his way and arrived at our house at 5:00. He went right to work and our A/C was on in about an hour and a 1/2 working just wonderfully. The A/C unit was even quieter than Ben said it would be. Everyone we came into contact with beginning with Ben was courteous and extremely professional. Nancy and I would highly and absolutely recommend Black Lion to anyone and everyone who needed installation or repair on heaters or air conditioners. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and associates.

Outstanding service provider! My H2O heater broke so I went in search on Angie's List and companies that have worked on my furnace and air conditioning in the past. The price was a little less than the lowest I could find... there was a coupon offer... and they brought it the next day, arrived on time, called to confirm, introduced themselves and went to work. They took out (and away) the broken water heater, cleaned all around the area before they installed the new one. Then they cleaned once again before they left. They also pointed out the difference between the new one and the old one. Oh, and the one that was the closest in price... wasn't available to install it for at least a week!

I ended up getting about 11 bids for the project because the initial few bids all proposed very different approaches to what should be done (much less products). Black Lion had one of the lowest bids and was one of the few that ended up what I thought was a reasonable solution. Initially, I was getting only quotes for a new A/C unit or a Heat pump but after getting the report from the technician (different company) doing an annual inspection of our furnace, decided to replace it at the same time. Black Lion's bid for both A/C + furnace ended up being cheaper than several of the bids for just an A/C unit. While there were other companies that I would say were more detailed in their explanations or thorough in their analysis, I was more than satisfied that the Black Lion representative understood what I was looking for and was knowledgeable in their analysis + proposed solution. One of the reasons I ended up going w/ Black Lion was because there was no pressure to upsell to the pricier model and were honest about my needs and return on value for each option. Installation was fast and efficient - they did a great job fitting the new equipment into the crawlspace that had an opening with about an extra 1/2 in. clearance on all sides without too much damage. In the course of installing the new A/C coil, they had to reroute part of the central vacuuming system. When they didn't have the part on hand, they said that they didn't have the part in stock as it wasn't the same sort of PVC piping that they used and would have to come back to fix it. While it looked the same to me, I'm glad they took the time to explain and assured me that they would get it back to a working state. A week after the installation, Black Lion didn't call back to schedule a time to fix it up so I ended up following up w/ them. They looked up the status and immediately scheduled an appointment fix it. The day of the appointment, I was informed that they were unable to locate the piece and would need to reschedule again for the next business day where they could go to another place where it was available. With the piece in hand, fixing the system took them less than 30 minutes and everything was back in working order. Aside from the hiccup w/ the central vacuum system, I was impressed w/ Black Lion's work and we were able to appreciated the A/C as temperatures climbed shortly afterwards. While the work that Black Lion did was great, the electrical technician they worked with was a bit sloppier in terms of wiring and while perfectly acceptable, wasn't as neat in comparison to the rest of the work. Overall, I was happy with the work and more than happy given the price I paid.

I needed a new furnace before the winter. A "big Deal" ad on Angie's list prompted me to call for an estimate. The salesperson for Black Lion, Brian McCulloch, had done his homework. He knew when the house was built and the size of the house. He toured the house and recommended an 80% efficient furnace and my best option. I was so very well impressed by his knowledge and promptness that I decided not to bother with more estimates. A lot of this reasoning was based on the good scores on Angie's List and Yelp for Black Lion Heating and Air conditioning services and installation. The installation went smoothly and was a big job to remove the old furnace because the house was built around it. The removal and the installation were done quickly and cleanly. I was very well impressed by the working crew. My overall experience was a very good one.

We purchased the deal of "$59 for A/C Tune-Up or Furnace Clean and Check" with Black Lion. They called and scheduled a visit within a couple of days. The technician showed up on time, checked our A/C unit and cleaned it. He also gave us some tips on maintaining and repairing the A/C unit for future reference. Overall, happy with the visit.
