Black Lion Heating & Air Conditioning

It went really well, they were really thorough and they did some cleaning. It’s an older furnace; we’re looking at a furnace replacement in the near future. We would recommend them to friends and family.

Jason with Black Lion Heating & A/C in Kirkland came to my house on January 8, 2013. He was on time, very courteous, and efficient. He had to tune-up my furnace which is under my house and not in the best circumstances. I apologized for how yucky it was under there and he said not to worry, he'd probably seen worse. I have had other HVAC repair companies tell me in the past that they would charge extra for a crawlspace or attic area which is where I have both of my furnaces - he did not and I really appreciated that. (btw I didn't use the other companies.) Because there is so much moisture under my house he had to replace all the burners (4) and he had them on his truck, as well as a new filter which I needed. He offered suggestions as to how to keep my furnace running longer but it is corroding out quickly. When it comes time to replace I will definitely use Black Lion Heating and A/C. PS - I've already recommended them to my daughter. They were done early with their previous job, so they called me to check if they could come earlier; which worked out great. They came and examined the furnaces that were having some condensation problem. Both guys were very professional. In 30 minutes or so, they were able to show me the problem areas. One furnace had to be shut down because it was unsafe to run.

With my furnace failing in Feb., I was very eager to get a new one! I did take the time to call 3 or 4 of companies rated well on Angie's List, had 3 of them come out to see the situation and give me an estimate, and then chose Black Lion. Ben had some very good ideas on how to improve the installation, was very professional, pleasant, and said that, because I had NO heat, he would get this taken care of as soon as possible. His partner was here the next morning to remove the old furnace, and the new Bryant furnace was installed the next day, even though they had to work into the evening to finish. I would definitely call Black Lion for any of my heating issues in the future.

I purchased their angies list big deal. They contacted me promptly to schedule an appointment, and they showed up on time. The technician was courteous and did a good job communicating with me. Their price is great as well. I would recommend this provider for furnace check-ups or maintenance.

Was very honest about an issue that impacted the furnace which caused it to turn on when the temperature significantly drops beyond the threshold you set and fixed it at no extra charge. Excellent service, will definitely call them every year for furnace checkup.

I thought I bought furnace tune up and when they arrived he said he did not work on electric furnaces so I wasted my money

The service was excellent. They showed up on time, and they honored the coupon. Ben was the service representative, and he did a great job. I would recommend them.

They delivered as promised. Basically, they showed up when they said they would and they finished the work and cleaned out my garage. The technician was very skilled because there were some issues with some wiring and he was able to fix those but they were a bit too short because somebody had cut one of the wires. I am most impressed that they actually signed the paperwork with Puget Sound Energy Company and I received the $250 check from them because I have a high-efficiency furnace and they just did it on their own. I have no complaints. I like them. I had somebody come to my house first to assess if the pipes could be put in and what holes could be drilled in the garage and so on and then I selected the furnace and then they just came and did the work. The price was competitive but I chose them not on the price but rather on the reviews because I found them on Angie's List. I read the reviews that's why I chose them. I didn't care if the price was +/- 1%. I think their price was fair. They were really good.

Did what was promised, gave me an opinion of the status of the furnace took about an hour and was very satisfied with the work and of the person who did the work.

I bought a Big Deal for a furnace tune up. It was easy to contact the company and schedule the service on the day I wanted. The technician arrived promptly. He did an extensive inspection of my furnace, and he found a problem with it. He told me that I probably needed to buy a new furnace and that my old one could be dangerous. Then, he told me about another Big Deal they had for a new, 80% efficiency furnace. He told me about the new regulations that were mandating high-efficiency furnaces. He also gave me his (negative) opinion of the new furnaces. At the time, I was grateful for all of the information. Later, I began to feel like I'd gotten a sales pitch. I wondered if my furnace was really broken, and whether I really needed a new furnace. I did get a second opinion from another company, and they did confirm that my furnace probably needed to be replaced. So, I really must commend the Black Lion technician for that. He caught the problem during what would have been a simple, routine inspection. However, some of the other information he gave me turned out not to fit with the research I did. I ended up feeling like I had been subjected to scare tactics, in order to get me to buy an 80% efficiency furnace from Black Lion. That bothers me, and for that reason, I cannot recommend them. Also, since the technician was so negative about high-efficiency furnaces--and since that's what I ended up buying--I won't use them in the future.

Scheduled gas furnace inspection/tune-up on Angie's List. Black Lion promptly confirmed the appointment. Jason (technician) came out on time, performed work, explained what was being done and answered all my questions. Jason checked everything thoroughly, inspected, cleaned parts and tested everything. All very professional. Excellent value. Would use them again.

Jason came out to service the furnace, and he did a great job. He helped to adjust the thermostat as well, and our house is now much warmer. I felt he was honest and he did a great job. We will for sure contact them again for future maintenance.

The company never contacted me to schedule the work. I asked for a refund.

The service provided to me by Black Lion Heating & Air Conditioning was fine. Their price was good and they came out really quick to put it in. It's still working good.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service that Josh at Black Lion provided. I called them in the early morning and made an appointment for mid-afternoon. They came (45) minutes early, which I really appreciated. Then they were able to diagnose the problem in less than (5) minutes, and fix it (and do a couple of other necessary things) within (10) minutes. The price was awesome - I got charged for the parts, and then their standard $85 service call fee covered the rest. I would highly recommend them, and will definately use them again if the need arises. Thank you Black Lion.

A few days before Thanksgiving, I found my furnace had stopped working. I called Black Lion (after researching prices on other sites) and found their prices and reviews to be the best... others quoted $120+ to come out just to diagnose the issue while, Black Lion was only charging $85 for the first hour. When I looked up their reviews on Angie's list, they were top rated by others, so I thought I would give them a try. I was thrilled at their quick response, especially being close to the holidays. They had someone out quickly (within 2 days... which was ok since I had some fireplace heat) and diagnosed a bad pressure switch within 10 minutes of their arrival. While they didn't have the part they needed and had to order, they were able to get it working for a few days until they were able to get back to complete the new part install. I would recommend them to anyone and would definitely call them again. Just great!!

Originally came out and saw that the air intake vent was decoupled from the furnace, as well as the exhaust piping from the hot water heater. The concrete floor had sunk. I fixed this and they came back and completed the service.

It turned out good. I had to pay for a couple of permits, but it was fine; it was just a couple hundred dollars. They knew what they were doing.

Outstanding. This was purchased for my daughter and son-in-law as a housewarming gift and the 2nd time I have used Black Lion (the first was to replace my own water heater). Both the water heater itself and the quality of installation and service are superb. Highly recommend.

The installers were professional & personable. The installation took around 3 hours. I'm pleased with the results & would hire Black Lion again
