They were clean and professional. The job took longer then they predicted, but they still charged the price they quoted. At one point the company owner stopped by to check their progress ensure quality. They even came back a third day to meet with the Backflow Preventer Inspector when I couldn't get away from work.

The service turned out fine. I am happy. He was on time, great service, and everything was good.

Provider turned up on time, performed the service quickly and efficiently and provided a detailed receipt with the work performed which he talked me through at the end of the job.

Sediment from our 10+ year old hot water heater had begun to clog the screens of our faucets, and our single speed fan gas furnace was having a hard time keeping an even heat throughout the house. We had gotten three estimates for the work. Brian (sales) went over several options for the furnace replacement, pointing out the pros and cons of each. The water heater was a pretty straight forward choice...not a lot of bells & whistles to consider there. The installers were on time, did a walk through to confirm the work to be done and the sequencing of the project before starting work. Nice guys, very efficient and careful to keep the work areas clean. We would definitely recommend Black Lion - thanks for the great job!!!

My experience with this provider was excellent. He was on time, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, efficient and did exactly what we had hired him to do. Our furnace and heat pump were long overdue for a tune- up and it was nice to have a professional who knew what he was doing come and look at them. He also set the thermostat to the correct setting so our heat pump would operate more efficiently, saving us money on future propane bills! I will call Black Lion Heating and Air Conditioning again when I need work done on my heating and coiling appliances.

They're a fine company to work with. This was the first time I had used them, and I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others. The unit has held up fine since they did the work -- as best as an old heater can!

Outstanding service! The sales rep and the technicians were very friendly and helpful. I had called a gas technician recommended by the appliance store, but that one stood me up. When I called Black Lion, I was already behind schedule and stressed out. They were extremely prompt. Even better, the technicians even reset my chimney cap which had been blown over months ago. They didn't even charge me for it! I couldn't be happier. Great company; great people.

They provided excellent service. They installed the system in a single day with no problems. Very happy with furnace upgrade. I would use them for another project if the need arose.

It was very non-eventful. He came in, did the maintenance work, and was done.

The technician showed up right on schedule. I explained that the furnace was new but that we had a red light 'flashing' and that when I saw that Black Lion (which I had used before with great results) had a Groupon offered to inspect furnace I bought one. He inspected the furnace and said that the problem was a VERY dirty air filter and it was causing the furnace to shut down and sent the light flashing. He told me that because the house had recently had a major renovation there was probably a lot of dust in the air and that had probably caused the problem. He showed me the dirty filter and had a new filter in the truck which he installed. He advised me to get more filters and check it again next month to see if was dirty, change if needed until the air ducts ran clean and then to change the filter every year there after or as needed.

They came on time and clean up all the vents. They also discovered that the filter in the furnace was very dirty and charged a little extra to have everything clean up. They also replaced the battery for the furnace so it's working correctly now. Very professional and friendly.

The work went ok. Our project was a bit non-standard because it wasn't just a swap out old appliance with new. We actually needed a few feet of new ductwork out into the garage and it needed to be a specific size to accommodate the air flow from the cold air return to the furnace. Overall, Black Lion did a great job managing the project and making sure I was happy at the end. So in that regard I'm extremely happy. However, they estimated the project a 1.5 days, and in the end I think they needed to make visits on 3 different days for the bulk of the works, and 3 other visits for very minor adjustments (one of which was to replace a faulty thermostat which wasn't their fault at all). The biggest problem was they sent two of their least experienced guys out on the first day of the project by themselves. They were extremely friendly guys who worked very hard, but they made a few mistakes from their inexperience that had to be redone on day two when a supervisor showed up to check over the work. We ended up not having a working furnace for roughly 36 hours (from 8am one day until 8pm the next day). This was during the coldest week we've had in the NW this year, so we were pretty miserable. Even at the end of these two days of work, they still didn't finish the water heater so they hooked up the old water heater again and scheduled a new days to install the new water heater about a week and a half later. In the end, they got all of the work done, and I appreciated their friendliness and determination to get everything right. I just would have appreciated if the work had stayed on schedule (or closer to schedule), and especially if they would have sent a new guy with an experienced guy on the first day of the project.

The initial contact was by telephone to ask various questions. Ben Ward (owner) was very personable in answering my questions and providing information. The installer (Patrick) provided exceptional proficiency (skill @ customer service). Ben, if this employee is an example of your personnel you have the total package. Great customer service experience!!

Very good, the technician gave me a reliable projection of the end of life of my furnace as well as performing a tuneup

After they serviced and inspected it they found there was a dangerous crack that could really be a problem. After further investigation we agreed and decided to have them replace the furnace. They gave us a quote to replace it and a quote to fix it. Since we were selling the house we decided to replace it. They were gracious to replace it quickly before we sold the house. I was very impressed and would use them again. I recommend them to others.

It has been a LONG time since I have had service of this quality, the company acts like a good old fashioned one that prides themselves on delivering superb service

An excellent company! From the initial contact, proposal, installation, and followup, Black Lion, was friendly, professional, and efficient. Kevin, the sales representative, was knowledgeable, low pressure, and did a great job in following up with my questions. Ben, the owner, was able to meet with me in a timely manner to answer additional questions about the installation and was able to put the job on the calendar within a few days. Jason, a partner, did the majority of the installation along with Ben, and both were able to install the system in an amazingly efficient manner, taking extra care in minimizing the "mess" and inconvenience that sometimes accompany home improvements. The city permit was approved the day after the installation without a problem.The system is now installed and running beautifully. I've already received notice from PSE that my rebate paperwork submitted by Black Lion has been received, and Ben called me yesterday just to check on how everything was working. Like I said, an excellent company from start to finish. I would recommend Black Lion to anyone and will definitely use them in the future.

The sales man was awesome. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He came and did the inspection and you could tell he was experienced. He did the scheduling for me and I would give him an A+. The implementation was the plumbers were A’s as well and they did a great job. The only complaint is they did not increase the exhaust on the outside to my heater and in return the water heater exhaust had a lot of power and it sucked in the carbon. They mentioned that they needed to increase the distance. They mentioned that they would just get the work done without scheduling. I found myself having to follow up with that and they finally came out to do it. I would give them an F for the electrician that they hired. He had to come out 3 times, because the first time he did not meet code with the inspector. The 2nd time he came out and put in a circuit and tied it to the light circuit. When he left, I turned the light off, it turned the water heater off. I was upset and I didn’t not want him to come out the 3rd time… This company mentioned that this was the only electrician that they used. The sales rep got involved and he was very sorry. I got an email from the sales guy and the secretary and they mentioned that the same electrician would come out, but the owner would come out with him. The 3rd time the electrician came out, without the owner. When I asked him where the owner was, he said he did not know. He did fix it on the 3rd time. I told the owner prior to this day, that when he came out, I wanted better coordination with the city inspector because I needed to be home. I suspect that the inspector came out, but I was not home when they came out. The electrician ruined the entire experience for me.
