It was fabulous. He gave us a great deal on the furnace cleaning.

Black lion was offering a big deal on AC installation at the time. When I contacted them, the promotion was about to run out. They told me they won't be able to make it to our house before the promotion ends. However, they still honored the promotion price, which is very nice of them. The work was done quickly and professionally. And the price is very good, since it is a Big Deal promotion. I am very satisfied with their work and will definitely recommend them.

Overall, Black Lion did a decent job of installing a 4-ton central air conditioning unit. The salesperson was helpful and informative. The installers were friendly, timely and respectful. They cleaned up the area very well. The price for the work is very reasonable. I am using the AC today as it's warm out and it seems to be working well. However, I'm giving them a "B" rating overall. There are two reasons for this rating. I had to follow up with the company a couple of times about the HVAC inspection, which they hadn't scheduled until I pressed them about it. That made me worry a little bit. Not sure why they didn't contact me about that but I finally had the inspection done a month or so after the installation. Also, I hired an independent inspector to inspect my almost 1 year old home because the home warranty was expiring. This independent inspector went under the crawl space and discovered that the electrical line and refrigerant line that Black Lion installed were NOT secured every 6 feet per code but secured every 12-15 feet instead. Pure laziness on the part of the installers! They know that official inspectors don't look at the crawl space so they didn't care to take the extra minute to do the job properly and left the electrical lines dangling about. Luckily, my independent inspector was there when one of Black Lion's employees came back with some paperwork and he secured the lines for me. He was very nice and apologetic about it and I had him look at the installation on top of the furnace to make sure that they didn't do anything shoddy there. So, because of the poor follow up with the official HVAC inspection and dangling lines, they put doubt in my mind about how well they did on the installation. I did recommend Black Lion to one person but now I regret it.

The provider (Black Lion Heating) could not have been more cooperative or courteous. They were a total pleasure to work with and I am very sorry that the deal did not come together--especially for them to have some benefit. I totally endorse this provider based on their attitude and their effort to make all this situation come together. They were a pleasure to work with! Totally. Keep them on Angie's List.

When our furnace went out the coldest weekend in December, we called Black Lion Heating based on ratings on Angie's list and the fact that they provided emergency weekend service. They were at our house within two hours. They were able to get the heater going and let us know we needed a new furnace as this was a temporary fix. The next day we ordered a new furnace from them and scheduled installation for the next week. When our heater went out again later that day, they again came out and got it working one more time. The third time it went out, nothing more could be done until the new furnace could be installed. So they provided us with enough space heaters to keep us reasonably comfortable until the new furnace was installed. Through this whole ordeal. They we're awesome!

Wonderful job by Black Lion. I was impressed by the positive reviews they continue to get on Angie's List, and now I see why. The tech showed up early (I wasn't home) called to let me know he was available, and waited patiently until I could get home to meet him. HE was in and out in about 30 minutes, extremely courteous and knowledgeable. Will definitely call them if I have any troubles with my heating or AC.

It’s pretty good. Sure, I have them a couple of times for the couple of years, once a year for the last couple of years. I want to say somewhere in September 2013 that they were here right before winter.

I think the service with Black Lion Heating & Air Conditioning was fine. He was prompt, they scheduled it quickly and came out when they said they would come out. They were very professional. I would recommend them. I think the pricing was good. I will surely use them again.

Everything went great. I have used three heating/AC companies in the past 5 years and Black Lion was by far the best. I had some unique needs and desires for the system, and they worked with me to customize things exactly how I wanted. The county inspector commented on what a good job they did with the installation and had no issues. They were very pleasant to work with, and their bid was very competitive. I will definitely use them again.

It was fine. I thought they could have done a more thorough job as they were very quick to get the job done. They were done within about 15 minutes. The technician was very helpful and he gave us information about our thermostat programming. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I was happy with the technician.

They did a good job. I have no complaints, it was quality work.

Service was efficient and on time. Didn't try to sell us on any upgrades. They also looked at a non-functional cold-air intake vent in the bedroom that actually wasn't connected to anything and gave us advice on filling the vent opening with expandable foam. Provided possible fixes for keeping the bedroom warmer at a low price point.

For both services calls the technicians were on time, performed the work as needed, and left the project clean. Both service calls the technician took the time to answer my questions, as well as advised me on use of the furnace and new hot water tank.

It was fine. The work they did turned out fine. My interactions with the provider was fine. I don't remember anything bad about them at all. When I needed to begin the next year, Angie's List was running a special with a different company and so I took that, rather than call them back again. But they did a fine job. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount.

I can't give details as I was not looking in the furnace. He was friendly and left things clean.

This turned out fine. There was an extra cost for the tank that they have to put above the water tank.

Their people were really professional, and were willing to explain to me what they were doing, and why.

By the time they got there, the unit had been stolen as the house was vacant. We ended up applying this deal toward something else.

I admit it. . . I had put off having my furnace cleaned and inspected for far too long -- about 3-4 years. When I saw that Black Lion Heating and AC had a "Big Deal" I decided to give them a try. I scheduled an appointment online -- they were able to fit me in (even with my crazy schedule) within a week. Wow! The service man was prompt (about 10 minutes early -- a first for me!) and got right to work. When he was finished he gave me a complete rundown of the "state" of my furnace (everything was in great working order) and answered all my questions about the probable lifespan, when it makes sense to replace it, etc. I highly recommend them.
