Took vacation and planned whole day around this project. Even after shelling out $825 as an advance payment "so they can schedule me" they did not show up and seem not to care in the least

Jeff arrived on time and went to work. He was thorough and meticulous and explained what he was doing. Some parts were corroded and needed a good cleaning. He did the job right and the fireplace is no working great! We have used Black Lion before, and they take pride in doing a superior job!

The work and technicians were great, very professional, and a high quality job. Will definitely hire them again. The price they charged for the 2nd job we thought was exceedingly high. I called the office and talked to operating manager about charges. He promised to review the invoice and get back to me and, as promised, he did. He agreed with me and gave me a refund for about half of the charges. It really impressed me. I highly recommend them.

The initial bid appointment went well. I was quoted a fair price for the work. I got 7 bids and they were right in the middle in terms of price. Sales guy wasn’t pushy and didn’t try to over sell. I had a complicated installation and after hearing their solution, it made the choice easy. Black lion also uses Bryant which is part of the carrier/day n nite family. Industry leading reliability. The equipment has the lowest part cost and has a better part network than Lennox or Trane. Warranty claims are also supposed to be easier according to the internet. Installers arrived on time and spent the majority of the day working on the project. I’m a picky guy and they met my expectations for quality of work. There was one hiccup which caused the install to run into a second day (a house wiring problem), but they solved it and gave me a new thermostat free of charge. No issues were found when the work was inspected by the city. Definitely recommended.

Well. The electrician quickly diagnosed the problem and handled it. They showed up solidly in their projected arrival window, got the job done, and gave us useful advice on how to avoid the problem in the future.

Person who came out to bid was very knowledgeable and very good at measuring and calculating the load needed. He went over the options and help calculate how long it would take for us to justify moving up to a high efficiency unit. Turns out the 80% single stage was the best for us. Install team was fast and had it installed in 4 hours.

I called another Heating and Air Conditioning company when my furnace went out on/2/23 at 11 am and was advised it was considered an emergency service call and would be $329. I called Black Lion and spoke with Tahlia and she was fantastic. She told me that one of her crews was in the area and would send them over. Scott arrived and accessed the situation with my furnace and advised me of the issue. Scott got the furnace started, but said it probably wouldn't last the day. He provide a quote for a new furnace and dates they were available to install. Scott was correct my furnace went out on Friday. I called them on Saturday and spoke to Jackie who along with Scott helped secure an install for Tuesday. Matt, Tyson, Willie installed the furnace. After they left I noticed a fault code on my thermostat. Called the office and spoke to Melanie who assisted with getting Parker to come out correct the error. It was great to finally have heat. They did a great job. Black Lion has been quick to respond to any questions that I have had.

Came out the same day and fixed our gas furnace that wasn't working. They came ahead of schedule and got heat going again.

Had a great interaction with their out of hours scheduling service, and received a call back from their furnace technician within minutes. He took the time to listen to my description, asked a few pointed questions about my furnace setup and recent maintenance (specifically, filter cleaning schedule) and immediately diagnosed over the phone that the issue was insufficient airflow most likely caused by clogged filters. The tech gave clear instructions over the phone how to remove and clean the filters (more complex in my system due to an electrostatic filter system). I removed the filters following instruction, cleaned them and dried them, and after refitting, the issue with the furnace was resolved. All this at no charge to me by Black Lion!! Great customer service from Black Lion!!!

We had a handyman come over who was fairly confident that he could replace our ceiling fan lights with flush-to-ceiling LED lights. The wire configuration was strange to him, so I ended up calling Black Lion Electtrical to finish the job. I've always been impressed with how fast they are able to get someone to our house - today they were able to come THE SAME DAY. Adis came and installed the new lights and a switch in very good time. Have had their electricians over before, and I'm always happy with their work and promptness. Thank you!

Very good service, great technician. He explained everything and advised us on replacing the air cleaner which was not working well. He is returning tomorrow with the new air cleaner.

Electrician showed up on time but wasn't prepared to do the work and pushed me out to do a bid for someone "they do a lot of work with."

Great! Nick was right on time, got to work promptly and found we had a small crack in the igniter. When the one he had on the truck with him was faulty, he went and got the part himself, so we didn't have to wait on having heat again. He also gave us a good quote on a water heater, which we haven't had done yet, but which needs to be done.

I had Black Lion come out on a Tuesday to do an annual service on a furnace that was functioning normally. The technician was late in arriving but I tend to expect that. He did the service and noted a couple of items on my 19 year old furnace were near the end of their life but not worth fixing for $1000. I woke up 3 days later to a non-functioning furnace. Were his insights that keen or did he do something to aid the demise of my furnace? I'll never know. Let's just say the timing didn't help my perception of Black Lion. I had paid an extra $90 for next year's service and it provided a discount of I bought a new furnace so I stayed with them and bought the new furnace. I called as soon as I realized on that Friday that we had no heat. I was told the best they could do was get to me on Tuesday. After some haggling it was changed to Monday afternoon. It was a cold weekend. I was told they would arrive between 12-2. I hadn't heard from them so I called to ensure they were coming. It was now between 12-3. At 3:00, I called again. They were running late. At 4:00, still late. They finally arrived about 4:30 or 5:00. The install went well and the furnace runs as expected but why was it I had to take the initiative to get updates on ETA versus them calling to let me know what was happening? I gave them low scores due to the unfortunate timing of the breakdown 3 days after service and the lack of punctuality or follow up. They certainly didn't rise to the level of a super service provider.

Everything went great. Had to install a couple special breakers in panel to make room for additional 50amp breakers. Work was done professionally and on schedule. Pricing was fair, but maybe a little on the high side. Would hire again.

I had a bid scheduled for new furnace and installation and the night before discovered my firnace had died when I returned from being out of town. They arrived on time and did a quick assessment and had a bid to me in a couple hours. I decided to go with Black Lion because of the bid of 3000 and other company bid of 6800. They got me scheduled within two days since I had no heat. They arrived on time and were done within 2 hrs. They were polite and professional and explained every thing well. I had a time restriction and they worked with me to get all the paperwork done prior to me leaving so they could finish up if I had to leave before they were done. Furnace has been working great.

Would not recommend this company, very poor customer service. Initially was very happy that Brian came out quickly and troubleshooted the problem. He seemed professional and was prompt. I had a chain of lights/plugs go out after changing a few outlets. He immediately found the problem outlet and tightened the screws and left a little more of a gap at the wire connections of one of the outlets. He said the rest of the connections may need tightening and I might want to do that. So the service call total was nearly $300 and the lights went out the following day. When I called back this weekend he asked if I had changed the rest of the plug. Honestly for $300 and a $15 minute visit I felt maybe he should have checked the other outlets as he identified that as part of the problem. Anyway I called them back and spoke with Brian directly. I voiced that I was frustrated and wondered why would an electrician tell me to change the rest of the 4 outlets in the room as they would likely cause the same problem. He became extremely defensive, to the point of nearly yelling at me for clogging up their emergency lines and telling me I didn't understand his services, then essentially hung up on me after he spoke his mind not allowing me to respond. When I initially talked with answering service I I told them I would just like the lights fixed by Thanksgiving not to drop everything and come today. Anyway it was an extremely rude response and I couldn't get a word in edgewise.

Everything went well. Jeff came out and did an estimate, and helped us plan out a solution that we could start with and possibly expand on in the future if we needed to replace our existing gas blower. Phil and Nick, the installers, were really considerate of the space and vacuumed any dust or insulation that was knocked less from opening up access points in the walls for the units. I'm pretty sure they left our place cleaner than when they started. I was also glad Phil paid attention to a small opening in the dry wall by one of the units, and had brought up some mud to seal it before before I could mention it. Nice attention to detail. It was three days work in all.
