The young man was prompt, went right to work in the furnace room. No hard sell for annual contract, but provided brochures with information available. He told us that our furnace was in great working order. Black Lion would be our first call if we had a problem develop involving our furnace.

I felt the service was perfunctory and minimal. Asked about a filter that seemed to be missing and was told (incorrectly) that none was needed. Not impressed.

The nicest guy in the world showed up. He really understood the details of electricity and ductless systems. Very polite and professional and nice. He cleaned and tuned up my ductless heating/cooling system, and then discovered I had had a surge of power that caused minor damage. He then installed a surge protection device that manages the whole furnace. I actually feel lucky I called them because it protects my investment in the future; I had no idea there was no surge protection installed when I bought it. A very good service experience.

It was good. Scheduling was good. The staff was friendly. Nothing stood out really except that we grabbed the deal when we found it. They didn’t charge me anything more than the big deal price. I would recommend them.

When they looked at my installation they said it would cost $2450 plus tax without an explanation of why it was so much more than what the Deal covered, so I requested a refund.

Service tech was prompt and knowledgeable, and performed the tune-up service to our satisfaction. We have an unusual cold air return for our furnace, so they didn't give us a new filter or follow up with an alternative (which is a little disappointing), but we're satisfied with the tune up work and I would hire them again.

Cleaned & checked burners, blower, inducer, sensors, ignition system, checked natural gas line. Found a water leak that was fixed. Patrick was very helpful, suggested a new furnace within the year since due to the age of the current furnace, it may quit working tomorrow or next week, month. Worked with me to find several rebate programs I could apply to a new 90% efficient furnace, which will be installed by Black Lion in March. I was very satisfied with my interactions with several people in the company. When I asked about getting a lower cost furnace, they even sent Colin out to see if an 80% efficiency furnace could be installed but due to the venting, the cost would be about the same as the 90% with rebates once all the labor and cost of the venting was done. I'm very satisfied with Black Lion and highly recommend them.

The technician was prompt and professional. He was here for an annual checkup on our furnace. He made one recommendation of an issue to watch for in the future and did not try to push other products as others have done in the past. We would definitely use this service again.

It went okay. I wasn’t impressed. On the course of checking it out, he noticed that a wire had been heat burned through, which is very simple thing to fix and put in a new diesel wire. The fellow didn’t have any wire with him in advance. I had to schedule another appointment and take another day off from work. I had him come out and put what amount of wire needed. They are people that install and service furnaces. I just couldn’t believe that they don’t carry stock items like wire in their van. Next time, if I’ll have somebody come out next fall, I’m going to find somebody else. It wasn’t the cost. It’s two days off on my part to just put in a 6 inches piece of wire. Their price was average. Punctuality was good. Both times the guy arrived when they said they would.

Pros: Office Admin, Lynai was very polite and professional. She was able to schedule us for an estimate the same day I called as we were without heat. Salesman, Brian was early for his appointment which was perfectly fine. He was very knowledgable about the product and installation practices. Installation Technician, Jerry was prompt, courteous, efficient and knowledgable in his field providing us with a quality installation in a timely manner. This is really a great company. Cons: It has been a little over 2 weeks since the furnace was installed and I still have not received the permits or been scheduled for inspection. I do realize that King County moves at their own pace and Black Lion has no control over this but I find it a bit disconcerting that there is such a disconnect in this part of the process. Also, I have a question concerning the Pressure Test performed on the heating system that the technician could not answer and have asked several times for a call back from someone in the company who should/might know the answer and at this time have still not received that call back.

The work turned out fine. The two technicians were pleasant and I had no complaints.

I purchased the Big Deal special to have my furnace tuned up. It worked so well. I put in my order one evening and Black Lyon emailed me back the next day to confirm my purchase. I was easily able to schedule an appointment through email. On the day of the service, the technician arrive just ahead of the appointment time and was done in 30 minutes.

Amazing service. They were on time knowledgable, and professional. I have used another company for 10 years, we will be switching. Since we do a twice yearly service, it will be worth it!

My experience was wonderful. I was happy with them. They explained what they were doing in the appointment. They were professional. They did not try to sell me more services.

I purchased an Angie's List special deal for replacement of a water heater for $799. When the guy came out to do the work, he found that the plumbing and electrical hook-ups were not up to code. I live in a manufactured home. He said that if he tried to replace the water heater now, the plastic pipes were so brittle and not installed correctly, they would break. He said that they could give me an estimate on doing the additional plumbing and electrical work, but that he could not do anything with the water heater that day. So I called and they gave me an estimate of at least $900 in addition to what I had already paid for the water heater installation. I told them to go ahead. When the two young men came out to do the work, they were very professional and took a lot of care to protect my carpet. The water heater is located in my walk-in closet. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work and the people who did it. I would definitely hire Black Lion again.

Black Lion did an amazing job and they have always been fantastic to work with! They immediately answer their phones, schedule same or next-day appointments, are always on time, and go above and beyond to address anything we need. Every time we have used their services the total cost came in below the initial estimate given. When they replaced our furnace it required them to pull out our water heater to get proper access to the furnace space. They were very clean and exceeded our expectations by offering additional services for free which included instilling a water pan when they put the water heater back in since it is old to prevent damage in the event that it starts to leak. I HIGHLY recommend them to all of my family and friends and will continue to use them any time we need work done.
