Description of Work: He told me that my ignitors were bad and needed replacing at a cost of $229.00. I didn't believe him so I paid to have another furnace company come out and do a much more thorough inspection. They said the ignitors were fine and showed me the ratings when he tested it; they were nothing like what I was told. He lied to me. I would NEVER use them again.

Description of Work: Braxten arrived on time to look at my air conditioner, which had stopped working. He was very respectful, knowledgable and professional. He diagnosed my AC had been fried by a power surge, probably during a big storm. He said it would be fairly expensive to repair. I wasn't sure it was worth it to me to fix, so I was going to think about it. I then asked him to look at my furnace because I wasn't sure how long ago it had been checked. He discovered it was on its last legs and even dangerous, as an important component was fried as well, and it probably wouldn't make it through the winter. The furnace was original to the house and over 20 years old! About time for a new one. He said they would install an upgraded furnace and throw in the AC repair for free. I believe I got a good deal, and I was lucky to have thought to ask him to look at it. The new furnace works really great, takes much less time to heat uo the house and I am able to keep the thermostat at a lower temperature too. | |The installation went very quickly, Ben and partner arrived when expected, they were both very professional and respectful. All in all it was a very good experience and I would recommend Black Lion to anyone.

Description of Work: A/C unit was installed, the installation team was professional and the install was clean. After the guys left the A/C did not work, nor did the furnace which was fine before hand. I called to have them come back and get it all working, they said they would schedule it and call me back. No response. I called the next day, same thing. No response. I called and left a voicemail the next day. I called and talked to someone the following monday, they apologized and swore I would be hearing back that day. No response again. It was getting cold and we needed out furnace so I called and had another company fix the system. Weeks later Black Lion called me saying there was a balance I owed them. I offered to subtract the cost of the repair and pay them the balance. They yelled at me on the phone and said they were sending me to collections. This is the first thing they actually followed through on and I am currently fighting the collections company to avoid paying them more than I owe.

Description of Work: Did some repairs such as replacing a blown fuse and replaced a broken part. Seemed professional.

Description of Work: Did a detailed check of our furnace. We were pleased with his work, just not the part where we learned we really needed a more efficient one. We were offered a quote for that, but we went with another company.
